New Transformers 4 Robot Images, Silo Set Explosion Video
While in their rush to grab pictures from this site of this weekend's filming at the Damen Avenue abandoned silo without giving proper credit to Colin H, TFormers did manage to find a great video (below) of the explosives going off on top of the silo that destroyed the bridge joining the two sections. The boom was big enough to set off car alarms that were not exactly close to the site. In addition, TFW2005 used my link to cmarseye's TF4 gallery to catch something I didn't (dang it) - two pictures of two unknown Transformer robots from the first day of filming in Chicago on August 24th. The first is probably Bay approving something from ILM on his Macbook while the other was on the clapper (which is held upside down for some reason).

There is a clearer, bigger, picture of the upside down clapper board over at tfw2005.
ReplyDeleteFrom the looks of it, it is too small to be a Dinobot. However, looking at the colour and size of the Transformer, it looks more like "Drift". Also if you look closely at the lights on its chest it looks like the Bugatti's rear lights.
As for the image on the laptop, there looks to be not three, but FIVE Dinobots!!
What about those shoulders with claws (or something like them)? Doesn't look like a transformers with car as an alternate mode.
DeleteTrue, but it could be inside the vehicle, perhaps?
DeleteCome to think of it, the clapper board Transformer looks MORE like Thundertron.
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Thundertron
I was thinkn the same about the Bugatti! But the laptop image....only thing i can make out is the vehicle..cant tell whats in the background
ReplyDeleteDoesn't anybody notice the small prop on cmraseye's flickr account? It looks like Bumblebee's new head!

I don't hope it's legit, bc it looks stupid and very goofy, almost like Wall-E. That does not fit the bad-ass Transformers they are.
I don't see shit on Bay's laptop, only the car in the middle. I can't believe people see Dinobots in there.
As for the new Transformer on the clipboard, going by the colorscheme, my first guess is also Drift the Bugatti.
Yeah I noticed it, I thought it had bunny ears, so I ignored it! Hahaha!
DeleteIt could be Bumblebee's new head design or maybe it could be that white Camaro's head design (I don't know if it is a Transformer though). The reason i am saying that is because, Bee has ALWAYS had that box type head shape and plus the eyes are like too close to each other if you know what I mean. But then again, it could also be possibly his head design too...
If it turns out to be Bee's head, I am going to the top of my roof and going to pull out my Magnum.
I hope they made it just for fun, but you can see clearly it has Bee's 'helmet'.
DeleteBecause they'll look different for the next movies, it makes no sense to have completely other looking heads.
What you thougth were bunny ears, are the adjusters for the monitor rack and the cord from the powerstrip.
I wonder if there is a chance the bot in the second pic could be Soundwave? It looks like it is a fairly small bot and as best as I can remember right now he didn't die. I could be wrong though it's been awhile
ReplyDeleteBumblebee blew Soundwave's head off in DOTM, right after the Decepticon dropship (that was sabotaged by Brains & Wheelie) fell in the water by that bridge in Chicago.
DeleteTell Paramount to go take a flying leap. If those pictures were taken of an open set from somewhere the photographer had a legal right to be, the Supreme Court has already ruled that the photographer has a right to take them and owns the copyright to them.

ReplyDeletecome on man cant you wait for the trailers and the movie will be here this summer, and BOOM!!!! baysplosions and bayhem, ha ha ha ha. Chill out man
ReplyDeleteDudemus: I believe we'll see the trailer during superbowl sunday again like he did with dotm, I freaked out when I seen it. But the clapboard pic looks to me to be a dinobot. If so Its look great thus far as l can tell.
ReplyDeleteDudemus:hey tens, what's your opinion?!
ReplyDeleteIt could be a Dinobot, especially with the claw like looking hands. It could also be the bot form of the Bugatti, as well. I kinda hope it's Swoop though.
ReplyDeleteDespite the claws on its shoulder, it is way too small to be a Dinobot.
DeleteThat's why I think it's either Drift or Blurr (based on the upper torso and wing looking designs on the side of his head)
DeleteDudemus:its on a clapboard, how can you determine what size it is or going be. Wow!
DeleteI can make out the wing like fixtures on either side of the head. I could also make out the shoulders. I compared them to pics of Drift and Blurr. Both have the wing designs on their heads and similar shoulders. Only difference, Drift is white and red in color while Blurr is blue and grey.
DeleteAs for when we could see a preview......Possibly in the previews for the second part of The Hobbit movie. At least, I hope so.
ReplyDeleteYno, after really looking at the one pic on that laptop. I think there are different possible Transformers heads/faces for Michael to give his opinion on. I think one or two is a dinobot. I think the one on the far right may be a possible head design of Swoop, with what looks to be a Pteranodon skull next to it as reference. The metallic looking head looks like it could be a possible Con head, since it looks more like a Robot then a dinobot. There looks to be a few other 'in the works' heads in the pic too.
ReplyDeleteI don't know. That pic of the Bot with the blue patches on him is VERY similar to Drift or Blurr. Wait a sec.......go back and look at the posters on the fence in Chicago. Look at the one with the "He's Watching You". Now look at the pic of the grey/blue bot. They look very similar too.
ReplyDeleteDudemus:hey, tens. You know the possibilities are endless and that's what's so exciting about it. I believe its a dinobot, but I also think its not going to get accepted. Heres my reason. It looks to post hasbro action figure-ish to me, not intricate or detailed enough in comparison to all the other bots in the Beyverse edition of transformers...just tooooo tfprime to me. Just giving my opinion. With the claws on his shoulders puts me in mind of beasthunter Shockwave action figure. Again, just my opinion.
DeleteOver at Seibertron, there was a close up picture of the Dinobots. To me it looks like the camera angle is above a Transformers head (most likley Drift) with his back towards us, drawing his weapons out at the Dinobots. As for the Dinobots, I see the triceratops in the centre, Swoop who is in mid air (on the right side of the picture) and the T-rex on the far right of the picture.
ReplyDeleteIn other words, Swoop is in the middle of the two.
By the way, all the images have been removed due to Paramount's request, however, I made a few copies just before it was all removed. I have edited the pictures so the images look more clearer and what I said above is the best I could do.
DeleteThe Anon above us who mentions "Thundertron", could possibly be right. It does look like the one from the clap board, however, it's not from the G1 series.
DeleteWhere the pics at?
ReplyDeleteSo the Dinobots are Deceptacons??? WTH???
ReplyDeleteNo, Dinobots are a seperate faction from both, Decepticons and Autobots.
DeleteDudemus:as far as the g1 cartoon, the dinobots were Autobots.
DeleteCould that mean that thundertron is that other truck, the greyish truck?
ReplyDeleteDoubt it, the clap board picture, (which was removed from this site, due to Paramount's request) showed a small size, blue Transformer. Probably the size of Dino (DOTM) or Bumblebee (DOTM). In my opinion, it seems to be the robot form of the blue Bugatti ("Drift") seen with the Autobots.
DeleteDudemus: not sure if they started filming in China but when they do everything is going to go dark. There will be very little info if any. Lets just hope that someone will get something out that we can discuss.
DeleteGuess when that happens we'll have little to talk about...except possibly what the action figures are going to look like for this series. Actually has anyboby any ideas or info on that?...been searching the web and it seems hasbro is really tight lipped about it.
DeleteHi you have a nice site over here! Thanks for sharing this interesting stuff for us! If you keep up this good work I’ll visit your weblog again. Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't see an add for "free advertisement for your site"on this blog...beat it!
DeleteThe pictures are still up at TFW2005:

http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-just-movie-31/magazine-supplement-reveals-tentative-timeline-for-transformers-4-trailer-toyline-release-and-more-178483/ Unlike in DOTM, we might not see any trailer of AOE until Super Bowl.
ReplyDeleteDudemus: tell me, tens. What do you think about this?...with this rumor of Cyclonus being in this installment and with this Megatron head prop being sceen during filming. Could this be what Cyclonus is here for, the head of Megatron?...Cyclonus was made by Unicron, Unicron made Megatron into Galvatron. Could it be that Cyclonus has come to Earth to find Megatrons head to then give to Unicron so he could resurrect Megatron into Galvatron? ...if so then could it be possible that the next film will feature both Unicron and Galvatron?...I loved Cyclonus and what I remember about him the most was his strong desire to find Megatron/Galvatron and he would always say "all hail Galvatron!" Before and after battles. Hes much more loyal than Starscream....tell me what you think.
ReplyDeleteWell that could give reason why this talk about some parts are going to be in outerspace comes from. Maybe the Autobots are going to try to intercept Cyclonus before he makes it to earth...sounds plausible, you know how bey is. He like to put his own spin on things. Cyclonus did search for Megatron but Megatron was already Galvatron at the time on planet Chaar...I remember that from the cartoon.
DeleteCyclonus doesn't need have an origin of kind he had in G1 to be in this film.
DeleteDudemus: correction cyclonus is second in command. If Bey has done anything absolute in the tranformers is chain of command. So it would be fitting to have someone like cyclonus to have somewhat of an origin wouldn't you think? With that being said more than likely he will be the main antagonist in this movie if in fact he is which believe he will be. He will more than likely command the decepticons. I know your not perhaps thinking his appearance will be something like "here to avenge my leaders death" theme. And as a matter of fact Bey has taken some g1 history into his films. Why? Not by way of him, but by Hasbro who wanted him to stay within the realms of the trasformers universe.
DeleteLest we forget, the name Cyclonus was also used for the blundering nitwit 'con in Armada/Energon. Lets hope Bay doesn't go that way.
ReplyDeleteDudemus:this movie is going to have a more serious tone. I wouldn't even entertain that thought.
DeleteWell now we know when certain events are giong to take place quaterly, I just hope hasbro does this series toyline better justice than Dotm. I would hope they approach the line with the type of craftmanship they had with Rotf line. And I hope they do not produce another leaderclass bumblebee. And give us Optprm, Hound, Cyclonus and Motormaster in leaderclass.
DeleteI think there's a good chance we could see Cyclonus, along with Bayverse version of M.E.C.H. Since Megatron's head was seen on set, I do think he plays a part in the film.
ReplyDeleteCould have shockwave been upgraded to cyclonus?
ReplyDeleteDudemus: Cyclonus and Shockwave are two different bots. Have to remember Hasbro has last say on the screenwrite and character selection. Although Bey puts his own spin on his version he still has limitation to how far he can go. With that being said, I seriously doubt that Hasbro would allow him to introduce Cyclonus as a ressurected Shockwave. Megatron to Galvatron however is a part of the lore as well as Optimus Death and resurrection, but Cyclonus as an upgrade or resurrection of Shockwave is highly unlikely.
Delete@ Dudemus and some others, it's BAY, Michael Bay, not BEY.
DeleteAnd I agree, they will never resurrect Sockwave as Cyclonus, they wil just introduce Cyclonus. Yes they do sometimes change names, like they did in TF1, they gave the tank the name Devastator, bc that was appropriate, he was very destructive and very hard to kill, but they will not resurrect Shockwave into another altmode. Like you said, it's not part of the TF lore like the Megatron/Galvatron resurrection
Dudemus:I spell it that way because he like to take things to the left, so l do it with his name...plus it looks better. Lol. And I'm glad someone is familiar with Transformers lore. Some on this blog are not, which become very clear at times at some statements they make. Thinks for the back up, Martinus.
DeleteAnytime Dudemus. :-)
