In the background you have the returning Autobots from the first movie, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Ratchet. Then beneath then in vehicle mode are the various cars that have been spotted on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen sets over the last few months plus a new one. From left to right, the Chevy Beat (Skids), Chevy Trax (unknown), Corvette Centennial (Sideswipe), three RetroSBK bikes (Arcee) and no clue what the purple car behind the bikes are.
Arcee's alt mode being comprised of three separate components have yet to be proven but the three bikers have been spotted on TF sets several times and now being used in a cover that is made up entirely of Autobots seems to be further confirmation of her alt mode. As for that purple car, not a clue. It could be a character created specifically for the comic book or a car that wasn't spotted on the sets but is in the movie. As usual time will tell.
Transformers: Alliance mini-series issue 1 comes out later this month and issue 4 is out in March. Check your local comic book stores about getting the mini-series.
First post!
ReplyDeleteNice cover. As for the purple car, I'm thinking it could be they Chevy Volt. I know GM said it wouldn't be an alt mode, but the fact that they took it to several shooting locations makes me doubt that.
I agree. I think it's the Chevy Volt too. I just spent the last hour going through the previous months' blogs (I knew I had seen that purple car before), and I found it in the Aug. 28th blog. It's the Volt. It's funny, because the GM reps were totally denying it was an alt.
ReplyDeleteWhat if the purple car (Volt) is Elita One? And the three bikes are the other female autobots?
ReplyDeleteI think it is a possibility. After all, why would Arcee be three shades of pink/purple?

Elita One: NO! We don't need another love story especially between bots. We already have the stupid human love story.
The motor cycles I assume would form into one robot, namely Arcee. I like to think of them as the "Arcee 3" (if that's who they are). The colors I assume (again) would be to identify each of them if they transformed to bots seperately and to avoid confusion as to where each one is on the "gestalt" or "combiner" if in fact she is one.
I like this cover a lot, but what's the pyramid in the background for? 0_o
ReplyDeleteThat's the Chevy Bolt
ReplyDeleteummm eut if the purple chevy is a newer verison of the pink ice-cream truck......
ReplyDeleteeut* wut
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome cover!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anyone has considered this, but what if the reddish-coloured Chevrolet Trax is Cliffjumper? They are both small, chubby, and reddish in colour. Cliffjumper seems to be one of the core characters of Genreation One...kinda', so he seems a logical choice to me.
To Tyler:
ReplyDeleteThe Cliffjumper theory for the Trax has been mentioned before. It would make a lot of sense to do that, but we'll know for sure in a few months.
To the anonymous who mentioned the pyramids:
Some of the last filming Bay & Co. did was in Egypt. I also know that some of the desert scenes shot in the States will be used as the Middle East in the movie.
After seening the Volt in Real Life its not really purple, but has a slight purple tent to it. And thats a promise, Its just a deep blue.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has seen the New Lexus iS F?
Here is a link. To give you an idea of the color of the Volt. Its pretty Spot on close to the same color.
http://www.edmunds.com/lexus/isf/2008/index.html
anyway nice to see the volt is something.
As I said before That car Appeared in Long Beach in the middle of all the fighting.
I think it comes in to save the day.
Yep, pretty sure that's the Chevy Volt. As Ranger said, it's not exactly purple and not exactly blue, little of both, probably some iridescent gradient (which would look really snazzy). Obviously the cover is just a cheeky shot from the hip to tease and tantalize us with more awesome stuff to come. Gonna be an exciting 2009!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely the Volt. But to me, I can't tell if it's blue, purple, or indigo. What color was the one on the set?

i really agree with you! it would cool to see her. oh and we dont have to have a bot love story. this is not G1. we can live without. shes just a cool character. plus, they did say that there would be more autobots. it makes sense.
awww man... autobots with pyramids... how cool is that? awesomeness!!!
ReplyDeleteThis can't be all the Autobots could it???
ReplyDeleteI saw the Chevy Volt at the L.A. Auto Show last month. Pretty nice ride.
ReplyDeleteWhy is everyone so focused on the Volt/purple car? Ya'll need to focus on the autobots that are really going to transform our world, and the sequel: Sideswipe, the Twins, and Jetfire.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing concept drawings of Sideswipe on this site earlier in the year, and he looked BADASS!!! I thought he was going to be a Decepticon, and his name was Stinger; its nice to know an Autobot can look good with a Decepticon look.
I think the Twins are going to be like Jazz and Bumblebee from the first movie; transformers with a hip-hop style and a sense of humor.
Jetfire. HOLY CRAP!!! He is an SR-71. I saw a concept image of him on Flickr, and he looked awesome. A rumor that was going around was he would combine with Optimus Prime. I can't wait to see him fight Starcream; Starscream doesn't stand a chance. A real life fact about the Sr-71 I heard and I think a lot of people don't know and find interesting; at full speed (Mach 3) it would fly 280 miles just to turn 180 degrees.
One more thing about the Volt/purple car; he cannot be Cliff Jumper. Cliff Jumper was in the Revenge of the Fallen prequel comic, Reign of Starscream. Just like a lot of the characters in the prequel comic, and a lot of the movie toys, he cannot/will not be in the movie. You have to read the comic, and you will understand why I say Cliff Jumper cannot be in the movie.
just a theory: the 3 motorcycles might combine with the purple car to form a larger robot maybe arcee
ReplyDeleteFew things are not right on this cover. Colors of chevrolet Volt and those RetroSBK bikes are wrong. Chevrolet Volt should be blue and colors of RetrpSBK bikes should be one is purple, one is red and one is black.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Egypt must be very important part of this movie. Some rumors say that The Fallen might apprenace in ROTF movie at Egypt. The Fallen's appreance is confirmed. Remember cover of Allianc #1. Maybe The Fallen was prisoned somewhere in Egypt and he wants to revenge. That must be movie's story. In The War Within: The Dark Ages commic he was prisoned to other dimension and when Optimus prime and Megatron falled to space bridge, The Fallen was freed. This movie movie must have nearly similar story.
ReplyDeleteHey, wait a minute. I was right. That car is Chevrolet Volt. Only colors of RetroSBK bikes were wrong. That sunlight colored Volt look like purple though it's indigo. I use word 'indigo' now. I'm now 100 % sure that Chevrolet Volt is not normal blue.
ReplyDeleteSo no one know if this will be all the autobots???
ReplyDeleteTo anonymous who said the color of the motorcylces was wrong, they aren't. If you watch the on the set feature you can see all three bikes, which are blue, purple, and pink. They seem to be chasing the new Audi.
ReplyDeleteCooooooooooooooool!
ReplyDeleteNice post mate!
ReplyDeleteIndeed I believe Egypt will be important in ROTF.
Arcee will most likely not be composed of three bikes and a car, she is rather small (about the size of three combined bikes I'd guess) if you check the comics.
Can we who do not live in the states and probably won't see this Alliance-series in our stores in a few months, hope for a review with some nice pics and info from it as soon as you get your hands on it?
One special note of thought that hit me was whether the finacial crisis would affect this movie and any possible sequal/sequals.
I heard that GM are having such a big crisis that they might become bankrupt in a few weeks.
Those colors are wrong just as I say. In shooting there was used one purple bike, one red bike and one black bike. Go to check out yourself!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen on shooting blue or pink bike. That's why I don't believe those bikes have real colors on that cover!
ReplyDeletebit off but: all countructicons will have robot modes or just the vehicles will combine to devastator. anyway its interesting that we didnt saw any constructicon vehicles on set...
ReplyDelete"Anonymous said....A real life fact about the Sr-71 I heard and I think a lot of people don't know and find interesting; at full speed (Mach 3) it would fly 280 miles just to turn 180 degrees."
ReplyDeleteThat's because if the SR-71 were to make a short & sweet turn at that speed it would rip it apart (but you probably knew that already). I've seen the SR-71 a few times at air shows when I lived in Cali (when I was a kid) and that thing was freakin' loud when it did fly-by's. The ground would shake from the sound waves (or at least that's what it felt like from what I remember). It was just awesome seeing, hearing and feeling it going as fast as it did. It's one of my favorite planes and I'm glad I got to experience seeing it fly in person before it got retired.
(not sure if they still fly it at air shows just for show..??)
The SR-71 Blackbird is primarily a stealth bomber. It's not designed for close quarters combat like the F14a and F16 fighter jets. That's why it can't do spin-on-a-dime 180 degree turns; most high-speed bombers with heavy long-range missiles and bombs are simply not designed for such uses.
ReplyDeleteIts main defense tactic against surface-to-air missiles is to simply accelerate beyond Mach 3, far faster than any missile can approach without burning up from massive heat.
Most of you probably didn't watch the VGAs on Sunday but there was a surprise appearance by Megan Fox and man was that amazing! I never saw it coming and I normally know when she on a show, because I usually end up watching it just for that, but I think thats news worthy since we haven't had any news lately
ReplyDeleteGO MEGAN FOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The SR-71 was never meant to be a stealth bomber it was a reconnaissance aircraft.
ReplyDeleteWhoops! My bad. Sorry about that. Yes, that's correct. Recon craft for stealth intelligence gathering missions.
ReplyDeleteRepeat after me:
ReplyDeleteVolt. Chevrolet Volt.
that's V-O-L-T.
By the way, Egypt must be very important part of this movie. Some rumors say that The Fallen might apprenace in ROTF movie at Egypt.
ReplyDelete... so long as they don't go with some BS like the Transformers built the pyramids, I really don't care much.
YOU! I didn't talk about that transformers can build pyramids. I talked only about The Fallen's appreance. I have no idea which is his alternate mode in ROTF movie or is he flaming transformer like in Transformers: The War Within comics, but only thing that has released about his robot mode is his eyes.
ReplyDeleteAnd those eyes are not similar than other transformers. The Fallen is one of 13 first transformers. They look like different than Autobots or Decepticons.
ReplyDeleteYOU! I didn't talk about that transformers can build pyramids.
ReplyDeleteSo they can't build a pyramid? They must be bloody stupid then :P
"So they can't build a pyramid? They must be bloody stupid then :P"
ReplyDeleteThey can only build a cube!!!
HAHAHAHHAHHAH!!
Get it? Cube? Ha.. ha....he..
Cue..Crickets.....;I
Arcee isn't anymore only combination of thre motorcyclces. Every bike is separate Autobot. I'm definitely sure that pink one is Arcee, but my theory is that Chromia is blue one, but I'm not sure who that purple is, but it can't be Elita 1, because he was killed by Decepticons in Reign of Starscream comics, when they drained her spark with sparks of Grindcore, Crankcase, Warpath and Signal Flare into a new Allspark, but plan failed, because though sparks and information in Frenzy's body were loaded into a new Allspark, it new Allspark didn't work.
ReplyDeleteThe red and green car are brothers. the green one is skids and the red one is mudflap not cliffjumper
ReplyDeleteYes the green one is skids red is Mudflap and they are brothers, but at the begining of the film they both combine as the ice cream truck.
ReplyDeletethe Chevrolet Volt is an Autobot named Jolt he weilds electric wips and has a love for earth nature (hence eco friendly car).
No these aren't the only Autobots Jetfire is in it but he is very old even has a robot cane, Wheelie a deceptitcon traitor joins them he is a RC mostor truck.
Arcee is the pink one the blue motorcycle is Chromia and the purple is Elita 1 their sister but they can combine but i'm guessing theyhave their own personalities
as an add on for jetfire.he can actually warp through huge distances. in the movie he teleported sam mikala, simmons wheelie bumblebee mudflap skids and himself from washington dc to the sahara desert
ReplyDeleteyo guys the red car is mudflap the purple car wich is supposed to be blue is jolt and there is sideswipe and there is arcee chromia and flareup
ReplyDeletetheres all autobots. pyramids cause' they were fighting in egypt
ReplyDeletemegatron sideways devastator starscream the fallen demolisher grindor blackout scorponok bonecrusher brawl barricade mixmaster longhaul hightail optimus prime bumblebee ratchet ironhide jazz(died) skids and mudflap (the twins)sideswipe arcee chromia flareup wheelie jetfire jolt, seymour simmons sam witwicky mikeala banes leo spitz captain william lennox sergeant raymond epps and a whole bunch of other people
