More of Transformers 2 Voice Cast

Thanks to Carnivac (and also supported by TFW2005 thread), much of the voice cast for the various Transformers has been verified. Many of the robots in the movie don't have lines and it turns out some of the information we had was incorrect (not really surprised considering how little attention the voice cast gets).

I wish Paramount would release the credit list (like they did for Star Trek) so have something definitive to link to to clear up any probable confusion on who did what in the movie.

Likely voice cast: (but some not officially confirmed) (clicking their names brings you to their IMDB.com profile)
Arcee - Grey DeLisle (not Susan Blu)
The Fallen - Tony Todd
Jetfire - Mark Ryan (not John Turturro)
Mudflap - Reno Wilson
Skids & Wheelie - Tom Kenny
Soundwave & Devastator - Frank Welker
Sideswipe - Andre Sogliuzzo (not Jason Griffith)
The Doctor (Scalpel) - John DiCrosta
an ancient Prime - Kevin Michael Richardson
Demolisher - remains unknown

Its worth hitting up the profiles for these actors because of the long careers many of these actors have had. Even if you don't know the name, chances are you will recognize the face or their work. As far as Transformers connections, Kevin Michael Richardson voiced Omega Supreme in Transformers: Animated, Reno Wilson voiced Frenzy in the first movie; Mark Ryan also voices Bumblebee in the movies and Ironhide in the video game. Tom Kenny (other than being SpongeBob SquarePants) also voice Isaac Sumdac, Starscream, various Seekers, Scrapper and more for Transformers: Animated. Of course Frank Welker (G1's Megatron, Soundwave, Galavatron, Rumble and more) doesn't really need an introduction to Transfans but his storied career is massive and covers work you would have never had thought had anything to do with him.

  1. Please,
Someone from Hasbro, Dreamworks or Paramount.
Please reveal the name of the third bike. I beg of you! (I guess/hope it is Elite One)

  2. You missed out a Hyperlink to Frank Welker`s IMDB profile.

The annoying thing is we only see Soundwave in his satellite mode although he has the awesome voice and look and when we see Devastator he has only one line :(

  3. WHAT I’M GLAD ABOUT:
-Peter Cullen, Robert Foxworth, Jess Harnell, Hugo Weaving and Charles Adler reprising their roles from the first film.
-Returning Transformers-related voice actors (Frank Welker, Tom Kenny). Now, if only Bay could’ve included Scott McNeil (Jolt?), Corey Burton (some of the Constructicons?).

    What I DON’T CARE FOR/WHAT I’M CONFUSED ABOUT:
-Bumblebee doesn’t speak: (He manages to mutter “Sam” in the Showest Montage, and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t say something else in the film too)
-Jolt not speaking: Give him at least ONE line! Have him say something classic and Transformers-like! I think that Scott McNeil or Corey Burton wouldn’t have minded coming in and recording some lines.
-So is Mike Patton voicing Demolishor?

THINGS I WOULD’VE LIKE TO HAVE SEEN:
-I would’ve like it if Frank Welker had done some more voices. If Soundwave is going to be downplayed in the film, at least let us hear Welker’s voice in other characters! For example, Frank Welker could’ve voiced Soundwave, AND Devastator AND Wheelie. They all have three, distinct voices, and Welker could easily voice all of them.
-I would’ve also liked it if Devastator had TWO lines: “Devastator!” and then “Prepare for extermination!”
-Although I haven’t heard what Tony Todd’s voice sounds like, I would’ve liked it if Bay had convinced Leonard Nimoy to do the voice of The Fallen. (Nimoy is related to Bay, worked with Kurtzman and Orci on “Star Trek”, and voiced Galvatron for “The Transformers: The Movie”) But, as long as Todd’s voce is deep and awesome (it probably is), I’ll be good with it.

Overall, it’s a nice mix of returning voice actors, classic Transformers voice actors and new voice actors.

  7. Agreed! Soundwave looks and sounds incredible. He'll probably be back for the sequel! (He might take on a human-machine alt-mode, then! :O Dibs on a C-130! Actually, he might be a bit too small...An F-35! Then he'd be a match for Starscream! They could bicker and fight about their loyalty to Megatron!)

  8. Such an awesome movie...forest scene is brilliant..combined prime/jetfire is soo cool, if a little shortlived..but i swear mixmaster combined to make devastator and was then walking around wreaking havoc while devastator was atop the pyramid. i dunno....was great though!!
