Transformers: The Last Knight New York Billboard Ad

In a bit of a head scratcher, there is a New York billboard near Times Square advertising Transformers: The Last Knight found by Ben's World of Transformers. Its a cool piece of art with Optimus Prime wielding his sword against unknown enemies near a tattered flag with a Decepticon-ish symbol. Not sure why Paramount or Hasbro would pay for something like that considering filming has just started and it is a year out until release but I am game for more creative shots like that. Update Below is a tweet of another view of the billboard. Thanks to Feris O. for the link.

  4. hmmmm, the dragon reminds me of Scourge from Transformers:Energon.

Of course time will tell, but it would help Hasbro make more toys which is supposed to be the point of the movies.

    1. That would explain the 3 heads for certain and surely they would bring him in eventually

Megatron has transformed into a dragon mode in a few Transformers stories, beginning back in the Beast Wars cartoon, and he even had a two-headed dragon mode in Robots in Disguise. However, the only robot that’s ever also been a three-headed dragon is Scourge in the Transformers: Cybertron cartoon (he’s one of the Decepticons on Animatron, the Beast Planet). It may also be worth noting that Optimus Prime fought a dragon in the very first Transformers cartoon when he and a variety of Transformers got sent back in time to King Arthur’s court, but that was a regular dragon, not robotic. As always with Michael Bay, who the hell knows?

  7. All of the suggestions here make perfect sense, but Bay will probably stick a pin in a toy catalogue and call it Huffer.

    1. That would be about right. I think though with the obvious thing that there is this dragon thing on the billboard that suggests a good chance we will see more of the dinobots....at least I would think so anyways

  9. whats up friends. wikipedia is now listing sir anthony hopkins as the voice of ulra magnus. however, there is no link on the page to support that notion. it could be from an insider, could be from a troll...just throwing it out there because news has been hard to come by this time around

    1. if that is indeed true, thats pretty sweet. but if they make him an old weak ass bot like jetfire or q im gonna be so pissed. magnus has been a long awaited character for the fans

    2. That would be awesome if he turns out to be the voice of Magnus! Like is said too early to say for certain but thanks for sharing!

  13. also, the tranformers twitter account posted a cryptic tweet about the movies 'newest knight already has an armor of gold'. odin has gold armor, magnus would make sense as a last knight, primes brother. once again, grain of salt...just trying to dig deeper into this
