Dark of the Moon "Always Feared" TV Spot (Updated)
A new TV spot for Transformers: Dark of the Moon started airing over the weekend. I received reports of it but now a low-res version has been posted with an appropriate placeholder title of "New Enemies.“ Hopefully a HD version will be posted soon. Thanks to Winton, John and others for the heads-up.

They are the dreads,they have a toy out that shows one of the dreads can walk on all fours, looks crazy, thought i seen it at twf 2005, but i was rong i seen it at michael bay.com on the forums when you see the toy you can see the resembelence

It looks like there's only one on all fours and the other one behind is running on two legs, but can't cleary make out who. Autobot chasing it perhaps ?? In the prequel comics Soundwave had a few minions such as Ratbat, Ravage (think someone's put him back together) and Laserbeak. There was also a monkey/ape-like character and a Rhino.
ReplyDeleteHaving spent so much time & effort designing all these characters it would be a waste if Bay & co didn't/don't release hi-res CGIs. I wanna see these guys up close.

it looks like the dreads @0:19, the one next to the dog-looking decepticon has pincers just like the crankcase toy so the dog-looking con must be hatchet.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling the ones on the highway are the Dreads. If you look at the TF database on Hasbro for Crankcase, you can see the resemblance with the one in the background. (His blades on his back) It's also possible it could be Crowbar (since they have same alt mode).

And then so the one on four legs is most likely Hatchet. You can see his face looks pretty similar as well.
If you pause it right at 19 seconds, you can see some black pieces on the left. Part of another TF most likely as they are gone after that. More reason to believe it's all 3 of the Dreads.
It would be cool if Optimus died trying to help Ironhide. It's his oldest friend and they should die together. Go out gunz blazing on some decepticons. Then at the end Zeta Prime should come and say, "They may have killed Optimus, but the primes will never end. i will get revenge on the decepticons."

ReplyDeleteThe first preview of "Transformers – O Lado Oculto da Lua" (DOTM in portuguese) will happen on june 18, saturday in Rio de Janeiro, with the presence of
director Michael Bay, Josh Duhamel and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Acording to Paramount Pictures, the session is a special request from Michael Bay, also responsible for the other two movies.
The guest will take part of the event and will give interviews to the brazilian press at the Hotel Copacabana Palace. Their passage will also count with a party with celebrities from Brazil.

After seeing the HD version and pausing at the Dreads on the highway. You can see these dreadlocks type things hanging around its head. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the reasoning behind them being a part of them and their names. If so.. soooo dumb.
