Blu-Ray Extra Features Now Live

According to Relentless (thanks), if you have Transformers on Blu-ray, the extra features and sneak peak at Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is now up on BD-Live. The features include a new scene from ROTF, new documentaries and Transformers I cut scenes. Exactly how you access it BD-Live is something you will have to work out for yourself as I don't have a Blu-ray player. As for DVD owners, I know my copy didn’t come with an online code so not sure how that is going to work out. I am hoping the extra features will make their way to YouTube.

Scalan15 adds that if your having a problem find the new content, "you need to delete the prior transformers BD Data file, once you delete that and start the disc up it should work."

Update: From Aaron comments, most of the features are not new. As for the new scene, it what takes place after their adventures with Alice and before the The Doctor may or may not torture Sam.
"Sam, Mikaela and Leo are driving away from something (picks up mid-scene, so no idea what's going on). An Mh-53 picks them up, no markings to indicate if Blackout/Grindor (it's fast), drops some sort of hook on them, lifts them airborn to drag away. This leads to the scene we've seen many times with a car rotating in mid-air with Sam holding on for dear life from the passenger door. It goes on to imply they've been flown a long distance to a warehouse where the car is dropped from a height of 50+ feet, crashes thru the glass roof of the building, lands on concrete and immediately settles on the roof of the car, the airbags deploy. Then the scene we've seen several times of a saw blade opening up the car and Starscream overlooking the newly opened insides of the car. Never shows if anyone gets out OK or runs away."

  2. hello everyone! i wanted to give you some information regarding the sneak peek´s on the transformers bd-live footage! sadly it´s not full screen but a relatively small window (i would guess it´s 40 % of the screen size)

the second and the third peek are the already known clips with demolisher, entitled "shanghai" and the one where sam and mickaela are hiding in the desert, entitled "adobe hut".

BUT NOW THERE IS A NEW CLIP!

    SPOILERS AHEAD: BE CAREFUL !

we see sam, mickaela and sam´s buddy from school in an already damaged silver car on the run from something. suddenly blackout comes, shoots a spike into the roof of the car and flies away with them. part of the scene has been seen on the trailer, where mickaela is screeming and sam rearly falling out of the vehicle. then blackout drops the car from ceveral hundred feet!! and a heavy impact is following. then starscream appears, cuts the car in two and is growling and spitting.

    SPOILER ENDING!

the clip was pretty impressive with absolute superb music and a lot of fancy camera work. god, the 24th couldn´t come fast enough.......
good that i´m getting my copy of the score this friday!!!

i have to apologyze for my spelling and maybe a few typing errors, but i´m giving my best.
have a nice day and count the days!;)

    greetings from germany, joe

  3. Gotta disagree with joshua here, we've seen some of it, but not all. Just a FEW seconds of new stuff, but it's good.

We've seen parts of this before, but never together. The visuals are amazing, gotta love Blu-Ray.

  5. Hey guys, so aside from the three sneak peak clips for the new movie, there is also very rough CGI render of Barricade fighting Ratchet in Mission City. I posted this on another blog on this site, but I think this thread is more relavent.

Barricade does this cool flip off the side of a building, transforming into car mode before he hits the ground. I'm not sure if Ratchet kills him or if Barricade just makes a run for it, but I have a feeling he didn't make it. It would explain why he wasn't seen in ROTF.

I'm guessing his scene was cut due to both time constraints and cost. The other battles and transformers in Mission City played an important part of the story. Cutting their scenes would have caused larger continuity errors. Barricade's scene was probably minor compared to the others. This also explains why Ratchet was missing when Sam was calling for him to help Bumblebee when his legs got blown off. He was fighting Barricade.

  6. @karimpie:

go to the bd-live menu and delete everything you have previously downloaded for transformers. then throw the disc out and delete the transformers folder on the ps3 (in the movie section). now put the disc back in and it should work.

    and for everybody else:
does somebody know news about a directors cut or a special edition regarding the first movie? the are so many plotholes that can easily be fixed with a few added scenes

and does anyone of you know the latest news for an extendet or an directors cut for the first movie? lot of plotholes can be fixed with just a few additional scenes

  8. For those with Blu-ray players and you can't see the new material:

Go to your Blu-ray menu. Not the Movie's menu, but the player's system menu. Go to the BD-live data and delete the transformers 1 folder (there might be two or more of them, delete them all). Then shut down the player, wait a few minutes, and then start it up again. Now just download the BD-Live content again and you'll get the new stuff.

  9. To anonymous @ 3:03pm:

I can see a directors cut with additional human scenes added, but I doubt that's what we're all hoping for. I myself know I would love to see a completed scene of what happened to Barricade. I posted earlier that there is a very rough CGI render of him and Ratchet fighting (just a few seconds), but I doubt Bay or the distro companies will spend another million dollars to just add one scene to a 2 year old movie.
