Arcee As a Combiner Confirmed?
TFW2005's inside source, the same that "confirmed" Devastator, is reporting that Arcee is the merge of three separate motor bikes. The pink, purple and blue bikes where custom made by RetroSBK for the movie. Its a theory that has been with the movie from nearly day one due to the call sheets and the three nearly identically dressed biker babes seen in Bethlehem. As usual, time will tell on how accurate this source is.

ReplyDeleteThe real question is.. if Arcee is indeed a combiner, would she be sold as a 3-piece set or separately? Because God forbid if she's sold as a set and some kid LOSES one of the bikes, holy Jeebuz, gotta buy a whole new set. Or if sold separately, what happens if only 1 or 2 are available but not the third? See, then you're really screwed. :)
ReplyDeleteI remember the same thing happening when I collected Devastator vehicles back in 1985 and Voltron Lions and Vehicles back in 1984. It's really tough, man!
At least these days, we have the Internet, but you still at some point have to venture out to the toy stores and mall gift shops to do some old-school treasure hunting.
But I suppose that's what makes it so much fun.

HOLY CAPPI-OLA! At the end with the giant explosion and both Lennox and SAS Teams firing upwards in the air you can see the HUMMER Concept NEST Vehicle with a man on a turret firing also. Cool.

I thought this was pretty obvious since the day 1 video of the 3 identical motorcycles(except the colors) with identical chicks, nothing new here.

Remember Bay is not making remakes of G1.. He's using Transformers Characters from all fo transformers (mainly g1) to create his own Transformers world & story..

ReplyDeleteDevastator has been confirmed by Hasbro. Where've you been? Were you going on the exclusion of Devastator angle?
Some interesting points in making Arcee a combiner are "What if one of her motorcycles is destroyed?" and "Where is her spark? [is it separated? is there a whole spark in each bike?]"
I think this will be at the end of the movie. Arcee(s) haven't been seen in all the other filming with the other Autobots, and i don't think the Audi R8 [i'm stuck on "it's Barricade"] has either. Correct me if I'm wrong. And I think that Lennox [Tyrese right?] was put in charge of a select group of soldiers in charge of Cybertronian matters.
I'm still waiting on Shockwave. Perhaps Space Bridges will be introduced in part 3 and thus introducing him.

We all know they film scenes out of order. So maybe ARCEE is not at the begining, but more at the end.
Why haven't we scene SOUNDWAVE's alt vehicle on the set somewhere?
My answers....like DEVASTATOR, most of the robots will be CGI this time. Most of the decepticons will be flying, so it's easier to make them CGI than to hire out expensive fighter jets for movie scenes.
I still think RATCHET takes a dive and his role is filled by the corvette(whoever we are calling him now)sideswipe. Didn't see him a lot of scenes this time around.
Anyway, that's my take.
Barricade's Cop car was spotting early on in filming. Maybe he doesn't survive round 2 with bumblebee! lol

I'm thinking each one is a bot (who cares how tall/short they'll be, look at Frenzy) and will be able to combine into one (as rumored). That way if one of them gets too damaged they still can function as separate bots. They'll be called the "Arcee 3".....
Here's my take on the events just witnessed:
ReplyDeleteArcee plus two other transformers track down Barricade (the Audi R8). Barricade defeats (not kills) the three robots and achieves target (hacking or attaining something useful). Exits and is confronted by the Lennox & Epps Anti-Decepticon Squad. Dispatches them easily (but Epps and Lennox manage to survive, again). Bumblebee arrives just in time to kick Barricade's ass. Barricade is finally killed and the Autobots learn something mysterious (Starscream is staging an attack on Earth, Unicron reformated Barricade to do his bidding and learn about Fallen, Megatron is still alive and instructed Barricade to find the whereabouts of the Allspark Fragment or Matrix of Leadership or Key to Vector Sigma)
(OR CONTACT SHOCKWAVE TO FIRE UP A SPACE BRIDGE!)
I see no problem with Arcee being three separate bikes that become one robot. Remember Reflector? It would be like that in reverse.
ReplyDeleteAlso, although I am of course speculating, I can see Arcee's character being kind of a big deal in the movie as the audience has never seen gestalt technology in the movie universe before - and then during the climactic battle scene, we see that the decepticons have it as well, in the form of a giant, fuck off robot made out of 7 huge pieces of construction equipment.
I'm aware that Devastator is still just rumored at this point, but it makes sense that there has to be SOME kind of big reveal to rival Megatron's escape in the first film.

That's a prequel Arcee depicted there, which is basically the 'unused' design for Arcee. That one also is back from when she was just one bike. If she's a Combiner, it can be assumed she'll be taller, maybe around Bumblebee's height...?

I don't recall if femmes were in any of the other series', but The Femmes in G1 were always pretty short compared to the Mechs. It really would make sense for 'Cee to be shorter. Especially since she was short, even for a Femme.
I didnt see anything in the video that confirms Arcee is a combiner.
