Transformers ROTF Nominated for Scream Awards

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen recieved six nominations for Spike TV's 2009 Scream Awards. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 17th at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. I guess the Transformers crew should feel honored but realistically the Spike Awards have no credibility to speak of as it is a popularity contest that attempts to mimic (poorly) the MTV Movie Awards.

The movie was nominated for "Ultimate Scream", "Best Science Fiction Movie, "Best Sequel", "Best Director", "Best Actor in a Science Fiction Movie or TV Show" (for Shia LaBeouf) and "Best Actress in a Science Fiction Movie or TV Show" (for Megan Fox). I am a bit suprised that the movie didn't get a nomination for "The Holy Sh#@ Scene of the Year" category for the forest battle or Devastator merge especially considering what was nominated (see below).

The nominations were decided by the awards "Advisory Board" that includes Tim Burton, Wes Craven, Roland Emmerich, Neil Gaiman, Frank Miller and Eli Rith. If you want to vote for your favorite movie, head to the Scream Award website.

  2. No offence to Megan Fox Fans but i never really saw her portray much talent in ROTF. She was reduced to Shia Labouf`s style of acting by running, screaming and so on.

P.s. THE HOLY SHIT! SCENE OF THE YEAR is Rigged. I wanted to vote for The Watchmen scene but it registered the vote for the stupid HP scene!

  3. Just an FYI; if you go to the official page, ROTF actually picked up 11 nominations in a total 32 categories. Not bad for such a horribly reviewed movie haha

  6. I agree with Anonymous @6:35pm. There are SEVERAL "Holy S***! moments in "Revenge of the Fallen"! For example, The Forest Battle, The Shanghai Battle, Devastator, etc.

If you read the comments under the "Best F/X" section, like 99% of the votes are for "Harry Potter"! Why? "RotF" had the best! Even "Star Trek" or "Terminator 4" had better vfx! Someone quoted Roger Ebert as saying "The robots look like junkyard throwup." Yeah, so? That's the "DESIGN", not the "VFX!" Stupid Ebert. >:(

  7. Why is District 9 up for 0 awards and why is Knowing even an option? Hollywood abuse.

To be honest D9 wins all of these 'awards'(minus the actress part).

Wow!!! That's a lot!!! But I would still have to disagree that it's not a horrible movie.
