Seibertron.com found the poster to the left that could be a teaser poster for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Where the picture came from, where the poster was found, and really anything that could help in validating it is not available. Also the tiny size is all that is available so trying to figure out details is difficult. Basically there is a whole lot of nothing for something that is supposed to be the real deal. I figure its fake because if its not that is not going to do a whole lot to get people excited for the sequel. Thanks to Russell for the heads-up.

TF2 Teaser Poster?

Where the picture came from, where the poster was found, and really anything that could help in validating it is not available. Also the tiny size is all that is available so trying to figure out details is difficult. Basically there is a whole lot of nothing for something that is supposed to be the real deal. I figure its fake because if its not that is not going to do a whole lot to get people excited for the sequel. Thanks to Russell for the heads-up.

The head is definitely photoshopped from Megatron, tou can see the features there... so it's either a fan-made thingy using Meg's bits, or it's the movie version of Earth-Mode Megatron... hence REVENGE of the FALLEN... :D

Alhonestly it looks like a photoshopped pic from the new terminiater salvation movie teaser poster that got leaked, that is getting released in front of the dark knight

Well I don't see anything from Dreamworks or hasbro on the poster. Any teaser poster will have there name on it, isn't it a copyright thing? Without those on the poster it makes it very questionable.

as epic as transformers is now, there's no way they would just settle for a single object being the main attention of the poster. not a bad find but yea,
ReplyDeleteIt could be legit but it could be one out of many unfinished works or beta ones that will never get final approval and be released to the public. So no one will ever know if it was a fake or not, which probably isn't.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it's highly likely that the production "leaked" this picture on purpose to read people reactions and thoughts on forums. It's just one out of many viral marketing tactics that producers use nowadays on the 'net to quickly and freely know people reactions without doing any official survey or using their own official viewers samples.

yea definitely a fan made piece of shit, i mean if somebody was actually going to take a picture of the real poster to put it on the internet, they wouldn't take such a crappy photo and not even close enough to see details...

At just a quick glance it quite looks like a bot's protoform departing cyberteon, I.e. coming towards you. That would suggest a 'fallen' foe coming from cybertron so perhaps Soundwave in some form of story-line. I'd be surprisedvif bay goes with the "Fallen" storyline, that actual character isn't known well enough widespread. Personally, I liked what bay did with the 1st movie, completely reinvented the franchise. I hope he doesn't buckle under pressure and revert to dated/old storylines, however I don't have a problem with old characters being reinvented and freshly brought in...fingers crossed for Ultra Magnus...!

Does anyone think that Michael Bay, the produers and writers will totally ignore the previous incarnations of Transformers (stupid question, but hear me out) and make Megs to return as "The Fallen," and not be affiliated with either side? He would have his own agenda, not really caring about Autobots OR decepticons, or bots or humans for that matter. Has his own supremecy agenda and just destroys everyone, that's why the decepticons and autobots "have to" team up......

Alrite then, let's suppose it is fake. I'd certainly like to hear from the designer and listen to their 'inspiration' as to whatever is incorporated.
ReplyDeleteThey must have had some info somewhere along the line, whether fake or not, I'd like to know what they heard and also to see a close up version so we can actually see it clearly, rather than speculate as to what may or may not be shown on a fake poster.
If someone is so keen as to design a mock-up for a sequal a year in the making then they'll surely know about this blog-site... as all other avid followers of the first film do, thus it can't be too much trouble for him/her/them to drop us all a line or two as to what their reasoning for the design was.

ReplyDeletethen again, the autobot eye behind the earth on the first TF movie looked ominous... even AFTER being pointed out as an autobot eye.
i reckon the images of alt mode b'bee and prime will be featured early in the film. i reckon all bots will either be killed off or suffer serious damage and need to find new alt modes... otherwise how the hell are hasbro gonna sell any new toys?! and i doubt parents will want to shell out on a new b'bee toy just cos he's got a vent on the hood...
