Keith David Is the Voice of Barricade
IGN has confirmed that Keith David has been cast as the voice of the Decepticon Barricade, the Ford Mustang police cruiser. To some, he is familiar as the voice of Spawn and Goliath in Gargoyles. Others might recognize him from the Chronicles of Riddick. Either way, the man has got a voice he can't help but recognize when you hear it even if don't know the name it goes to. Excellent news to me, as I am a fan of the man.

Isn't he the dad from "Something About Mary"? "How'd you get the beans aover the frank?" Do you think Barricade will say that?

ReplyDeleteI'm happy with this guy. I don't really remember him too well, but I saw a movie with him a few months ago. Crappy movie, but I liked him.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot the Arbiter from Halo 2...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely as recognizable a voice as Cullen or any other voice actor. He'll be an excellent addition
ReplyDeleteHe's also the Captain or Sergeant guy on Crash, and Lester Wallace on BarberShop, "you can get a trim, then you can get some trim" Awesome, and also the voice for the Navy commercials. Love the voice
ReplyDeletei dunno, not sure about this. i know computer effects will be added to his voice n everythin, but i imagined barricade's voice been closest (of the movie characters) to the insecticon-style voice, can't see him with a deep-bassful voice. dunno why i think this, it may be barricade's face, he does look bug like. anyway, i thought t decepticons spoke in cybertronian tongue throughout t movie?! or is barricade t exception as he is in quite early when he interrogates spike (NOT sam)?! dunno where t'other decepticons will speak, can't see much scope for dialect.
ReplyDeletecant wait for the new trailer!!
If o recall the only decepticons to speak english are barricade, starscream and Megatron. The rest get subtitles.
