Activision has released the full list of playable characters for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game.Autobots:

Based on the screenshot (above), I guess Seeker is really Skywarp and they couldn't use that name for some reason. Alternatively, they could mean any number of seekers (Thundercracker, Dirge, etc) who would all share the same character model of Starscream and simply have a different pallet of colors. Not sure what Aerialbot or Protectobot means either in this context. In G1, that is like the Constructicons as 5 Aerialbots merge to form Superion and 5 Protectobots merge to form Defensor. In this case, Aerialbot probably the name for the Breakaway character repaint and Protectobot is the rename for Ratchet. Thanks to D-Squared and Gregory for the link.

The Seeker (Skywarp) doesn't look anything like Starscream which I am glad for.
ReplyDeleteLets hope that if they are in the movie, they continue to not look like Starscream clones since that would just be a lazy cop-out, in my opinion.
It was fine for G1 because of budget and time and Animated simply did a tribute which was also fine, but if they do that in the movie verse, that is just lazy (which is something I don't expect from them) and takes away from the originality of the characters to simply make identical clones.
It's also kinda sad Arcee wont be a playable character... but I am finding it odd how hush hush her character has been for so long.
Kind of disappointing that Sideswipe isn't playable either. Doubt I would have got the game anyways, but if he were in... I might've thought a little harder about it.

ReplyDelete@Y2G Yeah, this list is extremely weak. It almost seems like it's a fake. Why on earth wouldn't they include some obvious fan favorites like Sideswipe, the Twins, Jetfire, a couple of the Constructicons, maybe even some special levels built around Arcee, Ravage, and Soundwave.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, there's practically no difference from the first game. Grindor is basically Blackout. Who's going to want to play as Sideways when you know he's going to get his ass beat by Sideswipe?
I do agree on the new model for Skywarp and hope that carries over into the movie.

They screwed up again, we can't play as sideswipe, the twins, any of the motorcyle bots, not all of the constructicons, devastator, the fallen......these people dont know how to get a clue when the last game sucked cause not everyone was playable, they gotta make everyone playable.

ReplyDeleteAll the characters could still end up in the game but yes, unfortunate if you can't play all of them to at least some extent. I think it would defeat the purpose somewhat but who knows, I think this is either fake or all the details haven't been released yet.

ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean you "don't think so"? What else could it possibly be? Streetwise is the Protectobot who turned into the cop car, and cop cars usually have a giant number on their roof. Unless maybe it's Prowl, but since the Protectobots have been announced, and Prowl hasn't, I'm gonna go with that.

They could have made him into a chopper with a different model or they couldve just named him blackout. this is one of the many screw ups in this retarded list. To put it lightly,this really sucks! maybe they will put more characters in multiplayer mode but i doubt it! is amazing how the are destroying a game that has a theme with so much potential! Well i guess it wouldn't be the first time that the video game world has let me down.

I have always been an advocate of leaving Scorpio alone... I am an over eager younger fan too (I'm 14) Some other TransFans yell at me to stop posting five million TFW2005 topics everyday, but I am just excited for all of the new toys and the movie coming out soon.

The game was boasting 40 characters playable (no reference to whether they include download characters)
I think that they should include all movie characters for NON-DOWNLOAD. Otherwise that kind of defeats the purpose of having non-download new characters... (why have them programmed in when people would actually but them online?) They should have a deal like with MUA2 where if you preorder you get an extra character exclusive to pre ordering (I know about the gold deal) Like you can play as Jetfire online if you pre order (maybe he is single player only)
In any case, there are Protectibots, Combaticons, Aerialbots, COnstructicons, Omnibots, and Seekers in the Battle for the AllSpark game v2. They are rendered like they would be in the game so I am guessing all of them are drone classes in the game as suggested before. I would like to play as Omnibots non-download, but this may not be the case. Other characters outta be included too.
Last thing: That robot Sideways is attacking is probably Wheeljack seeing the off-white and blue color scheme, the sporty look of his overall form, and the little light-up "ears" that are puny in the picture, but would be him none the less. Does anyone else see that?
"Autobot Wall-E" is a reformatted version of "SkidMudswipe" from previous posts. From now on, I will go with this seeing how that is my TFW2005 name. I am done with the long process of getting the AIM SkidMudswipe name to load.
