GM held a press conference today at the Detroit Auto Show and official revealed the 4 concept cars and their character names that were used in the movie. A sneak peak video/commercial that shows off the cars as used in the movie is here. Five Chevrolet-based characters – including four all-new characters – are featured in the new film set to open in the United States on June 26. All of them are at the Chevrolet display. ReplyDeleteI think Ratchet is dead. Prolly killed in the beginning of the movie. There haven't been many pics or video of him at any site. Wouldnt be surprised if movie opens up with the fight at the steel plant, and Soundwave makes his presence known by destroying Ratchet.
1st full trailer out at the beginning of FRIDAY THE 13th. supposed to be online a few days after that, see if Ratchet is in any of those clips.

ReplyDeleteAnyone think that the Volt looks a little to plain to be a robot? He looks like an average sedan, except for the back, and is kinda boring with that one tone blue. Oh, and if Ratchet is seen discovering Jetfire at the Smithsonian, then how would he be killed off early? I doubt the Smith scene is the first in the movie.

1. Sideswipe without sunstreaker is just not right. its like his other soul will be missing.
2. I dont know of any other twins then Sideswipe and sunstreaker. I can live with Mudflap and skids, But to me they should have been Cliffjumper or windcharger, and Brawn.
3. Volt? Should have been Bluestreak.
Yes i am what you people call a Gwwooner or whatever. But I can live with Names that I grew up with and or names of Real Characters. Its great to see the Story and they deep History of the robots, but the lore when it comes to characters is not right. I can live without the right colors and type of cars, but Please keep to the character lore.
Just having Sideswipe and Sunstreaker not in the same movie, just bugs me more. and calling the other guys twins. Sorry But Mudsucker and Skids are not the twins.

I know this is only my personal opinion, but to me I feel let down on the character names. Who knows maybe at the end of the movie all kinds of Autobots will be in it. Everyone from Prowl to Inferno. at some climatic battle. Even if their is simple hints to the characters like they did in X-men. They were not main, but they gave them thir full respect.
Sorry for ranting, I must be on my TF PMS trip right now about the names. I guess I never heard of Mudflap and Jolt is made up. I am ok with Skids, but I can live with Jolt and Mudflap and no Sunstreaker. I feel we are cheated out of the correct lore.

ReplyDeleteI agree Carl. How can there be a Sideswipe, but no Sunstreaker? That's just weird. They're ready made twins! I was hoping for their antics. I have no idea how the Autobots will take on the Decepticons, when most of the Autobots are smaller than Jazz was, and he was tiny. I'm glad for Jetfire, and stuff, but we need bigger Autobots. Maybe they have some cool firepower or some ninja moves or something that'll make up for it. Rachet dying, noooooooooooooooo! Kill the expendables! This movie will still be cool though. I'll be there opening night!

I have to say that I have high hopes for this movie. my only hope is that it doesn't turn into a super "combiner" Transformer movie by the third edition, but I like where it is going for sure. By the way, What ever happened to the Saab Aero-X being in this movie or was that just rumor only? Because that car would have fit perffect in this movie, even better if it was Wheeljack.

I mean, they have 3 formidable bots: Optimus, Ironhide and Ratchet(who may be killed early on)and Sideswipe and Bumblebee to a lesser extent. The rest are just pretty much useless pieces of scrap metal because as it seems in the transformers universe, size does matter.

Hopefully it will be leaked early in the morning so we can all discuss about it. If it is not leaked by Saturday then it was confirmed that one website would have it up on monday. Hello people. I have to admit, this ad looks great, to see all the Autobots rolling out.

We see Ratchet at the end with Sideswipe & Jolt, so he'll be in the movie, but I have a feeling that he will die, along with Wheelie, Jolt, probably one of the Twins and possibly Jetfire(because he is old).
Maybe there is a reason that they didn't have Sunstreaker in this one. Hasbro are the ones who get to choose who can come in the live action movies, so the Autobots we have are purely down to Hasbro, not Michael Bay.
Most likely we will see more Autobots, it's just at the moment we're not seeing all of them, so let's wait until the movie comes out to see who will be there.
Insider scoop, Sunsteaker is in the movie, Just he dont make it to earth with the rest of the guys. And sideswipes anger does show up in his personality. 8( Also we will see a few more Autobots, Just small hints but they dont last long. 8(

Bay saved 3 million dollars on TF1's movie budget cause he used GM vehicles. 3 million is nothing when it comes to movies. It is almost becoming a Buy American movie. o.O

Ok guys, i saw Transformers 2 on monday june 22 (lastnight) in a premier activity, damn!! was amazing, an explosion package of sound, battle scenes, Matrix Effects, transforms, in this movie they bring Soundwave w/ Frenzy and Ravage, the enormous Jetfire (cool toy in Generation 1 Transformers), The Primes History, Who is the Fallen one and his Origin, Talk about the Matrix, Constructicons anWOW!!!!! DEVASTATOR (THIS SCENE WAS SO SO SO AMAZING)...guys Optimus Prime die in this movie but he reborn later at the end thnks 2 Sam and gain super powerfull energy with the energon and decepticon matrix of Jetfire and Old Decepticon that change to autobot, bringin' Optimus a Unique Force & Power...really guys this movie won't let you sleep for hours, i still amaze with the quantity and Quality of effects and scenes. It has a lot of Comedy too, drama, sexy scenes. You wont regret..i promess. And of course at the end...obviously 1 3rd one will come.

just saw tranformers 2 and i give it a 6 out of 10. the battles just wern't as epic as in the first movie. oh and someone fill me in on all those other transformers movies cause half of the names u guys said i didn't follow. the only other autobot from the caetoon sereies that i know is hotshot?? like waht the hell happened to him in the cartoon sereies i never finished watching the episode where they get attacked and he has to fight megatron or starscream.
