Two Transformers Trailers for TV Hit The Web

IGN managed to score the new TV trailer for Transformers that actually revs me up for the movie more then the previously released teasers. The 30 spot is more of a series of images of the characters that show humans scared and robots running amok. More importantly it shows the beginning of Optimus Prime transforming, nearly the entire transformation of Frenzy from a more or a less a boombox, and few more angles of Blackout transforming.

The second trailer, called "Destiny", comes via the Sector Seven website (password: FWIFFO). Click the red hard drive in the top left hand corner and get the full transformation of Starscream and hints at Bumblebee's. In addition the site updated with another surveillance shot from a sewer area. Hi-res version of both trailers can be found here.

Destiny:

Update: If interested in screenshots from the two trailers, go here for Hidden and here for Destiny. Thanks to Scott of Internapse for getting the shots and letting me know.

  2. It still looks pretty fake to me and the transformations are too much. Bay wasn't lying when he said that they had thousands of pieces transforming. I don't want to judge too much...but maybe it's worth waiting 10 more years?

  3. well, I kinda take part of that back. The 2nd trailer, with starscream and bubblebee looks pretty real enough. The other trailer looks fake, except for ultimus.

  6. Just saw the Bumblebee/Starscream clip. Anyone else notice how, in the car dealer's yard, movie Bumblebee pulls up next to a yellow VW bug? :-D

I wonder if that would be a not-so-subtle "F you" to VW for not letting them use one for BB in the first place. :)

  9. I am one of the "starscream is ugly as sin" followers.

But after seeing that second trailer, i dont even care anymore!

The amount of interaction with the environment that the transformers now have while transforming is just amazing.

It just reminds me of the original movie, where Prime comes barrelling down with The Touch as his background music, and performs a seamless transformation into a fighting mode, instead of going from vehicle, to robot, and then starts fighting.

I cant wait until this movie comes out!

  10. I like seeing Iron Hide dodging missles and firing back some of his own. Truely he is the most BA Autobot.

  11. Oh man...Victor Caroli is narrating the commercials! Sweet! I thought he was dead (since he hasn't done any work in, like, 20 years). Man...if they're going to have him doing any movie or other associated TF narration...I might just cry. That's awesome!

  12. i've just wet my pants! for my sanity's sake... i just hope it was a tiny bit o' wee!

    FCUK-IN-AWE-SOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when bumblebee stood up, he was huge!!! starscream just looks awesome! didnt see the ironhide bit, thought it was megatron who fell on his back, thought he was reachin for SPIKE (not sam!) frenzy looks kinda cool, still cant work out prime's transformation tho.

anyone know if these are gonne be the trailers t be released april/may time? will it be a combination of both?

this is gonna the MOST watched dvd... EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. one thing i've noticed but am not too happy about is that, so far, i know they only trailers so aren't trying to give anything away, but i'm having difficulty identified which transformers is who?! the amount of pieces which move when tranform dont make then recognisable in bot mode, i.e. we're used to ironhide having a bid red chest but now there's loads little black pieces, i'm sure they've gone for as much realism (as much as possible on a transformers film) i just think they've managed to over complicated things. still cannot wait tho!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone else think sideswipe was gonna be in this moveie havin seen the ILM early footge release?? also since then, the transformations are completely different. that ILM footage was true the old transformations, now i cant help but feel there's just too many parts movin about! not a hater... just too much of a lover i s'pose!

    still cannot wait tho.

That test footage looked awful. If they had gone that route, nobody would have taken the movie seriously.

  15. The only flaw that I (think) saw was when Starscream flips around the bridge. Didn't look natural to me. But that is hardly worth even mentioning.

My hopes are rising for this film. The transformations look smooth and real, and the action gives my eye a twitch.

My only worry is that the trailers are showing lots of the TF's when the movie still focuses primarily on the humans. They're kinda misrepresenting what it's going to be like I think.

  16. oh enuff crap about too many moving parts! some people will just whine for the sake of it.

    I sooooooooooooo cant wait now!!!!!

  17. oi dick!!!

i wasn't whinning! just passing comment!

  18. The leaked test footage was fake. It was fan made.

  19. the sound of bumblebee's engine when he and jazz roar past... whoa!! proper muscle car!! cannot get over the movement of starscream and his interaction with 'our world'. i feel like a kid on christmas eve... just a shame that christmas eve is gonna last 100 days!!! :-(

also only just noticed, july 4th is a wednesday not a friday, do they make exceptions for film releases in the US for july 4th?(yes yes i know it's independence day) i've probably answered my own question there tho haven't i.

be honest... did you ever think that a transformers cartoon would turn into an academy-award winning feature film?! i fail to see how this can do anything less with the quality of the CGI graphics used. no shit like LOTR to worry about winning undeservedly! these are REAL graphics!! just imagine the skill and patience of puttin each frame together (something daft like 37 hours per frame, 35 frames per second coupled with probably 90 mins... = almost 7 million frames!! jeez!)

    congrats production team!!

  20. You're whinning!! Want some cheese?

  21. This is fuckin' sick.

Screamer is going to be unstoppable.

  22. "you're whining! want some cheese?"

and you're a fan-boy yes-man. I hope everyone agrees with whatever you say--despite the fact you suck--so everyone can laugh at you behind your back, while you plod on like the deluded clue-less fool that your resentment to reasonable objection suggests you are.

    feh

  23. Wow you're clever with the whole "you suck" comment. Your mother must be proud of you wit.

  24. you really are a cock-end aren't ya?!!

  25. starscreams bot mode looks awesome, i'm most impressed with his shape/figure, etc... so far, somethin tells me bumblebee will be too lanky! also, why is jazz the smallest, bumblebee was always the smallest in t cartoons.

lookin forward to see haw fast they reckon an m1-abrams tank will shift, somethin tells me brawl wont be performing 80mph-transformations, all t others seem pretty capable, except from prime (or can those trucks shift at those kinda speeds?)

wonder why no ratchet, brawl or jazz footage released yet, or bonecrusher toy images (will he be replaced by 'wreckage' in the toy line?)

  26. "Oh man...Victor Caroli is narrating the commercials!"

    That's not Victor Caroli.

  27. BAD ASS!!! I'm in line already!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Movie of the year. PERIOD!

    ReplyDelete
  29. For starters stop bitching at eachother as if you were the same age you were watching the cartoons!!

It has been TWENTY YEARS since then. Too many moving parts my ass!! Think about it. From the designs there is very little left that resembles the vehicle they start out as. Do manage that you'll need a LOT of bits that flip over or slide in/out whatever.
That's how things work. It's made to entertain. I don't care how much some people read into the old cartoons but they were still just a kids tv show of giant robots fighting. This film is effectively the same thing. LET IT GO.

I have to say what I've seen so far is pretty impressive. That shot of Starscream was fucking brilliant!! This movie needs to look GOOD not real. What I mean is the robots certainly need to look real but if they moved exactly as they would for their size and weight it be pretty slow and downright fucking boring to watch.

But when you see a fighter jet fly under a bridge grab the bottom flip round and turn into a robot you think fuckin awesome. Let's face it if it was real it would likely have to land and then begin some long winded and slow transformation just to make sure it didn't fall on its ass as it tried to stand.

We've got four months people. Let the hate go and wait to see the fucking movie before dropping your pants and shitting all over it.

    Who's with me?

    ReplyDelete
  30. why are you so sure it's not Victor Caroli... sure sounds like it could be him

    ReplyDelete
  31. Wonder if theres some code hidden in this one like the others

  32. I'm all for shitting on this movie.

Only because it's going to be so good and fucking awesome I just might lose control of my bowels.

    ReplyDelete
  33. well that looked absolutely insane. i cnt wait. it actually makes sense with the chosen vehicles too... theyre all american, f22 raptor, abrams tank, pontiac...etc

cnt wait for this... tho would like to see some brawl footage :P
