Transformers International Poster

AICN has posted the international poster for Transformers, that merges various elements of previous versions. Overall, not bad looking.

  1. I hate how other countries get their own specific versions. It becomes very difficult to get ahold of if that version happens to be a better design... on top of the fact that it's in a different language.

  2. I have it when the other countries get better versions when the original is supposed to be the best.

  5. I'm missing something here. It would look like that would be, maybe, Megatron's eye. But from the art I've seen for the lame looking Magatron he doesn't even have eyes.

I better not get started on the Megatron thing. Boy I wish someone had the guts to do a Transformers movie with a f**king gun.

Their jelly-spined enough to leave that out, but then toss in this cross cut shredder (less than) special effect. Then get Hugo to do the voice. He's an ass for excepting the job, in any case. It's okay everyone makes mistakes, but that only really covers V For Vendetta, whats the excuse this time?

We've all seen this movie before. Just setup three TVs and DVD players side by side by side. Then start these films at the same time. ID4, T2, Gozilla. If you have seen these films, you can avoid this one. If you are longing to see them again all at once on the silver screen, go to this movie. You will love it. Sure, it's a copy, but what movie can you see that is not?

At least there is always the MTNT movie. They didn't mess that up too much. And I hear The Watchmen is coming out next year.

  6. ^ You have obviously not been paying that much attention to the development of this movie and the updates on this blog if you honestly think you can make a claim like that.

The eye is a rerendered Autobot symbol, BTW.

  7. That a rendered autobot symbol???

It sure was not clean, but I guess I can see it. Question is why does it look evil?

  8. An interesting item to note: The tag line "Some will come to defend us. Most will come to destroy us."

They aren't here to really do either. Humans are almost a joke to the ever goal focused Megatron and slaves to boss around to the power hungry Starscream.

In the movie Megatron wants the "allspark" which kinda falls in line with the Beast Machines Megatron. So it's that plot, but set on Earth with the Transformers just bouncing onto the scene?

That's what I have been able to pick up.

Does anyone know what kind of deal they got to use only GM cars?

Correct me if I'm wrong, cuz I got allot of my information from Wikipedia and this blog.

  9. Jazz still looks like the Martian from the Flintstones.

  10. This might be a long shot...... but to me, the image looks like the head of the G1 decepticon "shockwave", I wonder if maybe he might make a cameo in the movie, something Bay and the writers have not mentioned anything about. Like I said a long shot.

    That is a great spoof.

    Not subtle, but funny.

  14. Folks, on both sides of the isles please claim down. It's all been a mistake. This is really just MTV's Pimp My Alien Robot, The Movie.

    Sorry for the confusion.

  15. The simple truth is: Making a good movie does not matter. Also a Transformer movies does not matter at all, and never will ... unless is means money.

Sorry to spoil your day, but people work for money. Rehashing old TV show names is a common theme now-a-days in Hollywood.

Anyone recall these movies Mission Impossible, Starski & Hutch, Dukes of Hazzard, Wild Wild West, Charlie's Angles, Star Trek, and a long list of others.

Reuse of a name and some of the elements and concepts sometimes work. After all if the TV show was popular it's somewhat proven. An easier sell to the studios/investors.

Don't expect too much, and like other remakishly made TV-show-into-movie projects, they don't care about the subject show, just the money. If someone asked you to toss your Transformer toys into a trash compactor for $200 million, you just might. Don't you think? After all you can get all of plastic posibles with that kind of cash.

It's a movie. It's over hyped. Where is the surprise in that. Only in rare cases are movies anywhere near as good as the Hype. It's like the newest release of Windows. Hype! Hype! Hype! The reality is it's just software. Hoo-haa. So this is just a movie. Hoo-haa.

It has an ever so slim connection to an old show. Whatever. You'll have a much better time at the movies if you ignore all the hype and forgot the connection to the old show.

PS: Can't wait until the F Troop movie is out. I hear Mr Singer is directing. :)
