Soundwave Video Review
From TFW2005, a video review (with short update) of the possible Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave toy. The toy has not yet been verified to be part of the line but its style suggests it could be. The reviewer starts in the "satellite" mode but I am partial to the Cybertronian jet mode. The figure size and construction suggest it’s in the Deluxe ($9.99) price point range.

G1 fan here...if this IS Soundwave, I just hope his Earth mode is cooler than this cybertronian mode.
ReplyDeleteThis is a decent toy, but it still kinda hurts to call it Soundwave.
TRAILER!?!?!?
What about Laserbeak & Ravage?
ReplyDeleteHis earthmode should look better than WALL-E's.
ReplyDeletehe looks soooooo COOOLLLL!!!! =D

The toy looks great. I was expecting some sort of automorph feature, but what the hell. Soundwave as a deluxe also seems a little farfetched, but if this toy is ever mass-released then I'll buy it just for the history. But it seems a little early for Hasbro to have already produced the toy. Especially since Bay is probably still producing the CGI of the movie. Then again the infamous "Wrap Party Video" may be the trailer for RotF all ready for a blockbuster attachment. The only thing that will tell us if this is truly the Soundwave we have all been waiting for is the TRAILER!

Like the guy said, this is Soundwave's preview figure--not unlike the protoform versions of Prime and Starscream that were released before the first movie.
ReplyDeleteSo it's a triplechanger?
ReplyDelete"So it's a triplechanger?"
ReplyDeleteNo, it's a "we don't have a clue how to properly transform him" changer. They just don't have any instructions, and don't know what should go where ;P
about the mode. i would def say its satelite cause those three panels that look similar have that reflective coating on them. also those panels wouldnt be so thin if he was a jet. whoever it is
ReplyDeleteWhat the fudge people... Get a freaking life!
ReplyDelete"What the fudge people... Get a freaking life!"
ReplyDeleteSo mister-who-have-a-life, what are you doing here...?
"What the fudge people... Get a freaking life!"
ReplyDeleteYou know, I thought I recognized you. You tried out for the football team last year, right?
"So mister-who-have-a-life, what are you doing here...?"
ReplyDeleteYes, but he's, you know, a little strange. He's a little strange.
SO is he related to Wall-E or not?
ReplyDelete"SO is he related to Wall-E or not?"
ReplyDeleteOkay, chiefie. Time to fill her up... And no drippy-drippy. What are you rolling? Whippets? Goof balls? A little wowie sauce with the boys?
Its could be soundwave. The three blue Cheatplates could make the chestplate of soundwave like in the cartoon. The head looks soundwaveish, and the "sonic-emitter plates" would be kind of neat plus it would give us a reason why he is called soundwave. But i could be wrong
ReplyDelete...I'm not on any drugs.
ReplyDeleteLOL.
I had to say it. So how did this guy get a model before it was even mass produced??? I don't think this is Soundwave. And the Teaser/Trailer will prove it. If he even shows his face in it!

ReplyDeleteAs if it was the first time... Before TF Animated started being mass-produced there were a dozen or so fans what had them earlier... Models stolen away from the factory...
And apart from that, seriously you think that anybody made at least 3 identical, false models of Soundwave'a, in order then to say "Ha-ha, I fooled you"?

That to me looks way more satellite-like.
"That to me looks way more satellite-like."
ReplyDeleteFor me it looks like cosmic piece of junk xP And what for you look like a satellite, doesn'ta have to for Cybertronians ;)
