Final Theatrical Trailer for Transformers Now Available

Yahoo! Movies now has the last theatrical trailer for Transformers online. There still might be more TV spots, but as for as the over 2 minutes trailers shown in theatres, this is probably it. With a little over a month and a half to go there really isn't a reason to create a third.

Click here for the trailer in various formats.

Update: Now embedded the trailers. Notice there are two. The YouTube is the trailer that premiered on Yahoo Movies!, the Google one is the same trailer, only as an additional humorous scene at the end between Spike and Optimus. Also click here to download the trailer.

Additional information is during the trailer, Bumblebee's radio provides the next Sector 7 password: CODEBLACK. Thanks to Maximus, TigerClaw and other reading for providing the additional information.

  8. i heard it! i heard it! i heard the original transformation sound!

    the lips/faceplate: forgiven
    jazz smaller then bumblebee: forgiven
    bumblebee as a camero: forgiven
starscream looking like he does: forgiven
megatron as a jet: forgiven (looks FUCKIN awesome!)

it makes me feel sad that i still have to wait so long to see this film!

i am going to two, if not three, consecutive screenings when it is released! it is gonna clog up my weekend; and deservedly so!

    poor little bumblebee; stupid sector7

the size of jazz compared to megatron is friteful... poor guy never stood a chance! (its jazz who gets stomped on top of the clock tower)

    megatron's transformation looks sweet too!

  9. Because they've uploaded the hd versions after the normal ones...in fact I'm rewatching it now in 720p, because the 1080p still doesn't work.

  12. New S7 code is: CODEBLACK

  13. OI! smart arse! i know the difference between megatron and starscream! ss is the EARTH jet that interacts amongst the streets (when he jumps in and transforms, the 2 bots he flies away past are bumblebee (he gets knocked flying) and ironhide... who just stands and watched @ 1:17 ). megatron is the CYBERTRONIAN JET that pummels jazz on the rooftop (his wings fold out whenhe jumps across) then lands on jazz on top of the clock tower... jazz kinda makes a dog's squeeky toy noise (2:09). really no hope of him gettin up from that. then we see megatron landing on ground level after coming down (2:15)...

watch it again then apologise moron!!

cos i'll be watching it all night!!!

  16. damned good spot on the new sector seven code!!! how the hell did ya see that?!

any ideas yet what the new content is over at sector7?

i wonder if powers or alex are actually gonna be in the movie...

all the transformations look sweet!!! not one complaint about any of them!

even in comet/protoform, they look awesome (ya can tell they aint comets but somethin else) and oh boy are they somethin else alrite!!!

i'll correct myself; the squeeky noise that comes when jazz gets stomped is the hydraulics gearin up on megatron cos you can hear them again when he lands on ground level (after transforming; 2:15)

the original G1 transformation sound can be heard when prime first transforms... @ 1:39... i'm not sure if the new sounds don't fit in better as u can hear more metal clinkin' about, etc... but that is NOT a complaint! just an observation... you will find absolutely NO complaints here whatsoever!!!!

    roll on july 27th!!!!

All of the sound FX you hear in this trailer were produced specifically for this trailer and really have nothing to do with the real sound FX we'll actually hear in the movie.

  21. "Scenes," I mean. Extra scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Extra scenes at the above URL include:

Blackout on the street in robot mode using his spinning chopper blades as a weapon.

A kid yelling for his mother as Bonecrusher destroys the bus -- makes the scene *way* more intense.

The scene of Optimus facing Sam and his girl that was shown in that leaked spot (no dialog, though).

Sam warning Optimus about his mother's temper.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ok.....speechless here.

1.) Notice Bonecrusher happens to be ROLLAR SKATEING down the highway??
2.) Blackout transforming in the street is BAD ASS!!!
3.) Starscream transforming from jet to robot, then poppin his engines to slow down in robot mode was friggin SWEET!!!
4.) So far the human element's makin this movie REALLY intense so far.
    I'M FRIGGIN LOVIN IT!!!!

Question? Why do we hear the "wah wah wah" when OP transforms but not the others? Seems like there is a lot of transforming going on, maybe it would get annoying after 2.5 hours?? Would still love to hear it in the actual movie though!!

    p.s. just picked up a G1 Slag for $5 ^_^

The sound FX we hear in the trailer have nothing to do with the sound FX from the actual movie. Everything you hear in the trailer was made for the trailer.

That said, Roberto Orci has already confirmed that the original transformation sound is being used.

  35. a nice touch i feel is at the end of the alternative trailer; where spike is talking to prime thru t window. just t way prime 'leans' on t wall makes me appreciate him all t more. dunno if they've done this t try n 'humanise' him more.

can't take my eyes of bonecrusher's hands when he goes for prime... they just look so weird, so... awesome! like they could cut all kinds o shit t pieces!

tis a shame ive got t retire for t evening now as i would love t stay up all night watching it; currently single at t moment so no lady-loving for me tonight!

  38. AWESOME TRAILER!

oh btw, if you go to 13-15 seconds, you can CLEARLY see a camera attached to the car (not the classic green car in the trailer) filming this scene. did they forget there was a mirror at the back?? well, nothing is perfect.

  44. I watched the trailer several times in slow mo and it is megatron tossing jazz like a rag doll. Look at the vid and pause it in the chamber at the dam then look at the roof top battle and pause it. You can see him better when he swings his mace at shia on the ledge.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Unbeliveably awesome, I just can't think of the words to describe it. My only complaint: can they please, please, for the love of Christ, leave out the part with Tyrese yelling "Bring it!"? That is the only part of any of the trailers I don't like.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Actually I REALLY liked that part of the trailer when Tyrese says "BRING IT!" haha That whole trailer climax with the fucking AWESOME "GRRRRAAWWWWRRR!!!" from Bonecrusher going at Optimus just makes me go AAAAUUUGGHHH tears of joy. JOYYYY!!!

Oh man...before I was just excited to see the movie. This site makes me excited for the DVD so I can watch the transformations frame-by-frame! And surely they'll have featurettes on the making-of so we can see behind the scenes so I'm going to need whatever 2-disc special edition they put out.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Listen closer when starscream transforms and flies off. The original transformation sound is there too! I also noticed that it doesnt make that sound until they are near the end of ther transformation...

This movie is gonna be awesome!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Didn't see too much that I had not seen before. Trailers often contain scenes not in the movie, so I take them all with a grain of salt. But it looks action-ish, and explosion-ish.

I noticed some small concessions in that the original transforming noise was in there, and Optimus' chest looked more original. I wonder if they made other changes?

I still think the robots lack color completely, as well as their side's Logo. As the standard barer for the Autobots you should be able to see their symbol on Optimus no matter what. I didn't really see it in the promo shots or the new preview. The same was true of Megatron.

Not that any of that takes away from this being a good movie, or the fact that robots look junkie. All the moving bits makes me think they were too in love with their own art work and couldn't stop from looking at it. Also Dan Simmons should sue over the new Megatron. Clearly it's a rip off of his Srike character, or it's just appears to be exactly the same sort of thing...somehow.

But the preview means little. The plot is what will help this movie pass the "blind test" where you listen, but do not look. Optimus and Megatron as brothers still seems about as goofy and misguided as can be, but who knows maybe it wont seem as stupid when you see the movie. For all we know the re-used G.I. Joe script held up really well.

What really makes me wonder is the idea that this is a movie about "A boy and his car." That does not sound good at all. But I'm betting that crap got washed away as they noticed it did not work. So I wouldn't worry too much.

I do think they could have worked harder on the special effects. The stuff with Gullum seem more smooth. But I'm betting this was not their finally edit. With this much money on the line I'm sure editing it done for a while, even past the deadline.

I know most wont agree, but the world is big enough for more than one opinion. And we're not childish enough to complain about what others like or think, or say. So here goes. Oh, and for the sensitive folks, none of what I say means the movie will not be good, or wont make all the money you'll be glad it made.

    But...
    1) The robots are ugly.
    2) The robots lack finish or color.
    3) Bumblebee does not speak. :(
    4) Optimus' would look better red.
    5) Optimus would look better as a Freightliner.
    6) Megatron and Optimus, brothers with no mother?
    7) No Ark? :(
    8) Frenzy looks like Nichole Richie! :)
    9) Too much on the human angle.
    10) They should not be here to destroy or save us. Just looking for energy.
    11) GM?
    12) No VW? :(
    13) Missing Autobot and Dicepticon symbools.
    14) Since when is Spike a man character?
    15) Too many elements form disaster flicks. Disaster flicks jumped the shark long ago.
    16) Cybertron?
    17) Jazz looks like the Martian from the Flintstones, only grey.
    18) Hugo Weaving. :(
    19) They all have glowing nipples for eyes.

You can assume I like everything else, and these complaints don't mean i wont like the movie.

Unrelated to the movie, the toys for the movie are in Toy R Us. Can't say they're any good. They look might be too detailed to make a good cheap toy. They just look lumpy. The "protoform" toy looks like a bronze tear drop or sperm. Have these been popular with anyone's kids out here. in any case, they had the Transformer toys next to the Transformer Movie toys and that might have been an error. Somehow the Transformer toys seem to see off the shelf and the Transformers Movie toys have not sold any, at least no in my town.

I'm guessing that until little kids see the movie they'll think the toys are just ugly. After might be a different case. If, even after seeing the movie, they don't sell it might mean trouble for Hasbro. I'm not sure what they stand to gain from the movie, but I was assuming it was toy sales. Maybe they get something from the ticket sales too, and they might not need the toys to preform.

Now, I'm going to convince a friend to log in and call me and hater and such, but he'll claim I did not. Look, he's about to post.

As always we'll all find out together.

  52. OMFG I REALLY LOVED THIS TRAILER! When I thought I was about to sleep when I was so beeped from my tiring day, I found new trailers to this and WOW I CAN'T STOP LOOPING IT even if my eyes hurts. HAHA.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Okay, 1st I gotta say, whomever wrote that long as blog statement with nothing but negatives is a bit confused. Kind of an fool if you ask me. I saw symbols on all of the bots except Megs (who ya never get a good look at). The bots and transformations look great. Sometimes a bit hard to see, but action stills do really do 'em justice. Optimus IS Red and Blue as always with a grey underparts, and has a very prominent Autobot emblem on his grill. Colorless? Bumblebee is loaded in yellow, and honestly a lot cooler lookin' than a POS V-Dub. I also never heard Prime & Megs were Bros, just co-rulers in ancient Cybertron. More so, even Freightliner trucks these days have a long-nose. Flat face trucks went away in the 80's. Also, I seem to remember Spike being a huge part of the old cartoon. I could contradict pretty much everything that moron said. Or he could just read a lot more of all the Blog Master's postings and understand his misconceptions better. I do agree with him that Frenzy does look like Nicole Richey though.

I don't expect this movie to be perfect. And I am prepared to see many differences from G1. But, Hey, it's not the 1st time Transformers have been changed. So I don't get why everyone is so pissy about the Movie not being just like G1. Everything I've seen so far looks better than anything I've ever seen of Transformers.

But what I really wanted to say is there is an Int'l version of the new trailer on Bay's Blog that shows a bit more of some the Deceps, including Blackout chopping some shit up with his blades. Definitely worth checking out.

Also, has anyone figured out the new stuff at Sector Seven, and can anyone tell me what Vector-Sigma.org will lead too. I know from the cartoon it's the computer that initiates the all-spark in transformers and make them sentient. But I'm not sure home that screen capture in the new S7 coincides with the movie.

PS: All you people that can't get over Bumblebee being a Camaro. Check out the "Rodents" drive at the new S7 site. The Unidentified possibly matching NBE 02 (Bumblebee). Hmmmnnnn.

  54. I have some of the old TF comic books, I religiously watched all of the old G1 TF cartoons back in the 80s, stayed up late every night drawing my fav TFs and even creating new ones out my head. I'd be a bit insane to admit that I freeze-framed and stepped through nearly every single frame of the TF-1986 movie after it came out on videotape. I don't have a great big TF collection, but I do religiously watch a lot of 1982-1998 Japanese anime and acknowledge some of the Korean companies that helped in the process of animation production. Anyway...

Despite my TF G1 bravado, I REALLY didn't like the unrealistic mass-shifting movements made when using old G1 CGI. It looks and feels very wrong and very campy. I cannot take it seriously at all. I love it as a TOY, I love it as a CARTOON, but not in a live-action movie. Take it from a huge mecha enthusiast and engineer, I really loved the way ILM designed the mechanical bone and skin movement to maintain a very balanced center of gravity and mostly stayed true to simple laws of physics. As a toy, I'm even more jazzed up that as a PUZZLE, it excites the mind and gets you revved up to figure out a new puzzle. Every transformer I had as a kid, no matter how intricate, I just tossed out the intructions and tried to transform them on my own. It was sooo exciting. I'd transform them endlessly back and forth to master the puzzles! So the new TFs will most definitely satisfy my urge for more puzzles to solve! Excellent!

Just like the TF-1986 Movie, I truly expect a very different interpretation of the TF G1 series. Just like Macross the Movie, Macross Plus, Initial D, Casshern, G-Savior Gundam, etc. One big thing to keep in mind, though, is to keep an OPEN MIND. The Autobots and Decepticons are aliens with very alien bodies and intricate mechanics; they never followed whatever human-based notions of physics we adhere to today. So as realistic as we want them to be, I think ILM made a great achievement in staying true to making sure TFs are strange and wonderful and yet they're gonna be BAD ASS!!! Sorry if this is long-winded, but those're just my thoughts. I got my vacation set for July 4th! Autobots, transform and roll out! WOOO!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Hey! If you watch the ending in slow-mo, where Prime's getting ready to fight, you can see his mask form up!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Dude that Freeze Framed the entire TF G1 Movie has got the right idea. He know what's up. A little neurotic, but right on point.

    ReplyDelete
  57. hahaha Thanks dude! Yah, I'm neurotic, sorryy~ I just wanted to say that I know that Bay (and yes, I do love ALL of his movies, especially Armegeddon) directed this piece, but MUCH of the kudos goes to ILM for the actual designs. I'm not quite sure you guys realize it, but much of the ILM staff are like me, diehard mecha enthusiasts and giant robot nerds. They LIVE and BREATHE on technical detail and articulation. I could rattle off hardcore anime titles like Gundam Sentinel, Zeta Gundam, Giant Robo, Evangelion, etc, and they would admit that'd be the source of inspiration. Take a good long look at Megatron and see a Zeta Gundam head or Dangaioh head, not this Bionicles look everyone is screaming about. The Japanese fans are eating this up. They live for this!

Also, remember first and foremost that the Japanese toys came before the show, and to those overseas fans, any American film is just a GOLD MINE. Take a look at your next Newtype magazine (the Japanese one, not the American) and tell me they aren't even MORE excited about TF than most American fans.

I think that once people realize the insane culture behind the staff and crew of this movie, they'll realize that this is not just another kiddy flick you can take for granted. Anyway, ciao for now! Sooo looking forward to this! Wooo!!!

  58. just a size perspective issue here;

if you pause the trailer at 00:54, we see bumblebee transformed with shia stood in front. we see a sillohette of shia in front of bumblebee... but he is only as tall as bumblebee's shins. now according to wikipedia bumblebee is supposed to be 5.1m (17 feet) tall... i reckon shia would be about 6ft tall so this doesn't weigh up right. how can someone who is 6ft tall be so short compared to something 17ft tall... according to my maths there shud only be an 11ft difference. either they've made bumblebee look bigger as its the FIRST transformation we see in the entire film and they've just done it once in the entire film for visual impact ... or wikipedia is wrong and all the sizes are completely different:

    wikipedia says:

    prime: 9.7m (32 feet)
    bumblebee: 5.1m (17 feet)
    ironhide: 7.9m (26 feet)
    ratchet: 7.3m (24 feet)
    jazz: 13 feet

    megatron: 10.3m (34 feet)
    starscream: 9.7m (32 feet)

wikipedia doesn't list the sizes of the other decepticons but from their alt modes i'm guessin they're all gonna be bigger than the autobots. barricade will be the same as bumblebee but i'm guessin blackout will be similar to starscream, and due to their nature of alt mode brawl and bonecrusher (defensive bulky vehicles) will also be huge. wouldn't surprise me if they are the same size as blackout also... doesnt leave the autobots with much chance in a fight does it!

please someone comment on this size issue as i'd rather not be the only one querying this. i thought the reason megatron wasn't a gun was because bay didnt want to be size-shifting as it would be too unrealistic. i would just like to know why they appear to have made such a size difference between one of the smaller transformers and the lead human.

    i was just wondering...

    ReplyDelete
  59. also just noticed that on the alternative/international trailer, when we see blackout using his rotating blades as a weapon (in hand), we see two transformers going at it in the distance i can't quite make out who they both are but from stance/shape alone, i thnik one of them is megatron.

if anyone has been able to see this and can identify them, please do. it occurs approximately two thirds of the way thru the trailer (after josh duhammel shouts something)

    ReplyDelete
  60. i've worked out who they are...

    IT'S PRIME N' MEGATRON, IT'S PRIME N' MEGATRON!!

    and the battle/action/interraction looks AWESOME!!

i just keep gettin more and more excited bout this movie!!!!!!

bay says we aint seen nothing yet from the movie... what the hell else is there that they can possibly create?!

i can't imagin what else can top anything we've already seen!!!

anything else on top of these TWO minutes is going to be a sheer bonus... a one-hundred and eighteen minute bonus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone know where all the previous HD trailers/tv spots can be downloaded?? please

    ReplyDelete
  61. Knowing Bay and all of his movies and comparing an entire feature length of one of his films to just a trailer, I KNOW I'm in for one helluva ride. Any other action thriller usually highlights one climactic scene and it kinda ruins everything. Bay usually has SO MUCH stuff going on, there's no way even a trailer can get everything down. In the Wiki somehwere, Spielberg also recommended that the trailers keep very tight-lipped about what the movie holds. It's a good strategy to only tease the audience and then BAM! surprise them with a volley of visual effects when they finally reach the theaters. The strategy has held up to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., Indiana Jones, and Star Wars.

  62. OMG!!!! That made tears in my eyes!!!! Best movie ever!!!!

  63. "we see a sillohette of shia in front of bumblebee... but he is only as tall as bumblebee's shins."
It looks to me that he's not standing...maybe got knocked down and was starting to get up when he saw it happening and he just froze.

    ReplyDelete
  64. on the shia/bumblebee size issue it is possible that shia had been knocked over but having watched it again, carefully... ou can see that bumblebee is in fact stood higher up than shia, the ledge bumblebee stands on is at about shia's stomach/chest height so regardless of him being knocked over or not bumblebee was always going to seem that bit taller than him.

i also noticed when watching it again that when bumblbee is transforming, if you look at the part when he slams his fist down (after coming out from under the hood) you can see shia and megan sat on the floor behind BB's fist. this suggests to me that the two of them were in fact sat in the car when he started to transform and because of this (or whenever anyone is sat as a passenger), BB actually transforms 'around them', i.e. his parts know they are there so his transformation does notinvolve the 'cabin' to twist and contort... prevents puny ppl gettin squished. doubt the decepticons would be so considerate!

just thought i'd say so as now no longer wondering why bumblebee seemed so big. however, still wondering why bumblebee aint the smallest autobot as he is the one who relates to humans most.

on the alternative/international trailer, has anyone noticed prime ducking out of view of shia's dad at the house? we see sparkplug looking round with a torch and a window in the background. prime's head appears there but just as spparkplug's about to look up prime darts out of view and backs up against the house wall... making the whole house shake as a result... where we see sparkplug stumble and almost fall over and the power goes out as a result.

bay, ilm and co really have taken care of all the smallest possible issues/details and paid such great sttention to detail, like the autobots transforming 'around' passenger humans.

got all the trailers and tv spots downloaded now... pretty much got them playing on loop!!!!

  65. Seeing BB transform around Shia and Megan was definitely cool. Yeah, the only concern I have right now is that size comparison issue with what looks like a silhuoette of Shia in the foreground and BB in the back, as the camera start panning up. It looks odd, but maybe we're missing something, maybe a deliberately scene out of sequence (as trailers go) that actually shows Shia sitting on ground looking up and BB is on a platform or ledge? It's kind of hard to tell. I'd have to go through the frames again. FUN!

  66. OK, got it. BB is on a platform ledge and Shia is on a lower part. The platform goes up to Shia waist. Here's the shot: http://picasaweb.google.com/animesuki.mangatron/TransformersTrailerSs05172007/photo#5065619687528047378

  67. ok i got it wrong. its not the international version where prime hides, its the trailer shown with shrek. i think its things like this that just give us more to relate to.

i understand and fully appreciate they dont want us to see all the glory just yet but why are they ratchet and brawl from us? out of all the trailers and tv spots released to date, the only bit of either ratchet or brawl we've seen thus far is where ratchet drives past bumblebee when reversing in front of prime transforming (where we first saw the back of primes head... where all t cogs turn etc...). i think this was in the first trailer (not teaser!) we saw.

but we've not seen a dicky bird of either of themn since. its cant be as if they're saving the best til last as i doubt an ambulance or tank will play such an integral role/part as either of the two leaders do. to be honest, i'm rather surprised we've seen "this much" of megatron so far... thought they'd o kept the big guy COMPLETLY under wraps til we saw the film ourselves upon release.

still image wise, all i've seen of ratchet is the first design released (the sketch where it looked like he had a birds head) and the wallpaper from the lunchables posted on this site a few weeks back. not a dicky bird of brawl tho... no sketched design or cgi render... only seen toy images of brawl and at the age of 21 i aint really into the toy thing anymore... not for a good 12 years!

  70. It still hasn't gotten old. I took my 6 year old to see Shrek, it's pretty bad when the dad's my age are sitting there just goin "whoa, that's cool"....LOL. Worse yet, sent my mom and dad the trailor and my MOM of all people writes me back sayin how Optimus Prime looked pretty kewl. That's bad when she remembers back in the day when I had the toys....for her to remembers names is sayin somethin!!!

  71. HEY FOR YOU ALL!
I saw the movie and it's f..... awesome!

    But..
1)Bumblebee loses his legs when trying to protect Sam beside Ironhide with a truck and he gets shot by Starscream.. SO BAD.. :(

2)Jazz gets fcuked by Megatron (I yall know what I mean)

And for ALL of you too:
1)Bumblebee does speak, but when the Autobots arrive all toghether (OP, Jazz, BB., Ratchet, Ironhide, etc..), Ratchet says 'His voice has been damaged after his combat with Barricade, I'm trying to repair it....'

But generally, the movie is awesome, you're goin' to love it.
Sorry for my english, I'm from Venezuela.
