Transformers Influence in Knight Rider?
AICN posted a promo video of the new Knight Rider series that was show at the San Diego Comic-Com panel. A little less then a minute into the promo Kitt does a Transformer like transformation from a truck to car, with mechanical folds and the like. No robot mode but it’s nice to see the Transformers influence spread. The promo suggests a more kinetic series then the TV movie. I was going to check it out just because Deanna Russo is hot but the series might actually be entertaining too.

Well, it seems that Universal finally understood how to make the serie in the right way. The CGI for Kitt which resembles the Transformers one by ILM seems pretty cool for a Tv serie.
ReplyDeleteIf the storyline, pace and characters development are going to be good enough then the serie might be a huge success this time.
The Tv movie/pilot they released a few months ago was pretty depressing and disappointing, it didn't make much sense. From this new trailer it seems that they fixed their mistakes, let's see what they can deliver.

I'm still not too happy with the changing of Car Make, but this trailer looks really promising. The transformation definitely had Transformers influence :)

well for those of us who remember the "old school" K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two-Thousand), he was the epitome of high tech... the character was supposed to be the most advanced vehicle in existence... might want to put brain in gear before mouth every now and then, moron.
ReplyDeleteas far as them changing the make of the car, yeah I too was disappointed... but at the time of shooting the other 2 of the Big Three didn't have anything in the class that even came close to the old T/A so the 'Stang won out by default
The pilot was pretty decent to me. I can't wait!

Why can they just bring back Las Vegas? It had pretty more quotes then Knight Rider. I don't understand NBC, sry...
