Rollbar Out, Wheelie In for Transformers 3

Nelson, the MB.com admin, returns with more hints of information. This time it is news that the jeep Rollbar is not part of the Transformers 3 cast. The other is Wheelie will return.

In regards to Rollbar, Nelson posted on the MB.com forums, "It's actually not Rollbar or a TF to being with. This Jeep has nothing to do with the TF3 production as of this moment. A dedicated fan decided to try his luck at having his Jeep featured in TF3." He also reiterated the message with "It was a publicity stunt on behalf of the owner in which "reportedly" some set people fell for. It never made it into the set. Have you seen images of it being take off the flatbed and getting prepped? No. Have you notice that most of not all the videos have been mysteriously removed by the studio?" and then again just in case wasn't clear enough, "I've just received official re-confirmation that the Jeep is not in the movie." So just to be clear, Rollbar is not, nor ever was, in Transformers 3. As far as publicity stunts go, it was pretty darn successful but I not sure what was gained from it. At least it explains those odd model pics that were released around the same time.

With the removal of one potential Transformer comes the verification of another as Wheelie will make his return. Nelson posted, the "...silver Benz is a car that Carly drives, and no Jeep Rollbar. Wheelie (or Wheels like Bay likes to call him) is in." I wonder if they will bother explain why he abandoned his crush Mikeala.

I think that's your answer right there.

  3. It's kinda fishy that Wheelie would be in the car with Carly... unless he was spying on her..

  4. well of course he's in it. he has the location of the other legends lol

  5. I think he means Wheelie is in the MOVIE, not in the car.

  6. That Jeep I thought was too much a showpiece anyway. The news of Wheelie returning is another wrinkle in the Mikeala Banes case. How will he get along without his "Warrior Goddess"?

  7. the silver car that carly drives has euro tags on it in Chicago.. suspicious.

I knew Rollbar was a farce.

  9. I call bluff here. I believe Nelson is officially part of the misinformation campaign, whether or not you believe he is. I say Rollbar is still in.

  10. Noo its def real! Wheelie has knowledge of the remaining seekers. Whoever the firetruck is, rodimus or maximus, will be a seeker. The covered up old firetruck will be its original form and itll rescan at the airport. This story is so easy to put together.

  11. Yeah rollbar is in the movie as much as that mercedes is called "Q"

BTW the fire truck is Ultra Magnus artards.... having to primes? no aint happening specially after the epic fail that became of TF2

  12. Ah, good God. Wheelie?! I hated that freaking RC Truck. He can go die in a fire with The Twins for all I care. Maybe Shockwave will step on him early on.

  13. Aw, I'm kinda bummed about no Rollbar - though it does seem a little fishy. Why would a "fan" make a giant souped-up jeep like that with a big friggin' .50 caliber gatling gun mounted on the back? Unless it's like car cosplay...

  14. And how do we know Nelson isn't part of the misinformation campaign? We won't really know until later on...

  15. So what you're saying is that a hardcore TFan decided to barge through the set on his own set of custom wheels?

    That lucky sob.

  16. When they were filming, down on the corner of wacker and Wabash, part of the street was open due to local traffic. You could drive west on South Water St. turn right on Wabash, then another right on Wacker. During the short portion where you are on Wabash, you technically would be on set. I think the video where the jeep was on a trailer being driven through the set was exactly that. Just someone hauling it and passing through the site. I could do it in my Jeep Liberty but it would be nowhere near as dramatic.

As for the mounting of a huge machine gun on the back of it... People do some strange/stupid/extreme stuff to vehicles. I think they had a show a while back where people would just do stupid stuff to cars, oh yeah it was called "Pimp My Ride" on MTV.

Name another one of the Transformers cast of vehicles that has exterior mounted weapons (other than Starscream and Brawl, because they were military vehicles). If this vehicle was actually a transformer, the guns would be static mounted on them, like the ones on "The Wreckers" not on a slide out turret.

  18. i do believe nelson is part of the misenformation
micheal bay probably hunted him down and it was either
    1. kill and replace him
    2. pay him to give out misenformation
i beleive rollbar might not be in the movie
but jolt being in the movie and some other things, i think, are true

  19. ghjklbnm, I think you've seen to many movies.

  20. I do want to clarify, I believe the jeep is in the movie. However, I don't know whether or not his name will be Rollbar.

  21. Why did they take rollbar out? And why is jolt in this movie? I thought they giving jolt a bigger role in this movie. And what Arcee and the other two?
