Give "Fiction" from Transformers Soundtrack A Listen

Alternative Addiction has "Fiction (Before It's Too Late)" by the Goo Goo Dolls for Transformers available to listen to. According to the site the soundtrack will be in stores on June 26th but doesn't mention what the rest of the songs will be.

Click here to reach the song. I am not sure what it requires to play. If it requires Realplayer to be installed to listen, my recommendation is to NOT install Realplayer (crappy program) and wait until an alternative way to listen becomes available. Thanks to site readers for the link. Personally hadn't had much luck getting it to play, just says "buffering" so site might be just getting slammed.

  1. Now I've given it a bit more listening time, it's a catchy tune. Great lyrics for like an ending theme after the final battle. I can imagine a scene of Shia and Megan sitting on Bumblebees's hood along with all of the other Autobots staring out towards the sunset and fade to credits. I hope somebody makes a cool music video out of it.

  2. If you can't play it, click on help and or reinstall "realplayer" again. It didn't work for me until I did that. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T SET OTHER FORMATS TO REALPLAYER!

Anyways, I'm a huge ggd fan, but I wasn't crazy about it when I first heard it. After listening for a while, I think the song is perfect for the movie and I can see the two falling in love to the song. Bay is a director for a reason becuz he can see what most of us can't!

  6. "I hope somebody makes a cool music video out of it."
I think Stan Bush has that sorted out :-)
It's a tired, lifeless, useless, moaning, drawl of song.

  7. Dude, Stan Bush is freakin' awesome! I TOTALLY can't wait 'til his song comes up! I'm glad they're not bringing back "Touch" or "Dare" for this movie. Those songs really belong with the first movie. I'm sure he won't let us down with another kickass 80-90's style ROCK ANTHEM. haha :)

But I'll still look forward to "Fiction" nonetheless. It'll grow on us, for sure.

  8. Not a big GGD fan, But I hope the song is well recieved for TF's sake. I did see somewhere that Stan Bush was going to submit a song for consideration in the movie. Anyone know anything more about that? Maybe the ggd song will help the movie appeal more to women, that way my wife won't be so pissed when I hog the tv when the dvd comes out! Thanks for having this blog! JG

  9. I think It's a perfect Song for the movie. One thing I know the goos are good at is story telling. I'm a pretty big Goo's fan like the guy said at the top, but I don't really recieve this song as a goo goo dolls song... but then again I do. I'm an even bigger Transformers fan and I think this was a perfect combination. I mean it has the Same feel to it as "touch" did. The song gives a good build up in it. I think this song will be recieved more as the "Transformers Moview Song on the radio" then it will be given the title as "the goo goo dolls new song". either way that's good for the movie.

    Ok, I'm done.

  10. I like Goo Goo Dolls but this song lacks originality. It sounds like everything else they have done. I give them a C- for creative evolution.

  11. thats because it is made specifically for the story. i like it. anyways, i thought that i'd post the lyrics to the song. ive found a couple sites that have them but some of the words aren't full correct. i transcribed these myself and im pretty darn sure they're accurate. any corrections feel free :)

    Fiction (Before It's Too Late)

    I wander through fiction
    To look for the truth
    Buried beneath all the lies
And I stood at a distance
    To feel who you are
    Hiding myself in your eyes

Hold on before it’s too late
    Until we leave this behind
Don’t fall, just be who you are
It’s all that we need in our lives

And the risk that might break you
Is the one that would say:
A life you don’t live is still lost
So stand on the edge with me
Hold back your fear and see
Nothing is real ‘til it’s gone

Hold on before it’s too late
    Until we leave this behind
Don’t fall, just be who you are
It’s all that we need in our lives

So live like you mean it
And love ‘til you feel it
It’s all that we need in our lives
So stand on the edge with me
Hold back your fear and see
Nothing is real ‘til it’s gone

Hold on before it’s too late
    Until we leave this behind
Don’t fall, just be who you are
It’s all that we need in our lives

Hold on before it’s too late
    Until we leave this behind
Don’t fall, just be who you are
It’s all that we need in our lives

It’s all that we need in our lives

It’s all that I need in my life
