Fantastic Transformers Ironhide CGI Image
An amazing CGI image of Ironhide showed up along with Frenzy from Emerald Twilight on the TFW2005 boards. This is a Transformer I truly like as his entire design just looks fantastic and he has that bulk and strength that has always been inferred by the original G1 incarnation of Ironhide. While the G1 toy never had that bulk, I don't think that will be a problem with this movie version. Overall this is the best sneak peak pic released yet.

Definately agree with ya on this one, I'm diggin his design...he's got the mass and bulk to fit his personality. X3 It's a straight up kick ass design.

I really dig all the Autobots design. I think they got them pretty spot on. Now for the decepticons, the best thing so far is not naming Frenzy Soundwave. Hopefully the decepticons have some type of personality other that mindless robots who crave destruction.

ReplyDeleteI think this design looks really good. The face looks like optimus though...that's gonna be stuck on my mind everytime I see his face. Overall, I like all of the designs so far. I'm understanding why Bay would do this cuz the human faces on the robots wouldn't look that goo. That's why Bay's the boss! However, I think starscream looks like crap. I can't accept that.
ReplyDeleteWhat most people (the haters?) are forgetting is that this is BASED on G1, not that it IS G1. I have recently gone back and watched the entire series and the only part that has really standed the test of time was the movie. I'm not saying that the rest was bad, just that it's not as incredible as one would remember it being as a kid.
ReplyDeleteThe most recent TF series that has come to the US suck imo.... the last GOOD series from Japan was BeastWars II/BeastWars Neo....again, imo.
I can dig these new designs and just wonder if it wasn't such a great idea to try to get the originals in this because the voices don't match the designs just yet.... but watching the movie after it comes out will reveal if it was a good decision or not.
Only thing I'm really worried about in this movie is the storyline. If it's not a worthy storyline, it's not a worthy movie, no matter if they used the G1 designs and VAs or not.
