Complete Audi Chase Clip, More Screenshots
Below is a clip from Kevin (thanks!) where he combined the Audi chase sequence from the first trailer with the additional footage from the ShoWest montage to create a full sequence. In addition are a few more screenshots to join the previous batch from the montage that shows off character faces and a bit more. Thanks to Dave, Eugene, Asri, and Simon.

Awesome 1st comment i thought that they were combined scenes
ReplyDeleteThat clip is hot as shit!!! Lol and the music reminds me of that show CHIPS for some reason
ReplyDeletebut wat i wanna know if there combined scenes how did Chromia get tothe other side so fast someone please help me answer that i mean she didnt go thru the glass with sideways or did she??
ReplyDeleteWow more firsties on here, how lame...why does bay want optimus to get his ass whooped in this trilogy??? one punch doesnt do much for him in one scene...
ReplyDeleteYou could clearly see Blackout, and for the idiots that say he is not coming back and that it must be another robot because the propeler is too small to be a choper's you are a bunch of idiots because he doesnt use his back propelers the ones he has on his back, he uses the back propelers from the choper if you see it in the first movie when he is going to attack Optimus he is still has his back propelers, or they could have been damaged in battle, but you could clearly see Blackout
ReplyDeleteMy God, can we please get some pics that aren't blurry and pixelated?
ReplyDeletethis is so wierd it looks like bumble bee in the biulding but its sideswipe i dont understand this...it culd be the fire from the explosion tho
ReplyDeletei wish we cud anonymous but wats weird is that when u see sideways crash throught the window, its like you see bb or some explosion i cant figure it out
ReplyDeletesrry SIDEWAYS im so stuped lol
ReplyDeletei think its funny how jetfire is an old fart lol i just hope he can still kick ass, bcuz otherwise there screwed with megs, fallen, and devastator and the autobots got to idiots (skids+mudflap lol), a heroic leader and other loyal soldiers and a rusty crusty old fart i dnt see how they win this battle :(
ReplyDeletehey has any1 looked at jetfire theroly... he looks 2 hav another face on the lower part of his waist
ReplyDeleteno wat r u talking about he dnt have 2 fricken faces hes just an old fart once again lol ;)
ReplyDeletei rele think tht there will b DINOBOTS in TF2 bcuz as i was looking at the pix of wat was b-hind the painting, i noticed 2 skulls. 1 of wich looked like som sort of dragon and the other looks like a triceratops. its very interesting.
ReplyDeleteidk bcuz in announcment waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in octiber, Bay said that he dosent like dinobots and wouldntwant them in a movie, he said ,"i dnt c the point in having dinosaur transformers i mean a dino really??" i want UNICRON
ReplyDeleteALL HAIL MEGATRON!!!
well thts true wat RY sed but still, theres proof tht there is a dinosour skull inside the panting, u cant denie it
ReplyDeleteif thats blackout were r his back proppelers, i personally hop its springer but i dnt think it is bcuz he looks to close to Black out :(
ReplyDeleteummmmmmmmmm actually anonymous you can denie it i dnt see shit b-hind that wall
ReplyDeleteHey Mixmaster could have gone up there by just climbing up there like you could do it the game, but what if its not mixmaster I havent heard they wete filming in NYC or I would have gone see any scene or something cuz I live on Queens, what If its just a scene on how there had been several decepticon attacks on the planet Earth it doesn't has to be a main TF
ReplyDeleteThe one jumping upside down with the folded wings is Breackway at least thats what I think
You could clearly see Blackout, and for the idiots that say he is not coming back and that it must be another robot because the propeler is too small to be a choper's you are a bunch of idiots because he doesnt use his back propelers the ones he has on his back, he uses the back propelers from the choper if you see it in the first movie when he is going to attack Optimus he is still has his back propelers,I could see one of them but not all or they could have been damaged in battle, but you could clearly see Blackout
srry RY but Springer is an Autobot why would he be fighting Prime, it would be nice to see Springer but Blackout was also cool want him back :)
ReplyDeleteRY u hav 2 look closer
ReplyDeletenope but it would be cool to see an autobot switch sides like SPRINGER possibley, cuz jetfire betrayed the decepts and it wud be like spriger betrayed th autobots
ReplyDeleteyeah Wheelie is already doing that but he is really crappy n a coppy of Wall-e
ReplyDeletebut if the proppelers were damaged in battle and they fell off he wouldnt be able to transformer he would fall out of the sky.
ReplyDeleteno I mean the small propelers I havent seen him using them, if they spin so fast wouldn't they brake??? all I have seen him cut is a car n thats it, what if Optimus brakes them or something
ReplyDeleteya a reallllly sucky copy of wall-e
ReplyDeleteya im gonna go play TF vid game and kill brawl, and then be sad how i have to wait 2 months 4 ROTF vid game i reserved by
ReplyDeleteblackout used his small propeller in the first movie in the final battle... he cut through a biulding and a car...
ReplyDeleteVideo: That. Was. Awesome!
ReplyDeletePicture 1: I like how Optimus focuses all of his attention (and weaponry) on Megatron, while he completely disregards Starscream on his other side. Do you guys think that Starscream has voice his hatred of Megatron yet? Or is he still acting like he follows Megatron? If this scene takes place in the beginning or middle, then maybe at the end of the film is when Megatron is fighting Starscream on the top of the building? Does anyone know WHERE this was filmed / takes place?
Picture 2: For Pete’s sake, Starscream! Stop spitting! It’s bad enough that there’s a character in this scene named Leo SPITZ, but I think that you can at least swallow it.
Picture 3: I hope that Optimus gets more than 1 punch on Megatron. I’d like to see a barrage of Optimus’ fists. (Or at least a better OP vs. MG fight scene than the first film.)
Picture 4: I’m hoping for Optimus’ sake (and for the other Autobot’s screen-time sake) than Prime has backup. Ooh! I’d love for Ironhide, Ratchet, Sideswipe (or any combination of those guys) to also be in the fight!
Picture 5: In the words of Jemaine of ‘Flight of the Conchords’: ‘Your beard is good.” Please, Michael Bay; if Jetfire is physically disabled in some way, (the cane) and he is forgetful, please just also have him be a good fighter! Kill Scorponok, or fight Starscream, combine with Prime or something that will make people say “HECK YEAH!”
Picture 6: Oh, Optimus. Getting your butt whooped again. But this time, with close-ups! :D (See “Picture 4”) Once again, I’m iffy about the ‘tooth’ thing, though. On the VFX side, it’s nice to see more interaction with the environment: splintering wood, dirt explosions, etc. (I smell an Oscar…nomination. (I would’ve said ‘Award’, but if the first film didn’t win, the second film won’t. )
Your thoughts?
when did he cuted through a building???
ReplyDeletein the final battle in the first movie... well rele it was a huge glass window on a biulding but som bricks fell...
ReplyDeleteoooh ok I know that part
ReplyDeleteDoes somebody else sees Breakway the one jumping upside down with the folded wings???
"Does somebody else sees Breakway the one jumping upside down with the folded wings???"
ReplyDeleteThat's Sideswipe.
the one jumping upside down is sideswipe
ReplyDeletei just relized on the ROTF game site, they have a pix of the robot everyone thinks is blackout there extrememly identical
ReplyDelete@ RY:
ReplyDeleteIf you ever had the DieCast Blackout figure, you'd see that he doesn't have his back propellors, and has small propellors in his hand. Who else could it be, really? In every angle of that picture on the ROTF site, I see Blackout's features. It's gotta be Blackout, dude.
in the showest footage in the forest, its Optimus vs Megatron, Starscream and Blackout! How is Prime supposed to win that battle? with Sam as his sidekick????
ReplyDeleteand in the warehouse scene its Prime vs Megatron and Starscream! I mean wtf. get the autobot some help.
ReplyDeleteGive the Autbot some help? That would mean the Autbots actually got screen time! ;)
ReplyDeleteSorry. "Autobots".
ReplyDeleteMaybe Ironhide or Ratchet or Sideswipe is off screen trying to slow down Starscream or Blackout?
we better hope so or it's bye bye Prime.
ReplyDeleteThe autobots only hope in ROTF is JETFIRE. I know we have so many negative thoughts about him right now, but in due time you will see what Bay has stored for us. This movie will be worth the wait!! Jetfire may be an
ReplyDelete"old-fart", but he knows how to perform during battle better than any autobot I'm sure, he is an experienced veteran, and will kick major ass.
People have ALWAYS loved the concept of the hero being victorious against all odds. Survival stories have always been a hit. This is no different. It makes for a much more interesting movie if the Autobots seemed hopelessly outnumbered and have to overcome to win, rather than a movie where they are both even.
ReplyDelete@ Mcat
ReplyDeleteand in the warehouse scene its Prime vs Megatron and Starscream! I mean wtf. get the autobot some help.
I dont know if its the same warehouse, but it looks like the scene with Bumblebee crashing through the wall might be the same location.
Where is Ratchet? Or Barricade? Or any of the other robots still missing. Oh and if you look at the trailer where Megatron kicks Optimus towards screen you will see he lands ontop of Sam LOL Bad editing or what :)
ReplyDeleteThe only problem with this film is that anyone who made the CGI Models could make this film by themselves as the rest of the work is suprisingly simple and you could easily copy a car bieng flipped into a computer if you can do a giant robot.
I like how Chromia was shooting and then desides to just slap him in that video. haha
ReplyDeleteBad news guys.
ReplyDeleteMichael Bay has removed Optimus' faceplate.
Has the blog owner posted this picture yet?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/accardi1/3096642994/
It seems that every soundwave toy review has not shown this alternate form. I remember seeing the back of his packaging and showing his alt mode looking quite different though.
soundwave is old news. even this alt mode.
ReplyDeleteI think that it's not really SPIT Starscream has. My theory is that he's sort of resurfaced from water or has been splashed recently, so that's water pouring out from openings. I don't think that a reasonably solid transformer, no matter how angry, would start foaming lubricant at the mouth. XD
ReplyDeleteSo we've got oil, lubricant, and water as possible liquids for the TFs.
This movie is going to be tight. XD
@Scorpio, You obviously have never worked with CGI before. These are not simple models and no, not everyone can make them with their home computer. Anyone an make a simple CGI at home, but making it look realistic in a live scene is a whole lot more complex. Those models were EXTREMELY costly to do by ILM. And even if you did have the computer hardware to pull off models that complex at home, you definitely would not be able to render the scenes. ILM would have just under a hundred (maybe more) high performance nodes in a render farm and it took them 35 hours per frame for the most complex scenes. Your home computer would take several days per frame to complete.
ReplyDelete@Steelwave, no ... that is spit. They tried to add more human characteristics to the Transformers. Are you saying that Bumblebee resurfaced from water or has been splashed recently and that is just water pouring out of his openings? From his eyes and at the same time he is being sad and making crying noises? No, it was spit coming from Starscreams mouth.
ReplyDeleteYeah i just noticed that when "the doctor" is on top of sam puttin that stuff in his mouth that megatron is the one holding him down...
ReplyDelete@anonymous Well, that clip of Bee could be him using his lubricant to produce a crying effect (he's had experience using it =P). I didn't say the water theory applied to him, in any case, but I still think Starscream is either spraying lubricant 'spittle' or resurfacing from somewhere very wet.
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, it's really a very minor thing with me compared to GIANT ROBOT ACTION. XD
has anyone noticed that the building that Sideways jumps into, while running from the bikes, looks exactly the same as the one he comes crashing out of? The same neon type of lights, red lights on lower left, # of a/c units to the right of the window, utility pole to the right of the building, # of a/c units on the adjacent wing of the building on the right.
ReplyDeleteand there is also the same clothesline that has the same towel hanging on the right side of the window. Also, when he goes into the building, the end of the building is on the left of the screen. When he comes out, it is still on the left of the building.
ReplyDeleteits just the beginning of the same scene, lol
ReplyDeleteA few things I've noticed while watching the trailer frame by frame.
ReplyDelete1. Yes Blackout is standing there when Megs kicks Optimus through the field at 2:09. Starscream is also there at this point.
2. The transformer that is on top of the bridge at 2:02 looks to me to be Soundwave. Just based of of the outline, and shape of the "wing" looking things on his back when he is in robot mode.
3. When there are two transformers fighting on top of the building at 2:19. It is clearly Megs taking down another robot, but to me it looks like it is Starscream. he has the same reverse jointed arms like Starscream and this could be Megatron putting Starcream in his place.
Anyone else see this?
Yeah, I think there's more to this scene than what we are seeing and the final cut won't look like this footage. They might go into the building, do some fighting and stuff, and then come back out the way they came in. The part we see inside the building with the 2 guys might be part of going in or coming out or something completely different that they spliced in to make it look interesting. I guess we won't know until we see the final cut.
ReplyDelete@Scorpio
ReplyDelete"Where is Ratchet? Or Barricade? Or any of the other robots still missing."
You don't think they are gonna reveal EVERYTHING, do you?
^ Aye, Rob.
ReplyDeleteRob,
ReplyDeleteThat's Mixmaster on top of the bridge - I think.
@Steelwave, no ... that is spit. They tried to add more human characteristics to the Transformers. Are you saying that Bumblebee resurfaced from water or has been splashed recently and that is just water pouring out of his openings? From his eyes and at the same time he is being sad and making crying noises? No, it was spit coming from Starscreams mouth.
ReplyDeleteThe water from bumblebee is just his windshield wiper water. Nothing 'human' about it. Just a little joke.
Anyone else notice that they used the Transformer Sound when Sidewipe transformed?
I hope they apply it to every transformer. That's one thing I missed in TF1, except for the Blackout Scene.
It is Mixmaster. You can see the two wheels on each arm, just like the picture of the toy. Also, the 'wings' on his back are parts of the drum that mixes concrete.
ReplyDeleteThey use the sound pretty much every time an autobot or decepticon transformed in the first movie - you just can't really hear it sometimes.
ReplyDeleteIn the footage, sideswipe doesn't transform though. where did u see it?
@Anon 9:15am
ReplyDelete"ILM would have just under a hundred (maybe more) high performance nodes in a render farm and it took them 35 hours per frame for the most complex scenes. Your home computer would take several days per frame to complete."
I would guess it's 35 hours per machine per frame. Bay said some of the new footage takes 5 days per frame for Devastator.
Let's say for shiznits and giggles that they have 100 machines. There are 24 frames per second of film, so at 5 days per frame they could render about.....dang too much math.....about 1.66 seconds of footage a day? But I'm assuming that's only for Devs......at the standard frame per 35 hours, they would still get like 3 to 5 seconds of footage a day (depending on how big the render farm really is). That's not much. For some reason I think Bay is majorly exaggerating on those figures.
This was on Michael Bay's website today:
ReplyDelete"The Showest footage was pulled down because it was just a 12-hour thing.
I just wanted the fans to get a taste of what we have been making for a year and a half because we have been so quiet. The piece was cut about a month ago for this Showest thing I accepted this past month - so as you can see many of the shots were far from being finished renders. This dinky little site received over 1,500,000 hits and 550,000 downloads in this short time. Anyway the trailer is being printed today and coming out on Wolverine and Star Trek. 64 days left!"
Michael
I have the feeling the new trailer won't be much different than what we saw at the showest footage. but like i said to someone earlier, you can still see the video of the footage here:
http://www.slashfilm.com
ILM would have at least 2000 nodes, not 100. with 100 you would get nothing done.
ReplyDeletea node being some "cheap" pc workstation.
so for giggles again, my sloppy math gives me 121 seconds a day.
That seems more realistic. They are probably stripped down barebone workhorse machines built to do nothing but render. My guess is they have them in rack mounts or something.
ReplyDeletelol with the whole blackout arguement most chance its blackout, it looks identical to him, but if its not its not fair enough.
ReplyDeletei really hope that bay doesnt get rid of primes face plate, it looks awesome.
also i am slightly curious that there hasnt been alot of coverage on ratchet particularlly.i hope he doesnt disapear in the film or anything.
finally sideways scene looks class but want to see more detail of the bike sisters.
MAC
Here we have another of our good friendly websites TFW2005 providing us with an image of wheelies box. Apparently this little guy is on Ebay so if you want him go buy him.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attachment.php?do=fullview&attachmentid=17566
wheelie can stay on ebay. no thanks ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL my point is that nobody could have done this at home with their equipment like Scorpio suggested. LOL he made it sound like this is a basement hobbyist project and anyone can do it.
ReplyDeleteThe video isnt available in my country :/. Does someone have an alt. link?
ReplyDeleteAnd look at the forest pic, the transformer to the left looks very much like Blackout (the helicopter) from Transformers 1. Looks like he has the chopper blade on the arm too. But didnt he die?
again
ReplyDeletehttp://www.slashfilm.com
After the scene with Sam en Mikeala running and Sam grabs the Insecticon i hear something like "STUPID"...does anyone hear that 2?
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Holland :D
anon@2:33, this is the only time i will ever defend scorpio. and it embarrasses me to do so.
ReplyDeletebut, i think he was only trying to point out the real stars are the robots and action. theoretically then, a lone person behind a computer could be all the stars of the film.
if time wasn't an issue it would be true. but i think scorpio was only trying to make an abstract point.
When the car is being cut in half, if you slow it down to frame by frame you can see ramon in the back seat behind megan. he's also there because in the first teaser he is there with megan while shes yelling for him in the warehouse
ReplyDeletehttp://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attachment.php?do=fullview&attachmentid=17538
ReplyDeleteILM gets lazier and lazier. just look at the latest still.
"LOL my point is that nobody could have done this at home with their equipment like Scorpio suggested. LOL he made it sound like this is a basement hobbyist project and anyone can do it."
ReplyDeleteYeah, why pay ILM millions of dollars to do the CGI when joe blow can do it on his home PC?
Hey Scorp, why don't you render us a little 10 second scene that's as good quality as the movies just to prove your point?
"ILM gets lazier and lazier. just look at the latest still."
ReplyDeleteLOL!
Ok fine ... if Scorpio was trying to make an abstract point about the robots being the real stars, then that is the only way his post comes off as being non idiotic.
ReplyDeleteBut ... I don't think so, and I quote. "The only problem with this film is that anyone who made the CGI Models could make this film by themselves as the rest of the work is suprisingly simple and you could easily copy a car bieng flipped into a computer if you can do a giant robot.?"
Surprisingly simple? Anyone who has made CGI models? Easily copy a car being flipped? WTF?
Man another vid pulled by Paramount. They are getting worse than Prince with this Video thing.
ReplyDeletewhy you guys fighting over CGI???
ReplyDeleteDont mind scorpio hes just talking shit as always
ReplyDeletethier saying that scorpio was wrong for suggesting it is easy to animate the transformers, so stop defending him
ReplyDeleteThe only thing i have a problem with is that starscream and blackout are way too short, they look roughly the same height as megatron who inturn is the same height as optimus prime, being and F-22 and a MH-53 they should be atleast twice the size of Optimus prime.
ReplyDeleteScince thats the case they should have explained that they were mass shifters or something instead of making it look like the animators dont know what thier doing
Yeah good point the length of an MH 53 pave low the height alone is 25ft (alone nearly as tall as optimus prime) and the lenght is 88 ft. The F22 on has a height of 16 ft a wingspan of 44ft and a length of 62 ft.
ReplyDeleteWhere as a optimus prime in vehicle mode is about 10ft tall and about 20ft long a big difference
that Sideswipe will turn to a sleek Autobot fighter...
ReplyDeletebet Sideways will die by his hands...
"The only thing i have a problem with is that starscream and blackout are way too short, they look roughly the same height as megatron who inturn is the same height as optimus prime, being and F-22 and a MH-53 they should be atleast twice the size of Optimus prime."
ReplyDeleteUhhhhh......no.
http://www.transformersfans.com/wp-content/uploads/windowslivewriterexclusivephotooftransformersbbq-8230transformersfamilyphoto1.jpg
The F-22 is not twice the size of that truck. If prime's robot mode was a little taller than the length of vehicle mode, and will Starscream's chicken legs I think their robot heights are closer than you think.
@The Chat, he has a leg with an inverted knee, which makes him shorter by just looking at his legs. His top half also compress to make the chest wider, further shortening him. You are right ... Prim and Starscream should be about the same size. Prime has nothing to shorten his appearance ... he would be stretched out, making him taller while StarScreams transformation makes him short.
ReplyDeleteScorpio said..."Oh and if you look at the trailer where Megatron kicks Optimus towards screen you will see he lands ontop of Sam LOL Bad editing or what :)"
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you are being sarcastic, Scorpio. If you are, feel free to ignore my following explaination:
Well, I think that Bay/the cinematographer are trying to fool the audience into thinking "Oh, no! Sam has been squished!" (due to the angle of the camera). I bet the next shot in the film is Optimus turning over to view the advancing Decepticons, and looking down to see Sam lying on the ground, covered in dirt and/or injured, but safe. (Sam having JUST missed being squished; possibly by ducking into a crater or ditch)
:)
In the beginning of filming... If u go back to previous post.... A filming team was in NY with copters flying over BK Bridge...... anyway...Now where in that video is the combination.... to me it look the same as the showest fotage.... Which have sideways beginning his trasfomation with chromia shooting him before she trips... Judping tru the building and now the purple bike shooting him after..., I just don't see the combination thing..
ReplyDeleteOh ok.... Now I see the combination...LOL
ReplyDeleteGuys u won't belive this.... Please do exactly as I say... Download the showrdt video and watch it on ur ps3 in slow mo/ frame by frame...on the building is not starscream.... It's either the fallen and meg... Or jet fire and meg... If u look closely u'll see that meg is the one being pinned down... look at the ones feet on the ground.. It's threaded... 2 the one pinning meg down has a normal right hand... Megs right hand is claw like...... Meg left hand is a bony stick....mattet of fact it could even be starscream knocking him down.... All in all... MEGATRON IS THE ONE GETTING HIS ASS KICK ON THE ROOF.... look at that scene frame by frame if u doubt me
ReplyDelete"why you guys fighting over CGI???" -Punch
ReplyDeleteOk although I may sound a bit harsh but you guys really need to stop "criticising" about whether something is wrong with the movie. Although the part about Starscream's spit made me do 0_0,whether you can make those real bots' in the movie all by yourself,we need to think about what comments we put on this blog.
"The Showest footage was pulled down because it was just a 12-hour thing.

Michael
You keep rollin' Mr Bay.
I know many people here love Optimus but in terms of reality in the history of Transformers the Decepticons not only outnumber the Autobots but outgun them too. From what i can tell of the movie background Prime has spent years upgrading himself to be able to foght the likes of Megatron but still is nowhere near as strong. We all know Megatron was built to destroy. The fact Bay has addressed this is what makes these movies so exciting for me. True the Autobots are the good guys and should win out in the end but in a fist fight with larger decepticons they pretty much should get their asses kicked including Prime. They have been forced into fighting not built for it like the Decepticons, it stands to reason that they cannot fight as well as them.
ReplyDeleteIt's true the Autobots have always been outgunned. But that is not the main reason why they are outgunned here. Michael Bay makes movies that sell tickets, and the concept of the hero being victorious against seemingly impossible odds has ALWAYS won people over. The movie would definitely not be as interesting if both sides were even.
ReplyDeletein regards to rooftop image...
ReplyDeleteNO NO meg is the one being held down...meg right hand is a crab like claw thing,,,that rooftop image clearly shows a long arm similar to either jetfire,,or starscream,,,,all in all..megatron is the one begin pinned down..look at his threaded feeet
I will be surprised if the Autobots actually win in this movie, my guess is that they will have to retreat in the end and call for backup.
ReplyDeletefootage == pure awesomeness.
hey idiots there are no dinobots in the sequel
ReplyDelete
