TF08.net again, this time with the full robot mode of the Deluxe class of Sideswipe, rather then just the head, for the Transformers 2 toy line. The design does close match the robot mode that was revealed a few months back. So far it’s just the one picture by I imagine more will show up soon. Very slick looking. Ok, for the last time..THIS ISN'T G1! Just because Tracks was a Corvette (a '69 Corvette at that) doesn't mean the Corvette in the new movie should be named Tracks. So get over it and just enjoy what the new Sideswipe looks like. Are you one of the people who bitched when Bumblebee was a Camaro and not a VW? Some people just go to far with this crap.
Actually, cypherXR brought up a good point I wanted to get to. I really don't like names that sound too simple: "Tracks, Jolt".
ReplyDeleteI love names that sound cool and awesome: "Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Sideswipe, Ironhide, Cliffjumper, Ultra Magnus" = strong firm positive role models.
As well as: "Megatron, Starscream, Devastator, Frenzy, Barricade, Dirge, Thundercracker" = oppressive anarchical negative characters. SO COOL when imagining Megatron saying them in a low throaty voice.
While I understand some people love their G1 name, I just think some of them are plain goofy and would love to see names that make sense and sound cool on the big screen. That's just me, I hope some of you agree.

They're not even wheels. They're interpretations that are molded to look like whatever form they scanned. His feet are feet when they are feet. They won't roll unless he wants them to.

Please Mr. Bay listen to your fans on this one. I really really dont want to see 2 stupid Autobots. I Guess its nice to want a movie like this to have some funny moments, But Anthany Andersons profile was a waste of money in the last one. So was the Blond chick. Its nice to have 2 autobots, but give them a more serious roll, This is a movie about a war, I dont want to see Jar Jar in war again. Just not my cup of tea.

I am also not happy with the name Jolt being one of the Autobots. Just not. But I guess hes G-2, G-3 or whatever, I would have prefured Bluestreak, or better yet. I would have loved Prowl. Just a Character they really left out.

Two of my favorite things. Sideswipe and his vehicle mode, a corvette! Sideswipe is a toy I have to get for my B-day.

PS. I know that the information about Sideswipe has been out for a while, But is this really his name for the movie?? Nothing Offical has been shown. Not Printed documents have been shown that this is actully Sideswipe. It was some confrence where it was talked about from what I heard.
I would also ask anyone to show the Proof that this is the actully name of this autobot? Because I have only seen what was written on the boards, Not like the Volt, who really had the name JOLT written on the box.

You make a valid point. Who knows if this really is Sideswipe? Apparently the picture is a cut out of the box, but as you said it does not show his name of the character as the character Jolt has had his name shown.

But yes the car name has never been officaly Named or shown. The first poster is correct it could really be any named autobot. I am sticking the the fact that this could be Wheeljack.

I would like it to be Sideswipe, but somehow it just does not fit with the other 2 being the twins. Until I see his name on a package I will remain indifferent of this chararcters name.
