Transformers Linkfest

Time for another "linkfest". More galleries of upcoming toys from Hasbro and Takara including Generations, Buzz Lightyear and Ghost Starscream. Also videos of the War for Cybertron credits and Hound fan art.

Official Transformers Generations Gallery
Click the link to view a gallery that shows off the 3rd wave of Transformers Generations toys. This wave, due on stores more or less now, is W4C Megatron, W4C Soundwave, Classic Red Alert and Darkmount (based on G1 Straxus).

Dreadwing and Smokescreen Gallery
A look at new additions to the Transformers (minus ROTF) line that is hitting stores soon. Dreadwing is voyager sized and based on the Generation 2 toy. Smokescreen is a shuttle that can attack to Dreadwing's ship mode. Mostly I just like the shade of blue but beyond that think will wait for a review before determine if worth buying.

Disney Label Buzz Lightyear Released
In time for Toy Story 3, the next entry into the Disney Label is out. The toy is a Japan exclusive that usually costs around $50 if plan to get from your favorite TF importer. Unlike the previous entries (Mickey/Optimus, Donald/Bumblebee), this one has no comparable G1 counterpart it is emulating. Gallery of the toy at the link.

Ghost Masterpiece Starscream Out
Another new release and currently Japan exclusive is yet another re-use of the Masterpiece Starscream mold. The idea is this is the "Ghost" version of Starscream from the final season of Transformers as Starscream's spark (soul) is immortal. The clear look is very sweet looking but not sure with the around $125 price point if plan on importing it.

Classics Clear Rodimus Gallery
The image is for a repaint of the Classics Hot Rod (Rodimus for copyright reasons) that is clear. I don't see the "clear" aspect in the images so not sure what it means but apparently the toy may be a 2010 San Diego Comic Con Exclusive or for Target. Mostly I am just posting the link because it shows off five Hot Rods from the last few years and in the background is a sizable collection on display (hmm, I may need to copy that idea one day).

War for Cybertron Closing Credits with Stan Bush
There was a rumor that Stan Bush's music was going to be used in some fashion for Transformers: War for Cybertron and it turns out to be true just not with the expected song. Instead of "The Touch", the song from the game's closing credits (below) is "Til All Are One" which was part of the Botcon CD set from a year or so ago and also on Stan Bush's current album "In This Life".

Hound Fan Made Design
Below is a video/slideshow of a fan created art for Hound that invokes his G1 Jeep, this time using the World War II era Jeep. From Jamie Egerton, it is also just a cool way to see Photoshop at work and how it can create realistic looking art. Thanks to Jed for the link.
