Now I know that Arcee is one or all three of the robots seen during the commercial. Her character, for the movie, remains mostly undefined. All we know is she is in the movie, she has a robot form and that form may or may not be three components. As Master Fwiffo points out, Arcee could be one of three robots, could be the combined name of the three robots (like Devastator is the name of the combined Constructicons), or she is a consciousness spread over three bodies. I am partial to a combo of the last two, which is Arcee is a combiner with a consciousness copied across three separate forms. Thanks to Lady Owl for the link.
I'm wondering if these will be in scale to the Human Alliance figures. Would be nice.

ReplyDeleteIn the Reign of Starscream comics, Arcee resembled more of her concept image; the pink, feminine figure with two arms and legs like most of the robots. I remember in one of the youtube clips I saw off this website that she is probably going to be a combiner among three bikes, but I do not remember the colors of the bikes. Are they all going to be one color, or different colors?

ReplyDeleteWhy would 1 bike be too small? Why does everyone think that ALL the bots have to be GIANT or taller than a human? Frenzy was small and no one complained.....
But I agree that they will most likely combine because why else would you have three of the same style bikes/bots running together unless they combine or attack like a pack of wolves?

ReplyDeleteThis kind of logic is like saying Devastator is going to have 6-7 heads since that's about how many cons it's rumored to have to combine (if they have heads). The heads will most likely be HIDDEN like the toy gestalts (or most of them).
I'm really loving this design. I know it's different but I like it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the trailer, the silhouettes looked like their "legs" might be together like this, so seeing the toy like this is really cool.
My boyfriend however is not very fond of this design but as Anonymous (@4:38PM) mentioned, he did think one of them could be Blurr. Maybe even Chromia. The blue one looks very male to me. He even looks like he might have a mustache.
But anyway, I don't really like the idea of them ALL being Arcee. It would be nice if they each had their own robot/alt modes and their own personalities.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree Arcee the red/pink bike, Elita one the purple/white bike and i believe your thinking of Moonracer to be the blue/black bike. This is very possible after all there are 3 bikes Arcee is was pink not blue so this one can't be her. Maybe there fembot combiners to be somewhat equivalent to devastator minus the size.
Maybe they don't combine. That was always speculation anyway. Perhaps there are 3 distinct bots and 2 of the 3 die early on leaving only Arcee to mourn over the loss of her companions.

I like this thread. Here's all the female bots I know:

Elita One (Prime's ex, and would make for interesting story)
Chromia
Firestar
Moonracer
Nightbird (not a transformer, but very big surprise if happens)
I think the ones with the best shot at this are Elita One's squadron. Firestar (red bike), Moonracer (blue bike), and Chromia (purple bike) will work well since they are a trio to begin with.

I think it would be better for the separate robots have there own conciseness any thing more then that and it gets more confusing. I'm sure Arcee is just one of the three and they might combine to from a larger robot, if they combine at all.
ReplyDeleteI hate the thought that it could be the 3 bikes joining to form Arcee. Now, Arcee and the other 2 bikes joining to form a Cycletron (hehe "Cycletron") I could go with more IF (and I state IF) I had to. I prefer that they are seperate Autobots.
ReplyDeleteSomeone mentioned "attack like a pack of wolves"... Why not, I quite often see bikes passing me on the highway and 90% of the time they are in groups. Bikers ride in packs so why not these 3 bikes?
Unless females on cybertron have mustaches this is not a female bike/bot.

Me again "I hate the thought..." after I clicked the Post Button I thought about someone above saying the blue bike was Blurr and then remembered what he looked like. Now I am the first to say that I don't think Bay is holding true to what the G1 Transformers looked like but the second picture (head shot) of the blue bike does now remind me of Blurr.

Plus, Blurr was fast, what is faster than legs? A motorized wheel. This could explain it having a wheel in stead of legs. I have seen a Pink Bike in bot mode that had legs, so they wouldn't all be transforming and looking a like anyways.

just don't understand the fetishes with "wheels for heels" designs on the robots put up by bay and co, man.. even though it looks kinda cool in some way, but why can't he keep in on the minimum.. now we have this blue bike, which i'm not goin to call "arcee-bike" (lame, perhaps it's blurr as rumoured), sideswipe and scavenger with tyres for feet.

Looks weird and stupid nothing like "the" Arcee, female transformer. I mean c'mon, wheels and no legs? Instead of making up a fresh and new character, this is ruining the name Arcee with that appearance.
