Barricade Prototype Toy Pics
The prototype toy pics reveal parade ends with Barricade. Once again, from eBay, his toy seems to most closely resemble the link CGI pic of him from yesterday. The look of the toy is probably the best of the group except I am hoping the arms have more articulation then the pics are revealing. These toy pics do bring up an additional question of how closely will the toys follow how the movie does the transformations. If the transformations have the level of detail that previous interviews with Bay and other indicate I am thinking not much but it should be interesting what the end results becomes. If history is a guide though, the animated movie did a pretty horrible job of mimicking the "real world" transformations so anything over that would be an improvement in detail. On seibertron.com, some are speculating that the little figure there with Barricade is Frenzy. I have my doubts, however. What do you all think?
ReplyDeletei also doubt it, its already been said that he would be a radio/boombox... just becuz its a lil robot doesnt make it frenzy. I say its just a mindless dronebot, similar to BW scorponoks Cyber-bee

i mean, have you guys SEEN Op's gun for the movie? its pieces of the engine and transmission!

I read the script and he fits the description of Frenzy...plus Frenzy and this guy, Barricade spend a lot of time together in the movie and it would only make sense that the two will be packaged together. So if you want proof? Read the script and connect the dots. Script is so so and with Michael Bay directing expect to see The Island with Giant F-ing Robots....sad cause The Island F-ing sucked!!
ReplyDelete*sighs* another negative reaction before the movie is even released..will it ever end?...in case you haven't released back in the 80's transformers, some of the ideas thought of for the episodes weren't that great either...i only hope to god that when i go to see the movie i wont hear a bunch of loser pansy freaks in the background yelling "BOOO OPTIMUS DOESN'T HAVE FLAMES! WHY ISN'T SOUNDWAVE A STEREO?! BRING BACK THE 80'S TRANSFORMERS!"...cause if so i'll have a good reason to bring a gun. Oh well, i know i'll enjoy it..my brain is easily amused..Barricade looks f'n awesome! definatly my big favorite next to starscream!

Love the Transformers, love the designs but I miss G1 and with Michael Bay directing, this movie is going to suck. And being that it's going to be a sucky Michael Bay movie and it's December 7th. ReplyDeleteBut the movie isn't being made to promote the toys. The G1 cartoon was made to promote the toys, the story wasn't really all that important to them. The story is more important in the movie that's being worked on.
