Executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, writers of the first two Transformers live-action films, hope to give the franchise a new feel via advanced visual technology and original stories, while retaining its connection to the long-running mythology. "It's a deeper exploration of everything from what happened on Cybertron to their arrival on Earth. Things we've only hinted at in the movies we can really spend time getting into on the show," Kurtzman says.
In a touch that should please fans of the original 1980s series, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker will reprise their roles as the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron. Cullen also supplied Optimus Prime's voice in the films.

Transformers Prime Trailer and Clip.
The Hub finally decided it was time to reveal more information about Transformers: Prime by letting everyone know about the "mini-series" event that gets off with an hour long premiere on November 26th. Still no news on the exact time slot of the show. USA Today posted an article with a clip while IGN has the first trailer for the new cartoon. USA Today mentions that there will be toys with the new series but no release date for them. Based on what little is show in the videos below, the CGI seems more Beast Wars Season 1 then Beast Wars Season 3 in detail.

Man...those robots have poor aim in the 2nd trailer.
ReplyDeleteIt looks too empty. Like it was animated by a college student who only had time to model the robots and none of the backgrounds. Even the first season of Beast Wars looked more "real" and that was like 1995!
ReplyDelete*sigh* I just doesn't seem to have the life that some of the other series had...kinda hollow, ya know?
ReplyDeleteyeah...it does look a bit dull. It's just that "improved hollywood" things really get messed up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a load of pig crap
ReplyDeleteAre they even trying with this? Yawn.
