A Transformers: Age of Extinction crew hoodie posted on
Transformers Cars Facebook page seems to have provided the first look at Grimlock's potential robot mode. It could be another robot but the spiky, bulky look does seem very Grimlock-like. Much like with Optimus Prime with his sword and shield, this one uses maces as weapons. This is the first report of a crew hoodie with TF image on the back (I would assume people around the set would have noticed it by now) so while it could be real, it could also be a fan mock-up. As usual time will tell.
I hope it's real! Looks pretty badass and primal!

ReplyDeleteUuuuuuummm.... not sure I'm liking this??? This thing looks like an Orc dressed in crazy spiked armor from World of Warcraft!!! BUUUT... I'll wait and give it a fair shake when I can clearly see it and am positive it's Grimlock.

ReplyDeleteDudemus:yeah, anon above. That's the first thing I noticed. Seems as if the head and neck willsplit apart forming his chest and shoulders...I'm feeling this character. Not certain if its Grimlock or not so I'm not making a call. Whomever he is he looks pretty damn dangerous.

DeleteThe robot mode totally fits the artist rendering of Grimlocks Dino mode that we have seen recently. Obviously, that is not official, but it looks like it fits. The first thing I noticed was the T-Rex head spit as the shoulders...I am dying to see him in full color...not sure if the artist rendering have accurate coloring, but he is sick looking. I love the right hand as the mace...he is out to smash decepticons! This is no way any other character...just look at the shoulders.

ReplyDeleteGrimlock! If you look carefully, you see resemblance with parts of Grimlock's dino mode (unless you haven't seen it).

i guess you never seen the hat that all the crew were wearing? It too was the movie logo but in red.
Deleteand they use autobot red on a Decepticon logo, i don't think Bay/Paramount would make that mistake.

DeleteIn Bayformers the color means nothing and yes he would let someone walk around. We seen something similar with his Optimus shirt where it was basically outline with no true tell

What about the clapper boards with the robot designed (I think of Bee and possibly Drift?) I think he does this stuff on purpose to get all of us Transformers nerds crazy

I also think it's Grimlock, look at the jaw on the shoulders, that was the first thing I noticed also. He looks awesome and bad-ass!!!
colud it be that the main story will be placed in ancient time as optimus with sword and shield, grimlock with maces? doesn't seem a bit strange in these times? maybe some kind of time machine?

ReplyDeleteI seen it above someone said.his hand is the mace. I don't think so. It looks like his hand is to the side holding it. You can see what appears to be the weapons end behind him.

I'm starting to feel that the only logical choice is the AoE Dinobots being prehistoric transformers like TF: Prime Predacons.

DeleteDudemus:I'm not sure about that one. He may just shoot fire or a ray from his mouth. He did that in G1. That could possibly be why he. Doesnt have a hand held weapon. He really doesn't need it. But who knows? We'll all have to wait and see when the movie releases.

DeleteYes. Explain Michael Bay's shirt then. As was mentioned in ROTF Jetfire/Prime outline. Bay has had a bit of history letting things get noticed without fully giving it away. Ultimately this is something that could go either way. Real. False. No one knows for sure.

DeletePersonally I can't see someone going through the trouble of making a figure..printing it on a tshirt...putting it on a crewmembers shirt and it being fanmade without having a lot of detail added in. As we have seen from previous fanmade artwork it has all been fully colored and rendered
ReplyDeletealso looks like buzzsaw from the silver hawks...if you look on the shoulders it has a trex head on each shoulder not a split head so that says fake to me and if you look at the other grimlock stuff flying atound like that store sign nothing matches up in design
ReplyDeleteThe store sign was a fairly obvious retail sign that wasn't indicating tf4. Both Hasbro and Paramount would have their ass if they put anything out..the head is the only thing that looks even somewhat similar to buzsaw...look at the shoulders again..your seeing the jaws of opposite sides. As far as I know the store sign is the only Grimlock thing we have seen. As stated this is the first potential look at what his robot mode MAY look like. As has been said countless times nothing is official till the movie
