Transformers: The Veiled Threat

A Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen novel pre-order has started popping up on a few websites called "Transformers: The Veiled Threat." The 304 page paperback novel is scheduled to come out next April and written by Alan Dean Foster. Foster has written a large number of novels including many for existing media properties such as Aliens, Star Trek, and Star Wars so definitely as the eye for science fiction writing.

There are no details on what the story is about but I assume it is set somewhere in the two year gap that marks the end of the first movie and beginning of the second. There is also a prequel comic book mini-series in the works that is also somewhere in the gap but whether they will going covering the same territory is known only to the writers.

  1. SPOILERS>>>>

Ratchet is the veiled threat. The reason that he didn't fix Bumblebee's voice for so long is because he didn't feel like it. He really works for the Decepticons and that's the reason he is not in the filming pictures and clips.

  2. SPOILERS>>>>>

Ratchet will bring Megatron back from the dead with the aid of Soundwave. They plan to destroy the Autobots, extract the Allspark power from Sam, and turn Earth (and eventually all other planets) into a new Cybertron and colonies. Optimus has no choice but to kill Ratchet when he finds out, but is not able to do it... Ironhide does it for him and Autobot morale drops to a steep low. Sam begins to distrust all of the Autobots, which bothers Bumblebee deeply.

There will be a scene where Sam chooses to walk home from school instead of ride in Bumblebee, and Bumblebee literally cries and makes sad noises with his engine.

  3. All this just because Ratchet was mad with Bay for not giving him any good action sequences in the first movie.
RATCHET:f***n Bay, I'll show him, dammit stop filming!

  4. The Reign of Starscream and Destiny comics tell few things about time between Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I think those things shouldn't be told on The Veiled Threat novel.

This may just end up like in Ghosts of Yesterday, a lot of things were contradicted to the comics. Just think of it as a different perspective to the background of the movie.

No way, Ironhide hates humans. I could see him turn fast. He'll help Megatron come back then he's off like a banshee to get that Mojo that peed on him!!! lol

Optimus: No, you know we don't harm humans, What is with you?!

Bay: Optimus, the fans are asking for more of Soundwave in the sequel and less of you since you're, according to them: "sooo 2 years ago!".

    Optimus: I'll do it myself
