After an hour flight to 125,000 feet above the Earth in space, the first trailer for Transformers One is out. The animated movie is set on Cybertron before the rise of Optimus Prime and Megatron, before the civil war that ravages the planet, and shows the friendship between the two had before becoming enemies. From looking at the trailer, it does appear this is set well before the events that lead to the TF civil war so seems they are building in room for potential sequels.
The voice cast is Chris Hemsworth (Orion Pax), Brian Tyree Henry (D-16), Scarlett Johansson (Elita), Keegan-Michael Key (Bumbleebee), John Hamm (Sentinel Prime), and Laurence Fishburne (Alpha Trion). The movie hits theaters on September 20, 2024. The release date got bumped a week so can screen on IMAX screens.
