Combined Arcee and More Concept Art

Steve Jung, Concept Designer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, has revealed some of his art he created for the movie. Of note is the image to the left of a possible combined Arcee mode that the toys themselves hint at but apparently was abandoned. Frankly the effect remains as ugly as the individual robots (but you have to work with what you’re given sometimes). Click here to view 20 more images from the artists including various Constructicon designs and set designs that were faithfully reproduced for the movie. Thanks to Scorpio for the link.

  1. I can see why they did not use it. It looks like an Autobot Demolishor.

  2. they just couldnt get arcee right, she doesnt even look female in the movie, it was a better design from the first movie!!!!! sticj with it, or perhaps she can combine in the 3rd film (with legs and feminine figure) And amybe she can transform into a cybertronian vehicle as well as 3 bikes?

  5. I'd like her to get rebuilt a little, so that she'll be able to either transform into a more Feminine Form andthat Movie2-Form.
That way, She would get much more accepted(at least by me and all other Fans, that were disappointed with her Movie2-Design, when compared to the Movie1-Toy).

  6. I think the toys will be able to combine. If you look at Arcee and Chromia, there are two posts with receiving slots hidden on the spine of the figures. I think Flare-up will have the two pegs that will allow Arcee and Chromia to join with her to complete the combined mode.

  7. If you look at the general shape of the combined form of the bikes, it looks like demolisher's shape (one wheel on the bottom, one behind the head, the two unproportional arms). That may be why the didn't have them combine because there was no way of doing it so it didn't look like demolisher.

  8. I'm having a real difficult time following this design. Is her head on her right shoulder/arm?

  9. The design for the combined form is very weird. I think it should be different and have them proportioned properly(i.e. her head in the right place. Maybe even add legs. The wheels are cool though) and have her kick some major ass. Like having her fight with bumblebee and them tag team starscream. Again Awesome. Love the idea though. I also agree with beta sword. Her design for T1 was amazing. Only she should have been a convertible car. Or a dodge challenger. And the toys do combine. I'm guessing the instructions for it will come with Flareup, which better not be a repaint. That is really dumb.

  10. I don't get why no one likes Arcees forms, I think it makes sense. They're super advanced alien robots, atleast a few of them should look less human.
I saw this peice first right before watching the movie and like an idiot thought the Arcees were going to combine to kill Devastator. XD

  11. That is great design but i don't get why people are mad about her design it looks very female have you ever looked at her face. She is really cool and so does her combined mode.
