Ravage In Packaging, Bio

Well the mystery of Ravage is finally solved thanks to packaging pics from TF08.net of the deluxe class toy. As it turns out Wal-Mart is correct, he has a "re-entry" alt mode. I get the impression that Hasbro threw up their hands at trying to come up with a decent alt mode considering the animal design they had to start with. Thanks to Phil and Dinoraw for the link. Side note, the "installation" from the bio is probably whatever place is housing the AllSpark fragment.

Deluxe Ravage Bio
Bulleting down through the atmosphere at better than 15 times the speed of sound, Ravage considers the data he has already amassed on the small, soft creatures that inhabit this planet. They seem weak and fragile, yet they are the ones that destroyed Megatron. That is a fact he will keep in mind as he penetrates their most sensitive installation, again such an unpredictable enemy, stealth will be his watchword.

  1. soo being that they refer to ravege as a he i seriously doubt he has any affiliatiion with alice

  2. first! knew it was reentry mode. Soundwave was described as having a 'ravage missile' some time ago...

  3. damn, second then....pretender shell could just be gender neutral...doesn't have to actually be a girl inside

    Ya think?

  5. Definitly sounds like Ravage is Alice to me the more I hear.'again such an unpredictable enemy, stealth will be his watchword.'
That part really hit me as him being Alice I mean that would be considered being a spy. It just fits well.

    But I shall reserve judgment.

Sweet toy though I'll be buying him when he comes out. I've already got Soundwave on the way. He'll probably look even more stellar in the movie though judging by what we've already seen in the trailer.

  6. I think this confirms that Ravage IS the pretender w/my words in []

I think the "sensitive installation" is the NEST base where the Allspark fragment is located.

  8. Little off topic but i looked through the trailer and noticed another touch of Bay's

The custom bike shop mikalea is seen working at in the trailer is titled "Mike's" figured Bay had a little something to do with this, picture here

  11. Ravage is not Alice. His role will be to infiltrate the navy base at Diego Garcia, a small island in the Indian ocean, where one of the Allspark shards are being kept. I guess the decepticons need this object in order to revive Megatron. So that is why you see him arriving at a beach from the ocean in the trailer.

  13. C'mon guys Ravage is not going to be a pretender. Ravage is too big to be a pretender. The writers are not going to make a big deal on saying they will not have the transformers moph in size and then have a one who is twice the size of a normal panther to pull of being a pretender of a human.

That pic of ravage jumping over the tall fence is proof of concept on his size.

  18. MY FELLOW TRANSFORMER FREAKS:

I live near Philadelphia and a few of the FM stations have been playing a Coors Light commercial/ad on the air and I swear it is Optimus/Peter Cullen's voice. It doesn't say anything about the movie, but to hear Optimus Prime talking about cold, refreshing beer is so funny and cool. Has anyone else heard this?

  26. I've been looking through post about ravage and I can't believe how the "Ravage is Alice" theory got started. First the mention of a pretender was brought up during a discussion about ravage in an interview but no statement was ever made that they were one in the same
    http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2009/01/orci-confirms-rumors.html

There was also the "Alice is a pretender?" Post
    http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/10/alice-is-pretender.html
Every single person immediately wanted to call the pretender as Ravage because of the line "the inner robot is best described as a hybrid of the Frenzy robot design from the first movie". Frenzy and ravage were part of Soundwave originally so people wanted to assume it was ravage. But they ignore the next part that clashes with that theory. "...The Pretender Transformer will have an arm that transforms into an energy weapon, a long tongue, and a scanning tentacle" That does not match Ravage at all and we've seen video, pictures, and Concept art.

I have no problem with the idea of a pretender in the movie (Heck, the decepticons had holograms of drivers)and if bots can be the size of bugs or toys (Wheelie),then they can be human sized too. But again I point out this pic for you
    http://images.allmoviephoto.com/2009_Transformers:_Revenge_of_the_Fallen/2009_transformers_revenge_of_the_fallen_003.jpg
Ravage is at least 10 feet stretch out there when compared to the fence which it to levels. The writers did not have morphing in the first movie (not counting the cube) and they will not change that for the second one. Wake up, people. There is no way Ravage is going to be a pretender.

    ReplyDelete
  27. why couldn't ravage eject a smaller part of himself to become the pretender?

point is, if the film wanted ravage to be the pretender, he could be.
with a 1000 different ways to make it plausible within their transformer world.

you rambled on and on about something that has no bearing in reality.

  28. So which base is he going to go to and why?

    NEST? SECTOR 7?

  29. 4 words for the "Ravage is not Alice" camp

    1 FRENZY
    2 WAS
    3 A
    4 BOOMBOX

The pretender & Ravage are the same. The whole first movie was filled with mass-shifting & incorrect scale.

    ReplyDelete
  33. How the fuck can the doctor be Alice, look how small he is. Its probably gonna be that frenzy looking thing, because out of ravage him and the doctor hes the only one that is roughly the right size and the only one who we dont know thier purpose.

    ReplyDelete
  34. It might (0.1%chance) it will be ravage but definatly not the doctor

  39. Your welcome.

Diego Garcia is an island in the Indian Ocean... if you look at the map it's south of India.

A military airbase for both the US & UK.

This is where the B-1, B-2 & other classified bombers/fighters are stationed.

  40. You know what, someone should make up a check list of all the ideas everyone has had and once the the movie comes out we can either check it off or cross it out. See how many ideas we got right and wrong.

Alice is Ravage. What? My argument is as goiod as yours.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah, Diego Garcia is in the Indian ocean. In real life it is owned by the British, who rent it to the US. The States wanted a base in the Indian ocean, so they came to an agreement with Britian to use it in like the 60s or 70s. What's crazy to note is that the States wanted an island that was unpopulated base they were going to housing top secret things there. Diego Garcia had it's own native population at the time, like 5,000 people. So the British government went about evicting all those people from there home. They booted them off the island that they and their families lived for generations. My dad was in the Navy for 35 years and he just told me that.

he jumped out of the water and then jumped the fence, but explain why it looks like his tail or maybe back legs look like their being blown off. Most island bases have high security like landminds on the beach....

    ReplyDelete
  56. I agree with ravage getting injured by landmines. Bay has a history of surrounding military bases with landmines. Anyone remember the end of bad boys II when they were in cuba?

    ReplyDelete

if he was being blown apart you would think he would have some kind of reaction from it, seems to be minding his own business here jumping over a fence.
