Transformers 2 cameras and crew have been all over (Fairmount Park, University of Pennsylvania) and today are due inside Eastern State Penitentiary, while Rittenhouse Square will double as Paris later this week. Saturday is the scheduled Philly wrap; next stop: Princeton.Based on the info from the other day, that indicates the shoot at Rittenhouse Square will occur on June 19th, this Thursday.

Update: It appears that the shoot at Eastern State Penitentiary will be on Friday, assuming that is why a location that is normally open "every day, twelve months a year" except holidays is suddenly announcing "Please Note: Eastern State Penitentiary will be closed to the public on Friday, June 20th." Now I don't know if that means shooting will also occur in a more limiting capacity between now and then but considering that apparently TF2 production is shutting down the whole site, which indicates that the location has a larger part in the movie then previously suspected. Thanks to Jim for the heads-up.
It says next stop Princeton I thought they were filming on the Brooklyn Bridge before that?
ReplyDeleteWell there base right now is philadelphia, they might be shooting some scenes on the brooklyn bridge but probably only for a day. Then they are setting up a new base camp in princeton since there will be a lot of filming in that area

ReplyDeleteyea i told BP and i saw there...i saw them moving scrubbery into the prison....we are going tommorrow and we are taking a tour of the prison so we can see the inside and what they are doing because i am guessing they will still be there tommorrow
ReplyDeleteEastern State Penn is AMAZING! It's massive and I highly recommend anyone visiting Philly to take a tour. I'm also hoping that they have a bunch of shots inside the cells. Oh and it's also haunted. (Sorry if this post is random.)

ReplyDeleteI spotted bubmble bee at the richmond power plant on my way into work. All the other car trailers are there. So they are still doing a lot of filming aroudn the power plant

ReplyDelete^ shia was/is there. he walked in with bay and the crew is outside. that's all i know.
ReplyDeleteI work there and Sunday they were breaking down and getting ready to move sites. They were out of there sometime after noon. Shia LaBeouf was still there Sunday and toured the site. He left around the same time the work crew left. They were using Cell Block 7 and it was closed off through Monday evening.
