Transformers 4 Weapons Picture (Updated)

A TFW2005 board member has posted the image (left) of four weapons that were spotted at a Pontiac, Michigan location being used as a storehouse for Transformers 4 production while they film in the state. These 4 are in addition to one that Mark Wahlberg's character has been spotted carrying. Exactly what the weapons are for remains unknown but their scale indicates they would fit fairly comfortably in a Transformer's hand. Any case speculate away in the comments.

Update: Picture pulled at the demand of Paramount Pictures. Which has the side effect of confirming that the 4 sword like weapons are part of Transformers 4 production.

Yeah, that's what I tought of also. They look very primitive, must definitly Dinobot weapons.
I like the first one on the left the most, that's one awesome looking weapon, very Transformers like, just like Sentinel Prime's weapon.

    2. I agree...Snag, Snarl, Swoop and Grimlock all had swords...

    3. Dudemus:possible, Grimlock does have a sword.

  2. The Last two weapons look like Ultra Magnus' hammer.

  3. I don't know guys, why would they make real hand held weapons for cgi characters? But who knows?

You'll find out when you see the movie. Your way of thinking is to narrow.
There is always a reason why they do certain things.
Big studio productions always favor practical effects over visual effects.
People most probably have to handle these weapons, when they find these, when they, for example, discover the Dinobots. Or maybe these weapon are made by the human scientists.
It's amost certain that people will have to handle these weapons in one way or another.

  4. With the speculation that vector prime might be in the film, they could be the cyber keys.

    1. Seriously doubt it dude. Plus thats a new one to me, first time I heard that one.

    2. Seriously anon above me? When we saw the other sword-like weapons in Mark Wahlberg hands, many people were talking about the key(s) to Vector Sigma. Bc they had multiple of them, probably also one or two as back up, during stunt use.

      Delete
    3. Only keys I know of are the Omega Keys to Vector Sigma, but that was tfprime. I doubt that Bey would use references from the tfprime in his movie. Besides, what use is the keys to Vector Sigma when VS is on Cybertron and we all know that Cybertron was destroyed on DOTM?

      Delete
    4. Why not? TF:Prime is part of the franchise, tell me one reason why Bay won't or can't use stuff from TF:Prime in the movie.

Cybertron was not destroyed in DOTM. Why else would they try to bring the remains of Cybertron into earth's atmosphere?

The TF can't live anymore on Cybertron, but it is not completely destroyed, so VS couls very well be in stasis lock on Cybertron.

    5. Dudemus: when a movie studio give you 300million I would think they would want Bey to be a little more original than that. And where did you get the idea that Cybertron was partly destroyed?...you really need to watch the movie again. It emploded.

      Delete
    6. Bc it is part of the TF franchise, they take stuff from those sources, nobody said Bay will copy it one on one.
Btw, the budget is around $160-170 million, not 300!

As for Cybertron, I mean when Cybertron was brought into earth's atmosphere, at that time you see a shattered Cybertron.
When the spacebridge through the pillars got destroyed, yes, you could think it imploded.
But i bet you that did not happen (completely). Bay said, he was going to go a bit more into space. He said it is the sensible way to go.
So there has to be something to fight for.

      Delete
    7. Sounds good, but just bc he said there will be sceens in space doesn't mean its on cybertron. You forget that that the decepticons had base on one of our nearby planets inside of a crashed spacecraft that the Fallen was in with hatchlings. So it could have something to do with that. And Cybertron looked like it was destroyed to me too. Sorry I can't back you on that one.

    8. I believe that they are the keys to the omega lock and that we will see some form of unicron and primus show up in the movie or new trilogy of movies. In Transformers Cybertron cartoons they needed the omega lock to awaken primus so the autobots could fight off Unicron.

  5. Doubt it, dude.

  7. Those weapons are more childish looking than sword that was carried by Wahlberg. Why would they put anything like that in AOE?

  8. Bay could use things from TFP. In TFP, Bee's paint is reversed. He's black with yellow striping. In TF4, we a 1967 Camaro that is primarily black with yellow striping. While he isn't Bulkhead, the Autobot Hound has taken on a very bulky alt form that's reminiscent of TFP Bulkhead. In TFP, M.E.C.H. was stealing and using Transformers parts (like Bee's t-cog) to build their own transformer (Nemesis). In TF4, Kelsey Grammer is said to be playing a very evil human, in charge of a group going after the Transformers.
So, there are similarities already between TFP and TF4. While the Dinobots were not in TFP, they were in TFA. In TFA, Prowl ultimately saved and befriended the Dinobots.

    1. Dudemus:first of all a paint job isn't a storyline and tfprime had taken the paint scheme from the movie. Secondly, bulkhead is an suv not a military vehicle like hound. Where is the similarity between the two?...and rumor has it that krammer character is using their technology its still speculative that his character is going to build his own transformers and doubt that you have any direct proof to support that claim. Yes its the transformers so of course there are going to be some similarities. But the same story and somewhat of the same plot?...why spend 300million for that? Seriously, dude.

    2. First off, DON'T call me Dudemus (I'm female). Secondly, I was pointing out similarities NOT stating facts. I'm well aware of what Bulkhead was, I didn't say he and Hound were the same alt mode, just that both are big and bulky. I'm also aware of Bee's different paint schemes. Again, I was pointing out similarities between TF4 and what we saw in TFP. It has been stated (not by me) that Kelsey Grammer's character is supposedly evil. if that's the case then there's a similarity between his character and the forces of M.E.C.H., who wanted to use Transformer technology for their own advantage. Lastly, I never once spoke about possible storylines or plots, only similarities in charcacters bewteen TFP and Bayverse. YOU put your own spin on what I had posted. How about next time you just ask me to clarify my post if you're unsure of what I mean. Okay? Thanks.

    3. Dudemus: firstly is my name, secondly there is always an antagonist in movies with this type nature. And I mentioned that of course there will be similarities, however your basing your theory from a cartoon when clearly we are aware that Bey takes his story to the left. And it seems as if your so deadset on this theory that you put so much effort in defense. And at times reading a few of your post you write as if your a part of screenwriting and or developement team of the production. Stop taking a blog sight so seriously, take it down a notch. We can dialog on these issues in a civilized manner.

    4. Dudemus: and for the record l love the fact that your a female transformers fan. And you have a lot of spunk!

    5. I feel like I'm one of a very few female Trans fans. I grew up on the 1980's Transformers. As a matter of fact, I just started collecting Transformers. When I say 'just started', I mean I just started, lol. I have a grand total of two right now (Sunny and Sides). I'll have my third one within a few weeks (Prowl).

I don't mean to come off defensive. I'm part of another fandom where personal attacks by extreme fans are a daily occurance, so you become defensive by default.

It's also through that fandom where I quickly learned that what 'sources' say, doesn't always end up being what we get onscreen. They often use alternate names for characters to throw off the fans. Saying a character isn't coming back usually ends up being untrue or a ruse to throw off the fans. That's why I don't take what 'sources' say at face value. They themselves could be getting deliberately deceived by TPTB.

As for the Transformers fandom, I found people here are far more open and friendly. It doesn't matter what characters you like. As my avatar shows, one of my favorite Transformers is Sideswipe. I also like Sunny, Bee, Prowl, Jazz, Smokescreen, Ratchet, Blurr and many other Bots. I also happen to like Knockout, Barricade, Starscream and the Seekers.

While I may be a bit biased about Sideswipe,I base what I post on things that I've seen and read.

    6. Dudemus:that's what's up. I've been a collector for many years and have well over 100 figures. Yeah, so fans can get a little overbearing at times. Pay them little mind...and there are a lot information out all over the internet and I'd say about 10% of everything is probably fact and I agree that some of this information out there is there to throw everybody off. Makes it that much more intriguing. Also coming onto this site I've noticed the heading has an addition. Seems the paramount has made the site pull the photo of the weapons... lastly tens1822, you are a phenom. I have meet female who enjoyed the movies and bumblebee of course, but that's about as far as it goes. But you also collect and have a passionate love for the tfuniverse. That's great.

      Delete
    7. Dudemus: now if your really looking to become a serious collector let me warn you, it can become addictive and expensive. I have figures that price range from $40-$1,200 and there are some even more expensive than that. My pride are my imports. Even with that being said in my strongest opinion the movie verse TF figures are the best ones because of the overall look style and craftmanship in the way they were designed and manufactured. From deluxe to leaderclass figures it hard to pick a favorite. Human Alliance though would be Jazz the paint job on that figure is fantastic, Barricade and Soundwave. Soundwave was an import. But sadly Dotm toyline was the worst, had some highpoints wheeljack/que, deluxe leadfoot&topspin leader Sentinel. I'm rambling sorry. You may not be the only female fan out there but your the only one that I've had the pleasure to blog with.lol. and when I say hundreds of figures I mean hundreds. No third party figures, just assessories.

  9. I think they are Omega Keys as well for either the omega lock or Vector Sigma. And TFP isnt the only show or tf media they were used in. These things are small enough to be held by humans but sizeable enough to be considered a "key" to a tf. We will see in the end though.

  10. Totally dinobots, snarl's on the left next to grimlocks sword. Too much of a coincidence to b anything else, now, main point, WHERE IS ULTRA MAGNUS? We've waited 3 films now for.......sake

  11. this film is about race between autobots n decep to revived dinobots by using 4 keys...

    1. Dudemus: now that sound a little more realistic than all of that Cybertron mumbo jumbo. And there is a picture with Bey and other cast members standing in front of some alien type of prop. Could it be possible that this hing is what needs to be opened?...and perhaps these keys are what they need to retrieve to do so? If in fact this key thing is a part of the story. I've heard nothing of it except on this blog.

Yeah, indeed, that pyramid looking thing has definitly something to do with the Dinobots.

I know they aren't filming in Egypt, but what if the Dinobots were buried in one of the other 2 pyramids? That would be cool.

I'm very curious where they find this metal looking pyramid thingie. Anyone any suggestions? Maybe China? Or is it a part of one of the Dinobots?
I guess they find some of the keys/weapons in China.

    3. Maybe the triangle is a part of the 'Chase from Hell" scene, down in Texas? If it was found beneath the sand, then it's possible it could have been found in the desert areas of the southwestern part of the states or Mexico (which does have pyramids). Then again, maybe the Chinese found the Triangle on an excavation in Egypt. They then could've brought the Triangle back to China and placed it in one of their museums to be worked on?

      Delete
    4. Dudemus:hey, tens 1822. Read your reply. Interesting...anyway. the Texas theory may have some legs. There is dry desert looking land out there and dinosaurs have been found there as well. Still lost about the China shoots. You know, as to where it going to fit in the the whole scheme of things...????

    6. Martinus Prime9/19/2013 7:22 AM

Hey tens, yeah the Texas desert land could very well be the place where the Dinobots are buried somewhere. That would make sense, also with the teaser poster.

I'm glad they incoorporate China a lot better than Iron Man 3 did, that was some poor cheap advertising, that scene did not even show up in the theatre or on blu-ray outside of China.
Why? What's the reason for advertising for China, only in China? The Chinese already know they live in China and already know what milk they can buy.
If you want to make advertisement for China, you show that advertising outside of China. Like TF4 now is doing with that E-Jet concept car.
In TF4 China at least has some big important action scenes. With much more Chinese actors.

It's on the homepage of Bay's own official website, you can find that on the left of this site in the links.

  13. If the Triangle holds the key to reviving the DInobots, then maybe the Dinobots are revived in China? I'm wondering if the scenes being filmed in China are mainly of the human cast. I imagine it's very expensive and pretty difficult transporting a vast fleet of vehicles from Chicago all the way to China. Which would explain why Chicago and Detroit were turned into China. There's suppose to be scenes shot in China of chinese landmarks being destroyed, Bay-style. Hopefully, there'll be some creative fans who will find a way to post pics from the China shoot, as China likes to prohibit people in their country from posting on social networks.

  15. Just a fun fact guys, i've learned from a close source that megatron will not be ressurected as Galvatron. Instead, the deceased Sentinel Prime will be summoned by Unicron and will be reincarnated as Galvatron. Dark Energon is what will bring him back from the dead.

That is all for now. have fun speculating everyone.
