It turns out while Michael Bay, the Wreckers and others were at the Daytona 500, a new TV spot aired for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It is about half identical to the Super Bowl commercial and half of new scenes. Starscream transforming and landing in front of Sam and Carly, Optimus Prime walking as cartridge pops out of gun toward screen, Sam & Carly moment, a voiceover (probably John Turturro) saying "...years from now they’re gonna ask where were you when they took over the planet", Epps yelling "Run!", Bumblebee in weapon mode, and the Wreckers. The image is part of the filming that occured at a Wabash and Lake parking deck in Chicago. Safe to say that bus going boom sequence involves Starscream trying to get Sam. The magic of Hollywood in action.

ReplyDeleteThis is a TRANSFORMERS movie about TRANSFORMING ROBOTS ! Humans are only in the damned thing to reduce costs - 2.5 hrs of pure CGI 'bot action would probably have cost triple the budget. Actors/actresses with low demands were cast so more could be spent on CGI and big-bangs - shouldn't we all be happy about that ?!
We got treated to Megan Fox in the first 2 movies (not integral to the story, eye-candy nonetheless) who is, for one reason or another, not in this movie - reason irrelevant.
There now is a replacement for Megan - a lingerie model for one of the most famous lingerie brands ever known. Yet all you folk go on about is "Rosie's ugly, Rosie's rubbish, Rosie can't act", blah blah blah... WHO GIVES A $H!T ?!
A) she doesn't need to act - just be present as an attractive female as god only knows what you'd all say if there was no female lead/stunner (what would you all you have said if Kathy Bates had got the lead female role ?!)
B) she's a PANTY model with the likes of Adriana Lima. She ISN'T ugly, go and watch Bay's VS promos on Vimeo... THEN try saying she's ugly. If she was running round Chicago with f##k all on except B&P then I bet you wouldn't be commenting on her in the same way.
FFS grow-up, accept that we're getting a THIRD live-action film from the franchise we always prayed we would get at least ONE film from !!

After waiting for 17 months we have finally gotten to see a minute or so of DOTM footage and it’s awesome; Prime in flight and fighting, Bumblebee’s Mech-Tech weapon, Starsceam looking amazing, Chicago being decimated and what looks to be Ironhide’s lONG OVERDUE hero moment and yet people are so preoccupied with Rosie Huntington-Whitely’s looks. When Rosie was cast people said she was too hot to be Sam's new love interest, that he's a nerd and could never land a women so beautiful...now people are calling a Victoria's Secret Angel "fugly". Really?

Rosie is the perfect butterface ever.
There are a lot of womens with pretty faces but they can't be models because they are not tall enough. Wow...I didn't know movies about toys could bring out the beast wars in blog posters. At any rate, I sincerely wish the cars had been called the Stunticons, rather than the Wreckers. Even though they can't combine (do they even transform into bots?) I do miss my gestalts.... :-)
