Writer Chosen for Transformers, G.I. Joe Crossover Film

Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover movie has been assigned a writer. Derek Connolly has been tapped to write the film. His previous writing work includes Jurassic World films, Kong: Skull Island, Detective Pikachu, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and also The Legend of Zelda. His work doesn't exactly win over critics but most of his films have been commercial successes and he does show an ability with action films which ultimately is what Transformers and G.I. films fall under. Also suspect he knows how to write to a budget which will be important for the next film considering Rise of the Beasts probably broke even so Paramount and Hasbro are going to be more budget conscious. Currently no story information or release date set for the film.
