King Arthur, Merlin Cast for Transformers 5?

While not official confirmed, a post from Mashable is making the rounds that a King Arthur has been cast been cast for the role of King Arthur in Transformers: The Last Knight. After his turn as a not particularily kingly version of the character in Once Upon A Time TV series, Liam Garrigan has apparently been tapped to play the TF5 version of the character for the movie. Also of interest is the site suggests that Santiago Cabrera is Merlin instead of a just a soldier under Lennox's command. Is so this would be a pretty unique take on the Merlin character. Thanks to Feris O. for the heads-up.

BTS of Transformers 5: Kids Running Wild

A new video posted on the Transformers movie Facebook page gives a look as the kid cast filming a scene for the movie with Michael Bay as they run from a likely Decepticon.

IDW November 2016 Transformers Comics

IDW Publishing has released their publishing plans for November 2016. Four floppies and no trades for that month. The Revolution mini-series to introduce the Hasbro Universe with Transformers, GI Joe, ROM, Micronauts, M.A.S.K. and Action Man is coming to an end. That means relaunches of various titles including More Than Meets the Eye but its not a reboot. For the full details of IDW's other books including GI Joe, Ghostbusters, Star Trek, and more click here.

Transformers: Combiner Wars Episode 4

Megatron joins the adventure in the latest episode of Transformers: Combiner Wars. Not entirely sure but do believe there is an easter egg of a certain 1986 movie spike.

A Knight Filming for Transformers 5 in Scotland

It looks like Transformers: The Last Knight will have a literal knight in shining armor in it, based on pics from the Staffin distrtict at the Isle of Skye, Scotland Facebook page. The left image represents the set of images which is said to be from Transformers: The Last Knight filming at the location. The other images show the knight (who reminds me of one of the Hobbits from the trilogy) and the helicopter used to film a scene. My guess is, much like the previous movies, there will be a flashback to the past for some Transformers related artifact or event that will tie into the movie's present day plot (why break the franchise's script formula if it keeps working.).

Transformers 5 Heads to Scotland

Sadly this go round Michael Bay has done a very effective job of keeping his sets locked down so have been unable to provide any real news about the movie beyond whatever pictures the production is releasing through their social media sites. This is no different as an Instagram note from the director reveals that Transformers: The Last Knight has left Detroit. Apparently he gets to have fun with some Victoria's Secret models in Paris before "Back tomorrow to Transformers in Scotland." I assume after that they will head to London for filming.

Transformers: Combiner Wars Episode 3

A new episode of Transformers: Combiner Wars is now available in the US. It focuses only on Optimus Prime and a very angry Windblade who attempts to kill Prime. The resulting fight is actually a nice show of Prime's effortless power and conveys with an economy of motion and words why he was the leader of the Autobots. The episode for the US can be found at go90.com. Below is the international posting of the video. It is region locked for the US and possibly other places.

Bumblebee's TF5 Robot Mode

Here is the robot mode of Bumblebee for Transformers: The Last Knight as revealed via a tweet that says "Young, scrappy, and hungry." I am sure there are changes from the previous movies but they are too small for me to notice from looking at this.

Megatron's Robot Mode Revealed

MichaelBay.com has posted the new look of Megatron. Last seen as the seed for Galvatron, it looks like they merged some of that modes characteristics, the previous faces of Megatron, along with the knight look that Optimus favors to form this new design. Note, just like Prime, he seems to have a look for with or without his face mask.

Transformers: Combiner Wars Episode 1 Available Now

The first episode of Transformers: Combiner Wars is now out at go90.com or via their Apple/Google app. Currently the series is only available in the United States. The episode is just a touch over 5 minutes long (likely the average length of each episode) which possibly explains why there is currently no home video release plans since this indicates the entire first season will only be around 45 minutes long. Over all the animation is solid but the five minutes isn't enough to form an opinion about the series story or character wise. Machinima has posted the episode 1 on YouTube for international viewers (but US can't view and possibly other countries so YMMV).

New Transformers: The Last Knight Poster

From the Transformers UK twitter account we have a good look at the New York billboard for Transformers: The Last Knight. It appears in the top left is a portion of Cybertron while in the bottom right is an Earth city (Chicago?) while Prime takes his sword against a three headed enemy. Maybe a single dragon-ish thing but now can see the details it looks like it either very skeletal or reminds me of the swarm ships from Star Trek Beyond where a huge volume of smaller enemies come together to form a shape. Also of note is the space station and Decepticon-like logo flag. Thanks to Feris O. for the link.
