The Metal Men are basically sentient, shape changing or transforming robots of a particular metal type. One is made up of lead, another mercury and so forth. Warner owns DC comics. Out of all the properties they have available to make movies from, they just happened to choose one that is the closest analogy to Transformers? That is too much of a coincidence for me to believe.
Movie not even out and a competitor is already acknowledging its probably success mostly sight unseen. I am betting the powers that be at Dreamworks are pleased.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery.
ReplyDeleteThe Metal Men comics are from the 1960s, though.
