Yep, more toy galleries from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen toy line for your enjoyment (or not), all of them from the TFW2005 forums.First up is the rather tiny picture to the left that shows off the combined mode of Leader class Optimus Prime and Jetfire that has been hinted at for awhile. Of note is the combined mode doesn't quite match the black-out preview pick from Jetfire's packaging. In addition, there is the image of Devastator and his six Constructicons, a contradiction of the seven that recent press articles indicated would comprise Devastator. It looks like we will have to wait on the leak of the toy packaging to finally clear this one up.
Next is a shot of Wheelie in his packaging via an eBay auction. We previously got a look at his card backing and bio. Nothing much to add, he is still as strange looking as you expect. Makes you wonder if Scapel and him will have a tussle (that would probably be amusing to watch). More Transformer comparison photos. This time of the Takara version of Deluxe Sideways compared with the Hasbro version. Takara's version has a darker paint job that does look better. The full gallery is here. Deluxe Breakaway (still not confirmed if in movie) also gets a Takara vs. Hasbro treatment. Takara Breakaway is a brown color instead of Hasbro's tan. In this case I am not sure if it is an improvement or not. The Breakaway gallery is here.
Last is a small gallery (here) of the Transformers version of Jenga. As you can see, it is the classic game that when stacked for play forms the faction symbols. I like the touch of adding them to each block.Thanks to Phil for the links.

ReplyDeletethis has inspired me to buy the breakaway toy i think hes pritty cool my thoughts is that, the autobots are screwed if they dont get more air support, therefore i think it would be perfect to include breakaway along with jetfire possibley introducing a new form of the autobot flyers. they need LARGER transformers for the autobots. i think its highly likely to see breakaway make an appearence in the upcoming blockbuster. but for some reason when i look at the toy of breakaway his face looks a little similar to bumblebees, i think it would be kool for him to be a shy autobot, lol like a bot who is afraid or embarresed in front of Sam Mikeala lol

wat i think is devs is going to be slow (as they already stated), but if any of you have played Spiderman 3 the video game, on the level were you vs. the lizard hes so slow but when hes charged up he has this fast attack but then needs to slow down for 3 minutes, i hope devs like that

ReplyDeleteHow does this picture not match the scribbled-over picture from Jetfire's packaging? They look absolutely identical, down to every detail. It's obviously the same Hasbro stock image.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Devastator toy composed of six vehicles was shown off in February, and this picture of it is no different. We've known the toy is made up of six. It doesn't really add anything to figuring out if six or seven Constructicons form him on-screen.
i think it matches the blacked out picture perfectly. i save 150 bucks so i can get megs, prime, and jetfire all at once.

ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that once they're combined, Prime will be able to fly/hover. You can see the jet engines on his back (the two points aiming up), although they're upside down - on a blackbird, the points aim back on the engines.

@TylerMirage I don't think it's been confirmed one way or another specifically. However, I'd be willing to bet that the trailer will just be a more finalized render of at least most of the same scenes.

What, do they get replacement red eye-lights when they decided to follow Megs, along with their decepticon symbol tattoos? They obviously can't just change the color at will otherwise Jetfire would have made his blue when he switched sides.

ReplyDeleteI personally hope that the new Theatrical Trailer debuting with "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is either completely new and different or at least includes a few new shots/finished renders.
If I recall, there was an article back in February, (when "Friday, the 13th" was released) and one of the employees at the theatre described what he saw in the trailer. He mentioned things like "Mikaela and Sam taking about 'not giving' up", A huge Transformer throwing smaller Transformers off of him, and it ending with Optimus talking. I'd like to see THAT trailer in theatres!

ReplyDeleteI already know what's going on. Scavenger is that excavator as a part of Devastator. Demolishor is a Constructicon, but not part of Devastator. Their alternate mode paintings hinted that Demolishor is Terex RH400 and excavator as a part of Devastator is O&K RH400. So, that excavator is Scavenger.

Prime's height is about the same length of Demolishor's head.

to punch......nop primes heigth isn't the size of demoliahors head...i dont have the links to the pics....but i inspected the video of the 2nd trailer 1920.....and slo-mo the video and paused it when needed....prime is more then two times the size of demolishers head or a little bigger then demolishers wheel.
ReplyDeleteIf im not mistaken demolisher is about 85 feet tall......and devastator max height is 150 feet and his heigt when his on his all fours (like a gorila) is prbably about 90 feet tall.
Jetfire is more then 55 feet tall and optimus is 30 feet.....them combined maybe we have a 65 feet tall robot

Not sure if anyone knows or if this has been brought up before but as far as the THIS toy version of Devs goes the vehicles will not have a robot mode. They only transform from vehicle mode to the various parts of Devs. The "other" Constructicons have a robot mode but can't combine into Devs. That sucks.

Those clever bastards at Mattel know how to be annoying, putting Leader Prime and Jetfire in two separate releases. I think I saw something that said Leader Jetfire wouldn't be released until a couple months after Prime.

ReplyDeleteI can see a reason for Dev combining, like they are "family" members or cause they were mae that way to start with and made around the same time, there is a connection between them that allows this.
BUT OP is an Autobot, Jet was a Decpticon, OP is younger and Jet is how old? Why would there be a connection between them that allows them to combine?
And if it is because they can re-configure themselves to do this (like BB from old to new Camero), then why couldn't BB, Ironhide, Ratchet and any others doe the same thing to combine into a bigger Transformer?
Get what I mean? I think this needs to be explained more so than a Female TF.
Why would Alice be Sam's roommate? colleges don't put guys and girls together to be roommates for the obvious reasons.

Anyone agree with me that Springer is a pretty good bet for being in the movie? He has a Robot Heroes toy, a Deluxe class toy, AND a Legends class toy. Skids and Mudflap don't even have that many toy types. Neither do Arcee or her "sisters". Three different toy classes is a good bet that he is in the movie. Unless if it is some sort of sick joke played by Hasbro to get ME to think this....

Ok. The prime Jetfire combo for the leader class is basicly crap even a child could do better. All they needed to do was have those two kibble pieces over his shouders fold over his front so they can add protection. Fans and collectors will be conned into buying both so here is a few points:
Prime is worth buying and hopefully very quickly as there are high rumors that he might die and if he does then the toy may become very valuable very fast. The design of prime is good and cool although the transformation will take even adults ages.
Jetfire is another good toy however he is just that a toy. The vehicle form is the one they spent time designing and the robot form`s front is just box shaped (Obviously to hide lighs and speakers)
The Devastator toy in reality is smaller than the leader class toy with each vehicle bieng about the size of an average computer mouse. I say you should only buy the Devastator toy if he is less than £50 or whatever that is in other courency. The Design is weakened by the fact the Vehicles DONT TRANSFORM INTO ROBOTS!
i am not too thrill about the combination mode between op and jf now that is shown. it is quite a letdown, both toys looked great as individuals though. a part of me says that it is not how it would look as most tf toys tend to look slightly different at the back of the box.
ReplyDeletei agree with scorpio. vehicles that can't transform and combined is weak and it's a letdown. I pray that hasbro is working their asses off to get us the transformable individuals that can combined. i wouldn't mind getting milked by them if they are able to produce it.
