Two 'Transformers' sequels in pipeline
By Dave West
Studio bosses have given early approval for two sequels to the Transformers remake due out in July.
Director Michael Bay has also told how his version of the 1980s cartoon classic is heavy on the special effects and has cost some £50 million.
A trailer of the movie, to be released next month after several delays, is said to demonstrate impressive CGI as the Autobots go head-to-head in battle with the Decepticons.
Bay said he thought the combination of human actors and heavy effects had paid off. "It's got a lot of action, but at the same time it's very funny and it's got heart," he explained. "I only wanted to do Transformers if I could do it realistically."
Meanwhile, the DreamWorks studio has given the provisional go-ahead for two more movies.
Hope they're not going to be made like The Matrix and Pirates of the Caribbean were made...making two and three directly related instead of like Spider-Man where each movie ends that story.
ReplyDeleteThey have to have Devastator in the 2nd one. Its only right that they do.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for Hound, practically my only fav autobot...astrotrain or blitzwing would be cool too. At least we know they're going to put soundwave in it.
ReplyDeleteDevastator would fucking ROCK.
ReplyDeleteThey've got to have Soundwave. Transformers wouldn't be complete without him.
ReplyDelete"Soundwave superior, Constructicons inferior."
And let's not forget PROWL.
ReplyDelete(In my opinion, it should've been Prowl, who should be an Autobot. Not a Decepticon. Not BARRICADE.)
Prowl, Soundwave and cassettes, Construticons(and thus Devistator), Astrotain, Hound, and so many others.
ReplyDeleteSo far this movie does not appear to satisfy my need for transformers. I'll still be waiting for a new retro remake retelling movie, just so I can see all those characters again in their full glory.
Sure would be nice to see the real Transformers picking all the prickly bits off the outside of the new ones, after kicking their asses.
Ultra Magnus, Bluur, Hot Rod and Springer
ReplyDeleteCome on! how can u hav a transformers film without Grimlock!
ReplyDeleteMe Grimlock not kisser, me king!
What about Dorkotron, Nerdobot, and Geekivus? They were the best Transformers of all time! HAHA!
ReplyDeleteJust be happy you are getting any Transformers at all, and Michael Bay (and crew) are able to pull it off with such realism. Forget which bots are in it, just respect the realism and life he managed to bring to it!
