The set report:
- The core cast is at the location, Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson
- Today they shot a fight scene at a desert set similar to one from the first movie.
- Extras on set comprised of various needs including a "Strike Force" and Jordanian soldiers.
- Heard rumor that Julie White and Kevin Dunn (Sam's parents) where also on the White Sands set.
- Additionally heard that TF2 may film in Ruidoso which is about 30 minutes from Alamogordo. Ruidoso is in the mountains surrounded by a dense forest.
Update: Turns out the Jordan theory is wrong. Based on info from the Entertainment Tonight set report (video here) it appears that White Sands is being used as Egypt for the purposes of the film. It is possible that the "Jordanian soldiers" extras is either to hide the Egyptian location or because Transformers production will later film in Jordan. The extras could be part of getting the scenes they need to tie the various locations together.
For the images, anonymous noted that Bumblebee looked closer to orange then yellow. Also the perimeter for pictures was around 20 feet as that is when the cars look best but he did notice a little paint chipping and smudges. As the photos show, if they are there I can't see them. On some of the photos there are attempts to remove some of the date stamps so they don't distract from the image.

ReplyDeleteOne of the Walmart specials shows her in her motorcycle form...couldn't tell who was on her at the time (it was two people, if I recall correctly)...you should be able to find the clip somewhere on YouTube...

You know, this might be a scene in the beginning before any new transformers get to Earth, explaining why only the surviving autobots are present.

I can agree with the above statement. Just making me think of where Ratchet goes when the rest of the crew is around. Something tells me he goes off to do some kind of Research while the Fighters of the Group go and take on the bad guys 8)

As I am "anonymous in alamogordo" the one who gave this blog site these photos. I can honestly say that I DID NOT photo shop any of the Transformer, vehicles, nor the Camaro. However, if you look closely I did blur out the faces of many people who were in the background. I didn't think they'd appreciate their photo splashed on a site they didn't give permisson for. So no photo shop for the actual bot nor vehicles, people only. 'nuff said
The robot mode is the old camero look because it's just a stand in. If it does get shot, it will probably be from a distance and from the back or something. You people automatically assume that the people working on the movie are just that stupid to miss such a blatant continuity issue. Use your heads every once in a while.

ReplyDeleteinterestingly... Bumblebee's wheels when transformed are still the original ones (from TF1) whereas the 'new' new Camero has new wheels. WOnder when this will be updated
ReplyDeleteThese picts are NOT faked. I am working on the shoot here and can validate all of these. All of these picts were take at a photo op for base personnel as a thank you of sorts. Bumblebee in robot form as seen here is for this purpose only and not used in the movie, and has not been updated.

Of course its not gonna look like the movie ahh cant figure out a good word to use but MOST of Tranformers was CG so building another huge robot just for lamebrains to pick apart would be rather stupid if you ask me which you didnt but Im gonna make you take these word anyway..
