Transformers 4 Release Date, Filming Start Date, More Lead Characters Info

A new post from Acting-Auditions website has collaborates the info on the lead human characters for Transformers 4, revealed the planned filming start date (April or May 2013), and set TF4's release date as June 27th, 2014. A little more info was provided so now can described the lead as an 18 year old female high school senior and her 20-something Texan race car driver boyfriend. The choices allow Bay to (legally) play up her sex appeal while providing a "realistic" reason for why one or both can drive an Autobot vehicle like a professional for whatever action scenes Bay has designed that needs those skills. Coming Soon also reports that Paramount has designed their temporary logo for Transformers 4 where "the right half of the standard transformers symbol acting as the stem of the number four." A previous report had the release date set 6/29/14 (a Tuesday) but still in the July 4th holiday window that the previous films were released in.
Di Bonaventura Pictures and DreamWorks SKG in association with Hasbro are in development on the Paramount Pictures science fiction action film "Transformers 4". The casting directors are auditioning actors for the new lead roles in the film, as neither Shia LaBeouf or Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are returning. The female lead role is an 18 year old or above who can play high school senior age, and the male lead is an early twenties Texas race car driver who plays the female lead's boyfriend. Shooting will take place in various locations beginning in April or May of 2013. This film is currently being referred to as "Untitled Transformers Sequel".

Directors Guild of America DGA Award winner Michael Bay will return to direct his fourth installment of the film series from a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger, who also wrote "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon". Bay has said that this will be his final installment in the franchise, however Hasbro has stated that they would like to continue making additional Transformers films with or without Michael Bay. Writer Ehren Kruger's other credits include "Arlington Road," "Scream 3 & 4," "The Ring," "The Skeleton Key," and "The Brothers Grimm".

Three-time Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg will again executive produce, along with Mark Vahradian for Di Bonaventura Pictures, and Brian Goldner for Hasbro. Producers are Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto, and Academy Award nominee Ian Bryce. Spielberg and Bryce have collaborated on other films including "Saving Private Ryan," for which they both won Golden Globe Awards. Bryce also worked as assistant director on the Spielberg directed film "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", and production manager on Spielberg's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". More recently Bryce and Michael Bay both produced the Paramount Pictures feature film "Pain & Gain", on which Bay also directed.

There has been some speculation that "Transformers 4" and "Transformers 5" will be shot back-to-back with Michael Bay at the helm, however there has been no official confirmation of this. Hasbro CEO announced at the company’s third quarter earnings conference that they were actively discussing this strategy with Paramount, director Michael Bay and producer Steven Spielberg. Glenn Morshower, who appeared as General Morshower in the first three "Transformers" films stated that Bay and Spielberg were not only working on "Transformers 4", but more than likely "Transformers 5" as well. "Transformers 4" is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27, 2014.

  5. I'd like to see Galvatron (with Welker's voice tho), hint of unicron (lead in), triple-changers, maybe another combiner (not sure)... we need hotrod, smokescreen, and sideswipe, bumblebee maybe, seekers (if not starscream, then maybe some other jets) - kinda run outa 'cons.

  8. I call forward, Blitzwing, the Starscream's doubles: Skywarp & Thundercracker, Astrotrain, Galvatron,Shockwave & Soundwave for decepticons

I call forward, Ultra Magnus, Hotrod, Smokescreen (as the suburu race car), Grimlock (he will be a Cybertronian T-Rex, reference to Beast Wars being the transformers b4 the Primes from when Cybertron was organic),Kup as the leader of autobots

For the Autobots, I would call forward, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, the Aerialbots/Superion, Ultra Magnus, Grimlock, Smokescreen, Ratchet, Sideswipe and Dino, bc we can't go around him anymore.

For the Decepticons, Galvatron, Blitzwing, Astrotrain, Skywarp and Thundercracker and/or Ramjet, maybe Cyclonus, but definitly the Combticons/Bruticus, to fight Superion. Maybe introduce Predacons.

  10. Even if all the bots u want to see on the big screen you may not see them very much they will just focus on the humans and the bots won't get much screen time.
