eBay has an auction for to Transformers busts that look like an early prototype of Optimus Prime and Megatron from the movie. Pretty strange looking really. The seller wants $750 for them, which seems a bit high to me.The description reads: Unmade toy prototype for the new Transformers movie. never made it to shelves yet! stands about 8 inches tall. very nice! unpainted. painted is extra. buyer pays shipping. Documents to prove authenticity.

That looks like Prime in his protoform mode on the right side to me.

ReplyDeleteactually that is Prime's protoform look... if you watch the movie at the scene where Prime runs in protoform mode he's very similar, and in the movie guide he looks like that too :)

ReplyDeletemegatron doesn't adapt to an earth form so he is already in his cybertron/protoform (therefore will not have a different appearance as to the film if any bust ever released!)
you can also tell it's prime from the panels on his chest, i.e. always relates to the windshield of his vehicular mode regardless of the transformers generation (perhaps except RID... sack o cack!)
