I will never cease to be amazed at how shitty Apple is. I can't properly install it's forced Quicktime, and if I try to play the video it crashes. Guess I'll just wait for it to get on YouTube.

ReplyDeleteLooks good, however I have already seen some of the same explosions that Michael Bay used in the last films, also still not excited about the whole human relationship with the transformers, if there making a trilogy go back to the beginning day of Seibertron, explain the war, go in more depth of the transformers and all the different relationships. Don’t just place new transformers on earth with your magic wand..

And why has no-one yet asked the question of who the RC is ?? I reckon we only know what they want us to know. Still think there's a big-bad we don't know of and maybe they won't even be in the film (maybe they will) but we've only learned of 2 more dino's THIS week. Still LOADS we don't know. As much as I want to see more and more I hope they don't do any more spots or trailers or reveals of any other kind.

DeleteI think the big bad in the background is Unicron. He sends Lockdown and an army to kill Prime and the matrix of leadership because it's the only thing that can destroy him. Might not see him until the next movie though. Lockdown is a bounty hunter, so you have to ask who is paying the bounty?

Optimus asks Lockdown who sent him, I am 99% sure the answer will be unicron. Since this is Bays last movie and he is setting up for another director to take over, what better way to do that to leave the story wide open with a possible Unicron storyline. Unicron doesnt have to be in this movie physically but maybe just his voice is heard talking to lockdown.
ReplyDeleteTfcollect: it looks very exciting, Mike B looks as if he wants to go out with a bang. I doubt he will if this movie does better than all the rest. Its his baby. Just one thing. Can Optimus beat anybody in his first fight. He always getting the gas can kicked out of him in his fight rounds. Most deception kind fear him like autobot fear Megatron. All in all, I can't wait. This one is going to be the greatest of them all. And being that it's not as long as the others the action is going to be intense. Optimus in the trailer is going to have another "Optimus Rage" scene only this time with Grimlock in tow sweeping the streets of China with swords and hell fire. I'm digging it. Look fantastic.

According to a friends good friend, who is working on the post production film set, one of the new Autobots die. That Autobot is apparently Hound. However, towards the end of the movie, apparently more Autobots arrive to earth.
Like I said before, please take this unconfirmed speculation as a grain of salt!

ReplyDeleteNo I believe that's all deception!! I believe when Prime says "Who sent you here?" He's confronting Drift! I believe Drift turns on them. Notice we haven't seen Drift. I believe it's because he's a plot twist character.

DeleteYep, I partially agree. Optimus says that to Lockdown, but, Drift is working for Lockdown!! Drift will have an opportunity to take down the Autobots for good, but he will then 'actually' join the Autobots and defeat the true enemies. In other words, Drift is the main key character for this upcoming plot to succeed.
DeleteI believe the robot prime is fighting, when he is shot by lockdown, is galvatron. When Galvatron cut the car in half on the highway/roadway scene, the stills show he matches the look of the toy. He also matches the look of the robot (head/torso) laying on the lab table at the start of the trailer.
ReplyDeleteIn Finnish subtitles Prime's question was translated "Kuka lähetti teidät?". "te" is a Finnish translation of second plural. Don't know if it's only a typo, but if it's not it means question is not only for one robot.

ReplyDeleteI'm surprised someone hasn't broken down the trailer and provided screen shots like they've done in the past. There is no point in trying to figure out the plot of the movie through a 2:30 trailer. But, from what I've seen so far...it looks like it's going to be great!

ReplyDeleteI have a theory on what one of the scenes might be...We all know that Galvatron was chasing Prime in the early filming footage and we know that they fight in the roadway and then Lockdown shoot Prime...
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if (because Galvatron is human-made and controlled by humans), In that scene where all the 'suits' are watching a screen and say 'what is that?'..maybe they are watching their Galvatron fight with Prime and then Lockdown comes walking down the street and everyone is thinking holy crap what is that....that's how I think some of the scenes we've seen plays out...will be interesting to find out.

ReplyDeleteWish there were more Dinobot scenes in the trailer, but I get that they don't want everything spoiled. I was thinking the same thing as the poster above who said that the "ship" (or whatever it is) that flies over the city and starts sucking in debris reminded him of Unicron's maw. Could just be a coincidence, though.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that Michael Bay is forcing ILM to work 24/7 non-stop to improve the CGI rendering.From this trailer most scenes still need a lot of work .. there are some serious lighting issues that need fixing as well as increasing rendering precision.. a lot of the CGI on this new trailer still looks like a fast rendering for preview mode instead of a final fully detailed one.
ReplyDeleteIf it doesn't improve a lot in the next 4 weeks left they got then it won't match Pacific Rim CGI quality which so far it's the best work by ILM ever.
Agreed!! Especially the part where Optimus was transforming in his Western truck mode, at the Monument Valley scene. It looked very cartoonish.
DeleteThat transformation of lockdown was awesome, I thought Optimus transforming looked awesome as well. How ever I feel Optimus riding Grimlock and slicing and dicing needs some work also when Optimus get shot by lockdown still needs more work. So I also agree it needs work no doubt. And Pacific Rim CGI was absolutely some of the best I've ever seen. I also think the first Transformers movie had awesome CGI as well.

ReplyDeleteat 1:36. right when Tessa yells for bumblebee, bumblebee is jumping from a ship. if you look closely,you can see a dog like creature jump out after him to bite his leg. this all happens in less than than a second so look close
