New Angle On Tanker Explosion

We have seen the tanker aftermath, the tanker explosion from two different sides, how about from down the street, looking right at it? Thanks to Ryan and Fred for the link.

Update: It turns out that apparently the tanker explosion video is not the same as the ones linked to above. As the picture Ryan put together shows, apparently they are two seperate explosions. That makes me wonder if the video from Gettodeath is one of the two or a third explosion captured on video. I don't know the area enough to make a determination one way or the other.

  1. Dude, the fact that it set off car alarms in the area is highly amusing. The shockwave blast and resulting heat musta been AWESOME!!! :) :) :) Awesome footage, dude!

  3. not bad for a "Hollywood" explosion... but after popping a former Russian tank in Iraq with 2,000lb. of C-4 "gas bombs" just don't cut it anymore

  8. The tanker explosion was forsure a different and far larger explosion than my clip and Gettodeaths. that took place later on that night i think, or earlier that morning, a crew member told us they woke up downtown with a blast around 5 am, our clips were taken around midnight the 27th...this was a whole different beast..Gettodeath's and my clip had 3 shelled out cars attached to the yellow crane, rigged w pyro, then slungshot in the air...this clip is awesome as hell tho...it looks like ryans clips were taken from the pedestrian bridge that overlooks shoreline drive..

  9. ^ Fmd805. These are not my videos, the one looking over "Shoreline Drive" is YOUR video.

I have never been to Long Beach so I used Google Maps, to make observations.

Ghetto Deaths video, your 3rd video, the HD video posted on Vimeo, AND the cell phone were all the same. because as I noticed in all the video's. The Porsche Cayenne (Camera Car) almost get's hit by the car skidding down the road.

In Ghetto Deaths pictures previously, the 3rd picture show's the intersection for the Tanker scene. I don't mean to cause confusion or put someone in there spot, I just want people to see what I see. So when all said and done. There were 2 Explosions total shot in Long Beach.

    Thanks guys.

  10. And I forgot about the smaller explosion in front of the Police car on Queensway Bridge in Fred's 2nd video...

    So that's 3...(not including resets)

And Fred, if you also look in your 2nd video, at point 0:12. Your over looking the intersection of the tanker scene, that would have been an awesome angle!

Not sure where else to send in info/video's...

I found this site while browsing info in the 2010 Camaro.

The video (if the link works) has an awesome shot if it, AND the Volt.

  17. Whoever mentioned Joey Lawrence, I was thinking the same thing, LOL!!! For those of you who may not have been born before the sitcom, "Give Me A Break" (an 80s sitcom), go to imdb.com and type in, "Give Me A Break" or Nell Carter, or Joey Lawrence. He was on that show when he was a child actor.

Sorry for straying off topic - this footage is looking really BADASS!!!!! And that Chevy Volt and that Centennial Corvette are SMOKIN!!!!!!!! DAYUM!!!!!

I was watching the making of of TF1on HBO-On-Demand last night (for about the tenth time, LOL!!!!I'm a TF fan since G-1),and even though I'm still somewhat skeptical, I'm still kinda pumped. Can't wait to see some designs!!!!! How I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall at ILM around the animation department!
