Transformers: The Revenge of the Fallen Movie Prequel: Destiny: Alliance #1The comics might give a few hints about the upcoming movie but I am betting it has been designed to remain spoiler free. For example, Sector 7 plays a part in the comic but its always possible that by series end its permanently disbanded resulting in Simmons ending up working at a pizza joint. Arcee is on the cover but in her first movie design that went unused. Chances are in the movie she will re-format to a new look. Of note to me is the gray character that has a very G1 Megatron aesthetic going for it. I wonder who that character is and what part he plays in the story (and maybe the movie).

The official prequel to next summer’s “TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN” film kicks off here! “TRANSFORMERS: DESTINY” is comprised of two four-part stories covering events leading up to the film. In the first chapter of the DESTINY story arc, ”ALLIANCE,” readers will learn more about what happened to SECTOR SEVEN, what happened to the AUTOBOTS, and why their war on our planet is far from over.
Other releases for the month include Maximum Dinobots #1, Transformers Animated #5, All Hail Megatron #6, and few others. Thanks to Darian and Tommy for the links.
the grey character is wreckage. was made into a toy , but wasnt in the movie or comics before.
ReplyDeletehe was also planned to be in TF movie Part 1. as Stryker.
Ahh, the first comment!
ReplyDeleteWell the first picture is a little vauge, but we do see Arcee in there. The second picture looks sweet, but it looks like the robot is a Decepticon(red eyes),and working with the military group. Is that robot made from military vehicles? is it supposed to be good/bad?
i see arcee....:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a second in the comics didnt weckage die,So how can he be back.(Although that like saying Megatron wont come back as Galvatron,i feel stupid).
ReplyDeleteThese comic images don't necessarily mean anything about the movie. Bay please release just ONE good new robot picture, pleeeease! (Transformer movie withdrawals)
ReplyDeleteHe didn't die he is toy only...
ReplyDelete(Wrekage) Forgot to put his name in... Muh bad...
ReplyDeleteWreckage seemingly died in the second Target-promo prequel comic, but Reign of Starscream established that he didn't "really" die and got apprehended by Sector Seven.
ReplyDeleteWreckage was 'killed' in the first movie comic prequel when the Decepticons first landed in Afghan and took on their military alt. modes from the nearby artilery equipment. A bomb/mine-proof personnel carrier took army-men to the site of the Decepticons' landing, they humans were done away with and Wreckage got first dibs. However, when he and the other 'Cons approached the army base the humans retaliated and Wreckage was destroyed... or so we were led to believe.
ReplyDeleteIf this is the storyline they choose to go with then I think it's a great idea. His revenge could be against the Autobots... just for the sake of it, or be against the Decepticons and Starscream for leaving him behind in Afghan after he was shot down.
He does look more like G1-Megatron than movie-Megatron does so could be a loyal sidekick who would do anything to deliver Starscream back to Megatron for a good ol' ass-whoopin!
The only thing that smacks of obvious-ness is... the fact he's on the cover! Surely Bay wouldn't let such a closely guarded secret away so easily. Considering how easy it was to get hold of info re: TF1 and how much effort they've gone to to protect any info re: TF2 and what a good job they've done so far... I really do doubt they'd let the cat out the bag now and so easily.
Thinking about it, Wreckage must play a part in this movie as he is already on Earth don't forget and is undetected by any (surviving) humans. Any more Decepticons coming to Earth would be detected upon landing/arrival (now human's will be expecting them) but he's already here and under the radar therefore could be the most covert Decepticon (or Autobot if a spy, i.e. Counterpunch) of all.
Also of note is the illustrator of the cover... Josh Nizzi. He was responsible for the Long Haul concept and if you look on his website, he acknowledges himself as a live-action video-game and MOVIE designer. This is 2 of his designs that have come up re the second movie and the 3D model of Long Haul (exact match to the colour model) still seems, to me, to be too much trouble to go to just for the fun of it.
Can't wait to see any of this on the big-screen!
Us in the UK havn't got RoS yet...just pre-ordered it so I didn't know Wreckage was apprehended by S7. I've read the prequel comics and knew he was shot-down the humans so it'll be interesting to read how/why he's working alongside S7, if at all.
ReplyDeleteAnyone know where there's any online scans of RoS that you can read?
He has a hidden weapon kinda like Prime. His hands retract and are replace with sword-like blades that he can use in a Samurai-way. Kinda like him in the first Hell Boy.
im sure wreckage isn't in the movie for 2 reasons:
ReplyDelete1.hasbro already milked this mold for all it's worth,so i doubt they will again
2.theres a huge pic of him on there.bay wouldnt spoil a character from the movie this easily
I'm very much keeping an open mind about this but two things strike me as odd;
ReplyDelete1) Yes, why WOULD Bay blow a massive secret like this after all the covert-ness
But...
2) Why would such a remote character from the first movie (including tie-ins) all of a sudden be receiving such a massive push now if he weren't to be in the movie, this suggests he WILL be in the movie, whereas my first point suggests he won't
I'm all confused now, dang!
What if the 'Fallen' refers to a number of TFs, rather than just one??
ReplyDeleteThis could refer to characters such as Wreckage, Bonecrusher, and Blackout coming back and taking on new forms and seeking ultimate vengeance!
Oh yeah, and Megatron!

"This could refer to characters such as Wreckage, Bonecrusher, and Blackout coming back and taking on new forms and seeking ultimate vengeance!"
ReplyDeleteYeah....don't really care to see a movie about 1 unknown decepticon and 2 others that had no major value in the first movie come back and take revenge.
I also don't understand everyone's obsession with bringing back dead characters. Let's move on and enjoy some new ones.
So don't you care about the first film then?? There were only Starscream and Megatron barely recognisable...and you can guarantee the 2nd installment will have new unknown characters, both Bots and Cons. I'd be extremely surprised if we don't get intoduced to an all new Autobot entirely.
ReplyDeleteAlso, just noticed something else. On the artwork of Prime, Arcee and Wreckage, look above Wreckage's head. Aren't they Hot Rod's bonnet flames, his insignia? Could that be a hidden clue? It looks odd just having those flames there alone so I'll be surprised if they don't carry any hidden meaning.
correct me if i am wrong , but isn't the same transformer(wreckage) on both covers ?
ReplyDelete^^^I think those are eyes...., oh and it looks like at least 6 new Tfs are arriving to Earth in the bottom of the 1st cover.
ReplyDeletecould wreckage be the autobot spy?
ReplyDeleteIn Reign of Starscream #4 Starscream is looking at the memories of Frenzy and sees that Wreckage had been working with Sector 7 giving them info on Transformers.
ReplyDeleteStarscream calls him a traitor when he sees this.
That is indeed Wreckage in the first pic.
And Wreckage being in the 2nd pic standing behind human troops falls in line with ROS #4
I think I have it! Surprised that no one has noticed that Wreckage is breaking through a glass Decepticon symbol?? It could be that the revenge is Wreckage's. He could be totally pissed off at Starscream and the Decepticons for leaving him for dead. It is also obviously Wreckage in the second pic, he is Red/White/Grey. Thats my theory.
ReplyDeleteSide Note: Anyone see the face in his torso in the second pic, weird huh?
I think we'll have to wait to know thw truth... still 3 months...
ReplyDeleteBut Wreckage's chest cannon seem just like Meagtron's head...
woahh! wreckage IS breaking through a glass decepticon logo! and since he has red eyes, he must be with them. and now he's with the autobots seeking revenge.. damn. thats it. we have it all figured out. its so damn clear!!
ReplyDeleteC'mon..ur joking right? This must be one of those false leaks or false info......Wrekage can't be the one we'r all refering as the Fallen....he just can't....it would be such a dull plot line....
ReplyDeleteBy the way...as any1 ever though of Wrekage actually being Megatron?.....Just ear me out.....if megatron's comin back he'll need a human vehicle to disguise him........The art guys didn't want to go to all the trouble of designing a new caracter, so they used an old one......Wrekage
Just loook at his face...dosen't that remind u of this:
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h288/ngee_khiong/megatron-face.jpg
*just imagine him with red eyes from the movie
OHHHHHhhhh...major news guys.......look at wrekage for a moment....can any1 tell me wuts wrong with this pics? Both of them are wrong...mainly the second one......
ReplyDeleteOk..those anyone remenber wrekage/striker's concept art? He had 4 wheels on his harms and strange legs....he was also ment to be green/grey insted of red/white....only the toy version is white/red. HEre check this out:
http://images.wikia.com/transformers/images/3/3f/Movie_Wreckage_Stykerconcept1.jpg
http://www.supervideo.com/STRYKERwASPROIIb.jpg
This could only mean that the second pic his false.....and the first one a false info or misleading info..... no one knows..
Adamolas, realy, just shut up... So what, that the concept art was different? In a few comic books he was white, and toy acurate, so why the **** he would be green here and look different? It's official comic book cover, shown to us by IDW publishing... Realy, go find a life...
ReplyDeleteAnd it's sequel of "RoS" where we saw, that he lives and was captured by Sector 7... So, there is nothing wrong with him, showing in "Destiny"...
ReplyDeleteAll they're doing is continuing the plot thread laid by "Reign of Starscream", whereby Wreckage is working with S7 (evidently sharing Cybertronian tech and secrets). And we know S7 was working on transforming drones of some sort going off RoS as well.
ReplyDeleteGiven this is a sequel to RoS and a prequel to Revenge of the Fallen, that's the most plausible approach.
I think they might just include wrekage in the comic, but not in the movie....maybe he will die of in the comic...It could just be that the comic sets up a side story, and doesn't really set up/divulge any information on the movie untill the end of the story...
ReplyDelete-just a theory.....
I do agree this is quite an interesting development, since i follow the comics, but i do agree wif the above comment. it's still possible, but then again, he was an interesting concept. i hope they do put him in the movie :)
