Transformers: Prime Nominated for Five Emmys

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 39th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy. Transformers: Prime season 1 received five nominations in the animation categories for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Special Class Animated Program (no clue what this means), Directing and Individual Achievement. The Hub network received a total of 14 nominations for Family Game Night, The Haunting Hour, and My Little Pony. The "Daytime" slot is considering any programs broadcast between 2AM to 6PM during 2011. The winners will be announced on Saturday, June 23rd at a gala. Plans are to possibly televise the event but chances are these categories will not be. The full list of nominees is here, the TF: Prime specific ones are below.   1. I like Prime a lot its a great show. Dare I say the best ever? There are of course plenty of keyboard quarterbacks who think otherwise. Not enough "character development"? What are you talking about? Arcee having her main partner killed twice and her watching and finding about the deaths in extremely awkward and unpleasant terms doesn't make a character? No, it has to be written exactly like Beast Wars or be "kewl like Transformers Animated. Derik Wyat iz gawd."

    Starscream is a quite a character as well. People write him off as comedy relief but this is probably the most emotionally complex incarnation of Starscream we've seen on screen.

    Also: "I hatez the kidz, plz killz them off." is yet another lame argument. Compared to the kids of the Unicron triloy, this trio have a lot more personality.
