According to Megan Fox's boyfriend Brian Austin Green, Transformers 2 production is heading to Egypt after finishing filming at Alamogordo, New Mexico (current rumored location).
According to TFormers, the news was shared with Philadelphia's Preston and Steve morning show while he was promoting the second season premiere of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Nelson, who used to admin Bay's forums before it disappeared for unknown reasons, had said back in March that Egypt was potentially on the shooting schedule.

ReplyDeletegood luck to everyone getting leaked footage...
ReplyDeleteLooks like more Scorponok. He could move from Qatar to Egypt pretty easily underground.
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody know the real reason why Bay's site went down? I've heard conspiracy theories, but they owe it the posters there to at least give us some explanation.
ReplyDeleteI can confirm TF2 is filming in NM! A gentleman that build sets chatted with me the other night and said he just got back from NM and was going to be working on iron man 2!
ReplyDeletenew mexico is egypt in the movie. they just need to shoot a few location shots to establish the pyramids. it's a movie trick.
ReplyDeletethe first movie wasn't shot in afghanistan, it was here in the states.
I would echo above. It's probably a location establishment only lasting a few flybys and that's it. Everything else may be staged in New Mexico.
ReplyDeleteLike how in the first movie, the fly-by past the Pentagon even though no scenes were actually filmed there (they were filmed elsewhere).
They are definitely filming in Egypt. While I was at the filming of TF2 in Princeton, I spoke with a couple people on the set while they were filming a scene inside with Rainn Wilson as the professor of an astronomy class (something having to do with dropping an apple, which took many hours because Bay wanted it just perfect). Anyways, they said they were going to be filming in many places, pennsylvania (which had already occurred), new jersey (which was going on at that time), the california area (specifically LA), and then off to egypt.
ReplyDeleteYa thts gr8, im an egyptian and i live in egypt apperantly, but does any1 know when r they going to film in egypt cause i want to go there and watch

ReplyDeleteHi there, I'm not a fan of Tranformers but I can confirm after visiting the Pyramids section in Cairo last Friday (17th oct) that there was indeed a film crew filming on the third pyramid in the Giza area (can't remember the name, but for those of you that know, its the Pyramid with half of one side that looks like it's been dug out. They were filming some scene late in the afternoon before sunset (when the heat was less intense) and it was quite amazing because my grlfriend and I sat on some rocks 20 metres away from it all and managed not to get sussed out by thesecurity crew (who were all wearing T2 badges...one of the crew was tieing up his shoelace behind me and confirmed to me it was T2)about 40 people on site, the locals were trying to get their camels and donkeys in the scenes, which involved one of the cast climbing part of the pyramid.....
