Iridescent Music Video, Monster Sneak Peeks

MTV has posted a 35 second sneak peek (below) of the music video for Iridescent which is the first single from the Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack. The music video is going to be officially released on Thursday, June 2nd on MTV and MTV.com. For those not sure why to care, music videos tend to use footage from the movie it is for and this one is no exception...sort of. The segment below shows how they incorporated Shockwave and a Decepticon ship in a way that is very different from the norm so the final full product should be interesting to watch if only looking for movie footage. Thanks to MV for the link.

In addition, Paramore has released a 30 second clip (below) from their new single "Monster" from the soundtrack which will be released on June 7th. The Dark of the Moon soundtrack and score is scheduled for June 14th release.

Update: Added another video. This is a brief behind the scenes video that Linkin Park posted on their YouTube channel.

  8. They're not a troll. I, too, thinks this isn't as good as the previous two. I just don't think this type of direction they've taken with the music is really not quite so fitting for Transformers (in my opinion).

  9. I think it's a little early to say yet whether the song fits in with the movie or not being as that we haven't seen the movie to know exactly where this is playing at or just how climatic the end of the movie is going to be which is probably where this will be at but then again you never know.

As far as the look goes about being "cheap and amaterous looking" I figure it's what they intended for it to look like. As big a name as Linkin Park is they could have done it differently if they had wanted.

On topic though I'm not a big Linkin Park fan but I'll save judgement on the song till I see the movie.

  10. Used to like Linkin Park for their furious combination of melody and aggression, but not liking the melodramatic, "ColdPlay-ization" of their sound...makes them one of a dime-a-dozen bands out there.

How do you know it doesn't fit? You haven't even seen the movie yet.

  12. @Anonymous 6/01/2011 2:12 PM: so now being sloppy and lazy producing bad products is something customers must like and pay for,uh? That is just plain silly and pathetic.

  13. Dark of the Moon looks like it would be a hard, edgy movie. This song would only be good for things like tender moments. I don't think it would fit anywhere else. It's too soft for TRANSFORMERS.
