Transformers: Rise of the Beasts World Premiere, Reboot Confirmation and TV Spot

Turns out that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts held its world premiere in Singapore on Friday with the human cast, producers and directors on hand. An advantage of being voice actors is usually do not have to participate as much in promotional part of movies which is why so many celebs are pounce on those roles (whether should get cast in them or not but that is off topic). The US premiere party is may be happening in New York on June 5th. If interested in seeing pics from the world premiere click here.

Rise of the Beasts Director Steven Caple Jr. is making the promotional rounds and one of them was a 45 minute interview with Alfonso Nation YouTube Channel (video below). They covered a wide range of topics about making the film, working with the actors, Bay, the characters, and much more. Worth giving it a listen since its a Transformers fan asking a Transformers director questions versus most interviews where its clear the reporter is going through the motions or trying to get info on various celebs and knows nothing about the topic at hand.

Specific to this interview is Caple Jr. confirms that Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts are a reboot, saying, "Its a reboot for sure. That's all I can say without spoiling." and not a continuation of the Bayverse. This isn't a surprise since Bumblebee movie had contradicted Bayverse continuity multiple times and now Rise is bringing in Unicron while the last Bayverse movie had just hinted at the character for later use. The producers danced around it for whatever reason but nice to get official confirmation that Bayverse is its own continuity and now 'Bee and Rise are hopefully the start of a new continuity (hopefully means Megatron and other A-list Decepticons are in play again).

Last, here is a new TV spot for the movie that will hit theaters on June 9th.
