Transformers 2 Wins Three Scream Awards

Saturday Night, the Spike TV Scream Awards ceremony was held at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen took home three awards - Best Sci-Fi Actress for Megan Fox, Best Special Effects and Best Breakthrough Performance for Isabel Lucas.

Probably the highlight of the night for Transformers fans was Megan Fox accepting her award and using the moment to set the record straight about her not being killed off in the third film and her feelings about the franchise.
"I would like to take this moment to actually say something genuine. There have been a lot of false reports concerning how I feel about this movie and I just want to be very clear that I've always felt that I am a very ordinary part of an extraordinary film. These movies took me out of obscurity and they gave me a career and I am completely grateful to everyone involved with this franchise."
The full list of winners can be found here. The telecast of the award ceremony will air on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27th from 10:00pm to midnight ET/PT.

  1. How are they "false reports" when the quotes of her trashing Bay and the film come directly from her? If she was truly grateful and respected what Transformers has done for her, she would never say the things she says. Even if it's just for the attention. And I really wish she would stop paraphrasing things that Shia says regularly in interviews.

This chick is so full of shit. "To actually say something genuine." Please. It's really sad that she's a part of such a kick ass franchise.

  2. It's really sad to see such a kick ass franchise turn into a rushed production of half-assed movies.

  3. She never trashed the damn franchise. She was honest about her part in the films and what the films truly are...which is pure spectacle which don't require much for actors, especially her under the direction of Bay.

She never said she wasn't grateful at anytime in the interviews she's given. She's been quite the opposite. But, she's also said she wasn't going to pretend that people go to these films to see the actors.

She also stated that she wants to be considered as a serious actress and that the films haven't given her those acting moments to showcase herself...which we all know is totally true.

As for her comments about Bay, it's pretty interesting she gets trashed for basically telling the truth about his style of directing, while also still saying she enjoys him as a person. Bruce Willis said pretty much the same thing after working with him on Armageddon and refuses to work with him again. Kate Beckinsale, on Pearl Harbor, also said the same things about Bay. Megan isn't the only actor to have a strong opinion about Bay.

Everything needs to be taken into context...

  4. Congratulations for Isabel Lucas! And well done for the film winning best effects.

No congrats for Fox, though...She hardly deserves anything...Except a Razzie, which I highly suspect she could get!

  5. Megan doesn't deserve best sci-fi actress. her role wasn't enough to really even be considered.

But, it's sad that she feels she has to defend herself everywhere she goes now. She just has to move on and improve like the rest of the world.
If she continually lives in that world of defense, she's not going to go forward...

  6. or maybe all these comments and fueds or whatever you want to call them is for publicity. No matter what her opinions are of Bay she is getting attention. She gets roles based on her looks not her acting ability.
